- I don't really know much about the Eternals so when I saw the teaser trailer, I wasn't too excited for it. Not that I hate it or anything. It does kind of suck that the Black Widow film won't be released until July but better a delayed movie that turns out to be good than a hastily released bad one.

- I remember saying in one of the earliest chapters that the Spider-Man in this story is the one Tom Holland portrays. Now that I think about it though, he's more of a composite blend between the MCU Peter Parker and the Insomniac videogame verse Peter with a few traits from the 616 Peter.

...

Spider-Man donned his winter coat once more before he headed down the hall. He and Captain Marvel would be going over to Jessica's apartment soon. There was just one person he needed to speak with before they left. Stepping into the training room, Peter found her...sparring with the Black Widow.

He stood on the sidelines, watching as they traded blows with each other. Wanda and Natasha were moving fast and without hesitation. For every punch/kick that the Scarlet Witch threw, the Black Widow either swiftly blocked or dodged before she launched her own series of counter-strikes. Neither of them were able to get an upper-hand on each other for a couple of minutes.

Their little stalemate finally ended when Natasha caught Wanda by the arm and pulled her down to the mat. Keeping her legs down on her opponent's upper body, she yanked on the limb and held it in a tight armbar. The young Sokovian woman struggled valiantly and held on for as long as she could...but in the end, she was forced to tap out.

"That was a good match." Natasha said, offering her hand. "Are you okay?"

Wanda grabbed the Black Widow's hand hand and pulled herself up to her feet. "Yeah, thanks. I almost thought you were going to break my arm for a moment back there."

"We were only training...I wasn't going to go that far. Still, just because I held back doesn't mean the enemy will."

"I know."

The Black Widow patted her on the shoulder. "We'll have to work on your skills in breaking out of an enemy's hold."

"That would be wise. I know how to escape a chokehold attempt but not an armbar like that." Wanda muttered before she looked to the right and spotted her boyfriend. "Hey, Peter. What's up?"

Spider-Man stepped towards them. "You two fought pretty well. You sure you're both okay?"

The Black Widow began to unwrap the tape around her hands. "A little sore and bruised but we're alright. I think we've managed to burn off all the food we ate for lunch."

That explained why they were training again so soon. "Heh, we did eat a lot. I've never seen such a huge plate of chicken quesadillas disappear so quickly."

Wanda chuckled. "What can we say? I think yours and May's cooking has pretty much ruined all other foods for us. So what brings you here? You look like you're about to go out."

"Carol and I are about to head over to Jessica's apartment." Peter said. "I was wondering if you'd like to come with us."

"Jessica's place, huh? Did she ever find that missing dog?"

"She found the dog just this morning. Jessica invited us over to celebrate with her by sharing a drink from the bottle of Medovukha we gave."

The Scarlet Witch wiped some sweat off her forehead with the back of her hand. "I'll go with you guys. Just let me take a quick shower and change first."

"Take your time. Carol and I will wait for you in the motorpool." Spidey said.

"The motorpool? We're driving there?"

"Yeah, in my car. It's been a long time since I last took it out for a spin."

Wanda raised an eyebrow. She thought they'd just fly or web-swing their way to Jessica's apartment...although that wouldn't be so pleasant in the cold winter air. "I didn't know you had a car."

Natasha smirked. "Peter rarely ever drives it so I'm not surprised. Tony and I convinced him to get one about three years after the Decimation."

"What kind of car is it?"

"A 1969 blue Chevy Camaro classic. Peter found the car rusting away in some abandoned parking lot and brought it here so he could restore it himself...he even added some modifications to it."

The Scarlet Witch let out an impressed whistle. "Sounds like a nice car. How come I've never seen it around before?"

"I leave it parked at May's place most of the time. The car she used to drive was pretty old and had broken down a while back." He explained. "May needs it more than I do and I prefer to travel by my webs anyways."

That proved to be a smart idea on his part. Had his car been parked at the Avengers Compound back then, it would've been utterly destroyed by the missile bombardment that Thanos ordered.

