Now it has come to this. Enlisting the boys to do her dirty work.

She can't keep living this way. Living as though the last four years of their partnership has meant nothing.

Beckett thought things were getting better, was sure they were almost there. But now?

Her attention is brought back to the scene in front of her. Their voices controlled, understanding. Forcing Castle to speak wasn't working. They've changed tactics, trying to be compassionate.

"What should we ask Beckett?" says Espo, calmly.

Castle's facade is falling, he is breaking apart. "Ask her why she lied," he sighs, defeated.
