A/N: since I think that I was grasping at straws on Game of Life, I decided to document the supposed events that can support this pairing.
Chapter 7: The Acknowledgement [Part 11]
Months have passed, and that day is Rukia's formal ceremony for her appointment as vice-captain of squad 13 th.
Though she had never had a rank before, no one questioned her appointment, because of her contribution to the recent war, and her abilities.
And as Rukia celebrated her new rank with her friends and fellow shinigamis, she could not help but feel sad.
For Byakuya didn't even approach her.
Acknowledge her accomplishment somehow…
But who is she kidding…
After what had happened…
Why should she even hope, that he'd spare her the time of his day.
Lonesome…
Since she left for her mission, they never talked more than a sentence to one another.

.
But instead of dwelling on that emotion, Rukia spent her time fulfilling her new role.
Vice-captain of 13th.
Everyday at work, she find her passion in teaching the new recruits how to become a good shinigami.
How to become stronger, and stand up for what you believe.
And in the weekends, Rukia and Renji, spent time in Rukongai 73rd to give back to their people.
Return to were they have come from…The place they had called hell before.
Now that they have changed and succeeded.
They want to change Hanging Dog as well….
With Rukia's mission to make their district better, Renji was empowered to make a change as well.
Renji taught the kids how to protect themselves. How to survive.
And Rukia taught them how to live their life, caring for one another.
Because to her, strength is not when you can stand alone and face the world, like Byakuya.
It is when you stand in the world, with other people who cared for one another.
It's sad.