"Well, I can't wait to see your car for myself. I'll be down in a few minutes."

Wanda quickly kissed Peter before she left for her room. The Black Widow finished unraveling the white tape around her hands and threw them into the trash.

"You want to come with us?"

She reluctantly declined. "Wish I could...but I promised Maria I'd help with her training today. I'm sorry."

The young Spider shook his head. "It's okay. Just remember what May said. Keep her exercises light and easy for the first week or so."

"Of course. We wouldn't want to upset your aunt. Give Jessica my love when you see her."

"Will do. I'll catch up with you later."

Natasha gave Peter a sweet kiss, with her hand caressing the side of his face. Peter smiled and hugged her for a brief moment before he finally turned around to leave. The Black Widow went to prepare the light dumbbells and resistance bands that Hill was going to need for her rehabilitation workout. Spider-Man got into the elevator and waited for FRIDAY to bring it down to the motorpool. Captain Marvel was waiting by his car, decked out in a warm sweater and jacket. Resting in the cosmic heroine's arms was her pet Flerken. Goose had her eyes closed, purring quietly as her owner scratched her behind the ears.

The alien feline's ears twitched around when she heard him approach. She jumped out of Carol's arms and ran towards the webslinger. Spidey just sighed as Goose climbed up to the top of his head and laid down. Captain Marvel couldn't help but laugh at the way her pet Flerken's paws were lazily dangling in the front and back of his head.

Peter reached up to scratch the cat behind her ears. "I didn't know Goose was coming."

"She's not." Carol said, pushing her finger against one of the feline's soft paw pad. "Goose just wandered in here a moment ago and waited with me for a little bit. Will Wanda be joining us?"

"Yeah, Wanda's just taking a quick shower first. She and Natasha were sparring against each other when I found them. Hope you don't mind waiting a little longer."

"Not at all."

She turned her attention back to the car behind her. Placing her hand on the metal hood, Carol looked at the vehicle with a bit of amusement. She used to drive a similar car like this herself twenty years ago. The only difference was that her vehicle had been a 1973 Ford Mustang Mach one model.

"Still can't believe this is the same rusty pile of junk that you brought back." She said.

He sighed, remembering how long it took him to restore the car to it's former glory. "I know. It took me three months to replace or fix all the damaged parts inside...and then another two months to build the new engine for it."

"I remember. Natasha and I helped a little by installing the new brakes and hydraulics system in your car. Has May had any problems with driving it?"

"Other than a flat tire last month, no. I'm happy to say the car's been holding up well."

Carol reached over to give Peter a friendly pat on the back. "Considering this is the first car you've ever restored, you did a good job."

Peter placed his arm around her shoulders. "Thanks. I couldn't have done it without you and Natasha."

Goose let out a huge yawn before she laid back down on the young Spider's head and closed her eyes. Peter and Carol quietly laughed at the adorable Flerken as they raised their hands to pet her on the head. The Scarlet Witch would be coming down to join them any moment now. Until then, there was no harm in letting Goose take a nap on his head for a little longer.

...

"We're almost there. Just a few more blocks down this road."

The traffic light turned red and Spider-Man hit the brakes just in time for the car to stop a safe distance away from the vehicle in front. Captain Marvel was in the passenger seat beside him, stroking her pet Flerken's fur as she napped on her lap. The Scarlet Witch sat in the back and was dozing off a bit.

The hour long drive from the Compound to the city had made her a little sleepy.

Neither of them planned on bringing Goose with them but the alien feline jumped into the car when they opened the doors. In the end, Peter decided there was no harm in her coming along. That and he didn't want to risk making Goose upset...which might've resulted in her eating his car. Wanda didn't have any complaints so far riding in Peter's car. Their journey to the city had been a smooth comfortable one.

A trip this long would've forced them to stop for gas at one point, no matter how good a car's mileage was...but they never did much to her surprise.

"Hey, Peter. Could I ask you something?"

Her boyfriend looked at her from the rear view mirror. "What's up?"

"Did you double the size of the fuel tank of this car or something?" The young Sokovian woman asked. She'd been wondering about this for most of their journey. "We never stopped to refuel on gas."

Carol answered this one. "Oh, Peter's car doesn't run on gasoline. The whole car is powered by the hydrogen-injected ICE that he made."

"ICE?"

"It's short for internal combustion engine. The salt/solar actuator I built converts fresh or salt water into hydrogen, compacting the non-convertible detritus within the water so it can be used as clean fuel. When it burns through the engine, all it releases into the air is water vapour." Peter explained, driving forward when the light turned green.

Not wanting to add to the problem of climate change by using gasoline, the young Spider spent a lot of time and effort in making a new car engine that could utilize clean energy instead. Building the engine itself had proven to be quite a difficult challenge though. It took a lot of trial and error on his part before he was able to make it work both properly and efficiently.

Wanda nodded slowly. She understood the basic gist of it. "So your car uses hydrogen converted from water as fuel, which in turn avoids releasing pollutants into the air. I always knew you were smart, Peter...but damn. That's pretty impressive."

"Ah, it was nothing. I just wanted to do my part in keeping the air we breathe clean."

She and Carol shared a look before they shook their heads out of amusement. Peter was just as humble as ever...despite the fact that he may have invented something that could reduce air pollution and lower greenhouse emissions drastically.

Spidey slowed down at the end of 46th street and turned to the right. Jessica's apartment was just a few meters away from where they were. He quickly parked the car in a spot that was next to the sidewalk of her building.

Peter opened the door and climbed out of the driver's seat. "Don't forget to bring Goose, Carol."

She carried the pet Flerken in her arms. "Don't worry, I got her."

"Which floor is Jessica's apartment?" The Scarlet Witch asked, putting on a hat and pair of sunglasses to disguise herself before she got out of the car.

"She's on the twelfth floor. We'll head on up in a second. Karen, you there?"

"I always am, Peter." His A.I. partner responded. "What can I do for you?"

He hit a button on the remote that was chained to his keys. "We're about to visit Jessica for a little while. Could you keep an eye on the car while we're gone?"

"Of course. Activating security systems now."

"Thanks, Karen. You're the best."

Peter turned his attention back to the others. "All set. Shall we?"

Goose leapt out of her owner's arms before they could answer and climbed her way up to the top of his head yet again. Peter just led the way with a quiet sigh while Carol and Wanda giggled at how funny he looked as they followed him.

The elevator wasn't working...not that it surprised him. That damn thing was always broken for some reason. The three of them had to walk up through twelve flights of stairs until they finally reached their floor. Spider-Man and Captain Marvel were fine but the Scarlet Witch was feeling a little winded from climbing up so many stairs.

"You alright?" Carol asked, placing her hand on Wanda's shoulder.

She nodded her head. "Yeah. Legs are just sore from all those steps we climbed. Now I remember why I hate taking the stairs."

Peter chuckled as he raised his finger and pressed the doorbell twice. His ears could hear the sound of a chair being pushed back before footsteps began to approach the door from the other side.

"Took you all long enough to get here." Jessica said as she opened the door. Her eyes widened upon seeing Spidey...standing before her with a cat lazing about on his head.

He greeted her with a friendly wave. "Hey, Jessica."

"Hi...that's a wild orange hat you got there."

"Ha ha, very funny. Sorry if we're late."

She motioned for them to come in. "Not at all. Carol, Wanda...it's good to see you both again."

The Scarlet Witch smiled as she removed her jacket. "You too. Thanks for inviting us over."

"I should be thanking you for giving me that bottle of Medovukha. Been looking forward to find out what it tastes like."

"Hope you don't mind us bringing Goose here." Captain Marvel said. "She pretty much insisted on coming along."

Jessica shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. "It's fine with me...just make sure she doesn't eat any of my stuff."

Peter could hear the sound of paper rustling coming from the back. "Is somebody else here?"

"That's just Trish. She's helping me organize some of my old case files. Make yourselves at home."

The young Spider went to the kitchen to help grab the cups they'd need. Goose leapt down from his head and wandered off to explore her new surroundings. Wanda and Carol followed the private detective. This was the first time they've ever been to Jessica's home and the two of them were curious to see what her work space looked like.

"How's it going, Trish?" Jessica asked, stepping into her office.

Her best friend was standing beside her desk, putting some papers into a neat pile before she placed them into a folder. "Almost done. There's just two more of these files to put away. You really need to tidy your desk more often."

"I'll be sure to do that later, mom. You can stop now anyways. Our guests are here."

Trish looked away from her work and widened her eyes. Standing behind her friend was a member of the Avengers, the Scarlet Witch. The former radio host didn't recognize the blonde woman but considering she came with Ms. Maximoff, it was safe to assume she was also a member of the famous superhero team.

"This is Trish Walker, my best friend. We grew up together." Jessica introduced. "Trish, meet Wanda Maximoff and Carol Danvers."

The beautiful Sokovian woman stepped forward and extended her hand. "It's nice to meet you."

It took a second for Trish to snap out of her awe and shake Wanda's hand. "L-likewise. It's an honour to meet you both."

Captain Marvel nodded at her with a warm smile. "Pleasure's all ours. I assume you know who Peter is then?"

"You mean do I know that he's Spider-Man? Yeah, I do. He and I met a long time ago. Don't worry, Peter's a good friend of mine and I have no intention of revealing his secret identity to anyone."

"It's amazing that Trish has managed to keep it to herself this long. Usually, she's a bit of a blabber-mouth." Her best friend teased.

The former radio host rolled her eyes and grumpily shoved the raven haired woman by the shoulder. Jessica just smirked before she moved to put away the folders that were already organized. Carol and Wanda shared a quiet laugh together, amused by their playful antics. It was obvious the two of them were very close to each other.

The cosmic powered heroine's eyes wandered around the room for a moment. Like Peter said earlier, Jessica's office looked similar to the ones that she's seen on old tv shows. Hers was a little more spartan though, with only a large desk and three chairs for furniture in the room. There were a couple of lamps placed near the walls. Behind the desk was what she presumed to be the private detective's liquor cabinet...judging by the two empty bottles of whiskey that were sitting on top of it.

"Is Peter here too?" Trish asked.

"Yep, he's in the kitchen." Wanda said...before the scent of something sweet and savory drifted into the room. "Does anyone else smell that?"

Carol's nose twitched a bit. "It smells like cheese...and thyme? I think Peter's cooking up something."

Wanting to see what Spider-Man was making, Captain Marvel and the others walked towards the kitchen. Peter was nowhere to be found though when they got there. A group of drinking cups were arranged neatly at the table. On the countertop next to the oven was a large baking pan. Placed within the pan was a filo sheet that had been brushed with some olive oil. Laying on top of the sheet were numerous unbaked rolls, each one drizzled with a bit of honey.

There was a handwritten note placed beside the cookie sheet. The Scarlet Witch picked it up and quickly read what was written.

'Just left to take care of something real quick. I'll be back soon. In the meantime, I've finished making some goat cheese pastry cigars as a little snack for us. All you need to do is put it in the oven and bake them for eight to ten minutes. Once they're golden brown, they'll be ready to eat.'

"What does it say?" Jessica asked.

"Peter left to take care of something. Doesn't say what though. He asked us to put these in the oven for him and let it bake for eight to ten minutes."

Trish lifted the pan up and took a whiff of the pastry cigars. Even unbaked, the ingredients used to make them smelled pretty good. The oven had already been preheated beforehand and she placed the pan inside. She set the timer for ten minutes just to be safe and went to sit down beside Carol at the table.

"Should we go check on him?" The cosmic powered heroine quietly asked, looking a little worried.

Wanda thought about it for a moment. "No, I think he'll be okay. If it was something really bad, Peter would've brought one of us with him."

That was a fair point. Still, they all couldn't help but wonder just it was that made the young Spider leave.

...

Peter dried the clean mixing bowl with a rag before he put it back in one of the cabinets. He just finished washing all the dishes and utensils that were used to make the pastry cigars. All that needed to be done now was to wait for the oven to heat up so he could bake the goat cheese flavored snack. As Spidey checked the temperature gauge, the keys in his pocket suddenly vibrated with a loud buzzing noise. A frown of annoyance formed across his face...there was only one reason why his keys would be doing so.

"You got to be kidding me. I've only been here for ten minutes." He grumbled. "Tell me what's happening, Karen."

His partner promptly explained what was going on. "Four men are trying to break the windows to your car with the intent of stealing it. Shall I use one of the security counter measures on them?"

"...Not yet. I'll head downstairs and talk to these guys. Give them a chance to walk away before they commit the crime."

"And if they don't listen?"

"Then feel free to fry the bastards. Just enough to incapacitate, not kill them."

Karen sounded a little gleeful with her response. "Understood."

It didn't surprise him to learn that someone was attempting to steal his car. Jessica's apartment was located in a rough part of the city and there were a lot of small time crooks living around here. Out of all the criminals the young Spider has stopped over the years, carjackers and muggers were the most common ones that he had to take down.

Peter grabbed a sticky note pad from one of the drawers. Writing down simple instructions on what to do with the pastry cigars for the others, he placed the note beside the baking pan. The young Spider left the room and opened one of the windows that was located above the alleyway down below. The nanites within his web-shooters formed the gloves around his hands. Making sure nobody was around first, he climbed out of the window and web-crawled his way down to the ground.

Spider-Man ran out of the alley once his feet hit the floor. He turned to the right at the corner and saw four guys punching away at the windows of his car, just like Karen said. Peter stood back for a moment and quietly laughed at their futile attempts to get inside the vehicle. The glass on his windows were bulletproof, strong enough to withstand a point-blank shotgun blast. The only things that would be breaking were their hands if they kept trying to punch the glass.

Peter finally moved forward to confront them when one of the carjackers picked up a crowbar. It wouldn't help their efforts at all but he also didn't want to risk getting any scratches on his ride.

"Hey, fellas." He said, getting their attention. "Hate to interrupt whatever it is you're doing but that's my car you're hitting."

One of the car thieves, presumably the leader of this group, stepped forward with the steel crowbar in hand. He was doing his best to look menacing but Peter wasn't even fazed by his bad attempt to intimidate him. Having faced and defeated the worst type of villains many times before, there was very little that could even scare him now.

"You the owner of this car?"

"I believe I just said so, yes. You hard of hearing?"

"Shut up!" The big bullying man tapped the crowbar against the palm of his free hand. His cronies stood by his side, ready to back him up. "Hand over the damn keys before this gets ug-"

"Yeah, I'm not going to do that." Peter interrupted before he could even finish the sentence. "If I were you guys, I would walk away. It won't end well for any of you if you touch my car again."

The group of crooks looked at each other before they broke out in mocking laughter. Spidey just sighed...he knew this would happen. A small part of him foolishly hoped they would listen and leave but that hope was quickly dashed.

"Last chance, you morons. Leave now."

The leader scoffed before he and his buddies surrounded his car again, ready to lay their hands on it again. "No fucking way. We're not leaving without this ride."

Peter pinched the bridge of his nose. "...I did warn them, didn't I?"

"Indeed you did." Karen said into his ear. "Shall I activate one of the counter-measures now?"

"...Do it."

"Give us the keys or we'll beat your sorry ass!"

The big bully slammed his hand down on the roof of the blue Chevy Camaro...which proved to be a mistake. Karen had activated one of the security counter measures and now the car was shocking him with fifty thousand volts of pure electricity. The poor bastard's teeth was chattering loudly as hot excruciating pain assaulted the nerves in his body.

Two of his lackeys suffered the same fate as they had been leaning their arms against the car. The last two guys were momentarily distracted by what was happening to their buddies. Peter rushed forward and punched one of them behind the ear, knocking him unconscious. The other man tried to hit him with a hasty punch but he easily ducked beneath his fist. Peter then lashed out a swift kick into his groin, taking care to hold back his strength.

Tears poured out of the carjacker's eyes as he clutched at his hurting crotch and collapsed on his knees. The young Spider put the man to sleep by tapping his fist against the back of his head. The other three guys managed to move their hand or arms away from his car before they fell down too, unable to stand on their numb legs.

Spidey watched them writhe on the ground for a moment. As painful as this counter measure felt, they were pretty lucky to not have triggered the other one. His car normally would've tasered the crooks right away after Karen found them to be hostiles. The only reason that didn't happen now was because he wanted to give them a chance to walk away before they could commit the crime.

"Should've listened to me earlier, dumbass." Peter muttered, grabbing the convulsing leader by the scruff of his jacket. He raised his fist and cold-cocked him across the face. "When you all wake up again, you'll be in a nice warm jail-cell."

He knocked out the last two guys with two gentle taps of his fist to their heads. Dragging each of their unconscious forms away from his car, Spidey used their coats to tie their hands against one of the light posts on the opposite street. Using his webbing to bind their limbs would be too risky as he had confronted them without his mask.

There was a chance these morons might figure out his secret identity if they came to hours later and saw the webbing covering their hands.

Peter made sure their hands were secured tightly around the post of the streetlight. "Have you called the police, Karen?"

"I already have. A patrol car with two police officers has been dispatched and are on their way. I have also sent footage taken from one of the local cameras in the area that shows these men trying to break into your car anonymously to the police."

"Nice work. Were there any issues with the security system?"

"The power came on a little slower this time but that's only because you asked me to hold off on activating the charge." Karen informed. "Otherwise, everything is working just fine. Might I suggest we leave before the police get here?"

He nodded in agreement. "Good idea. We've probably kept the others waiting for too long anyways."

Peter took one last look at the tied up unconscious car thieves before he entered the lobby to Jessica's apartment again. Hopefully, those pastry cigars were finished baking by now. He wouldn't mind having a little snack right now...and a frosty glass of that Medovukha to wash the dust down his throat.

...

Jessica was about to eat one of the pastry cigars Peter made for everyone when the doorbell suddenly rang again. Already knowing who it was on the other side, the raven haired woman excused herself from the table to answer the door. She and the others were very curious about what it was that he left to take care of.

"Hey, Jessica." He greeted as she opened the door.

The private detective quickly pulled him inside. "Are you okay?"

"I'm alright."

"Good. Now care to explain why you left so suddenly?"

Spidey gave her a friendly pat on the back. "I will. Just let me get something to drink first. The cold air outside made my throat a little parched."

Jessica nodded before she grabbed him by the arm and led the way to her kitchen. The others looked up and were visibly relieved when they saw them enter the room together. Wanda stood from her chair and moved to give Peter a big hug.

"I'm glad to see you're not hurt. Is everything okay?" She asked.

Peter gave Wanda a quick kiss. "Yeah, everything's fine. I'm sorry if I worried you guys."

Jessica poured some of the Sokovian Medovukha into a glass cup before she handed it over to the young Spider. He accepted the drink and thanked her with a gracious nod. Pulling out a chair beside the Scarlet Witch's, Spider-Man drank a careful sip of the Medovukha as he sat down. The flavor was pleasantly sweet with a bit of spiciness to it. The Sokovian beverage had low traces of alcohol in it so there wasn't the usual burn one would find in the aftertaste from drinking beer or whiskey.

"This isn't bad." Peter said, licking his lips.

The private detective smirked. "Yeah, it's pretty damn good. Now are you going to tell us what happened?"

"It was nothing too serious. Karen notified me that there were a bunch of idiots trying to steal my car again so I went down to stop them."

Carol's eyes widened a bit before she unexpectedly chuckled. "...Wouldn't the security measures you built into your car take those thieves down?"

"Yeah but I wanted to give them a chance to walk away. As you can guess, they didn't take it...and that's when Karen fried those dumb bastards."

Jessica laughed. "So she electrocuted them this time. Man, I wish I would've been there to see that."

"It was kind of funny." He admitted. "Anyways, I knocked the carjackers out and then cuffed them to one of the light posts across the street. The police have probably come to arrest them by now."

The private detective and Captain Marvel looked amused. Trish and Wanda on the other hand were understandably confused, not aware of the advanced modifications Spidey made in his car.

"Hold on a second...your car can electrocute people?" The former radio host asked.

Peter shook his head. "Not exactly. It just incapacitates any bad guys that tries to steal my car, like a normal taser would."

"How does it know who the bad guys are?"

"The security system I installed in my car is controlled by Karen...or at least by her subroutines. She can determine who a thief or a crook may be based on their actions or any suspicious items that they could be carrying. In this case, it wasn't hard for her to figure out who these morons were because they were literally trying to break through the windows of my car."

Wanda remembered seeing a little computer screen that was located beneath the CD player of his car. That must've been the security system Peter made.

Trish's eyes widened a bit. "That's a pretty advanced ride you have. Think you could build a security system like that for my car?"

"Uh, maybe. It would need the help of an A.I. to function properly though."

Jessica scoffed. "I don't think you'll ever have to worry about your car being stolen, Trish. That bucket of bolts barely runs properly most of the time."

She glared at her best friend and was about to tell her off when Goose suddenly leapt onto her lap from out of nowhere. The former radio host's annoyance quickly disappeared upon seeing the cute orange feline.

"Hello there, cutie." Trish cooed, petting her on the head. "I assume this is Goose?"

Carol nodded. "Yeah. She was probably wandering around the place while we were in here."

While the two blondes talked about the cat, Spidey tossed back another shot of the Medovukha. Peter would love to have more of the Sokovian drink but he was driving home later and didn't want to risk the chance of getting drunk. The Scarlet Witch grabbed the last two pastry cigars on her plate and put them on his.

"Thanks, Wanda."

She smiled, placing her hand on top of Peter's. "Anytime. You're just lucky I was able to save these two for you. They tasted so good that we ate most of the other ones."

Taking a bite out of her own pastry cigar, Jessica's eyes softened a bit at the young couple. She was going to get cavities if they continued to be so sweet with each other in front of her.

"You two look so good together." She said. "You've been together for a while now...ever think about tying the knot with each other any time soon?"

Spider-Man and the Scarlet Witch looked at each other before they quietly chuckled. This was the second time they've been asked about the possibility of them settling down.

Wanda intertwined her fingers with Peter's. "We've actually talked about it before and agreed now wouldn't be the best time for that. Eventually in a year or two though...we plan to marry each other."

Both Trish and Jessica gave them a warm smile. They were looking forward to attending their wedding in the near future. The raven haired woman turned to Carol, knowing that she was dating Peter too. "And you?"

Captain Marvel didn't answer right away as she just got up from her seat. With a little grin on her face, she moved behind Spider-Man and threw her arms around him for a hug.

"I agree with them. It's too soon for any of us to consider the idea of marriage." Carol said, resting her chin on Peter's shoulder. "But I know I can't remain a galactic peacekeeper forever. When I finally do retire for good...Wanda and I will be looking forward to living a quiet life of our own with Peter."

..

- If the engine for Spidey's car sounds familiar...it's because it's the same kind that powers the iconic Warthogs. I assume MCU Peter's intelligence is about the same as the Peter Parker from the 616 comics verse. The guy once made a time machine out of a normal microwave. It wouldn't be impossible for him to build some of the tech that the Halo universe uses.

- As for why I chose the 1969 Chevy Camaro classic to be Peter's car, it seems like the kind of car that doesn't look too fancy or expensive but still maintains a cool distinctive design. Which befits the working class background that Peter comes from, more so because he painstakingly restores it from a wreck rather than just buying one.

- We're nearing the end of this story...just saying that saddens me a bit. To all of you who have stuck with this little story of mine so far, I humbly thank you.
