Chapter 83
Jerry was introducing his father to some of his classmates. He had been able to invite twenty-five individuals. First he had chosen his closest friends and then reached out to others he had befriended over the past four years. Some of his childhood friends from Santa Barbara were here. This was a very unique experience and he knew it. He had been excited to share it. His father knew his very best friends but for others this would be their very first time meeting a President. Jerry was very proud of his father and was enjoying the role of the First Son. He was enjoying the interaction between his father and his friends. Karen had grabbed their father first as soon as he and Olivia came through the door. Now it was his turn. He had squired Olivia about the ballroom introducing her as his step-mother and First Lady. Olivia was the ultimate party guest. She had wowed everyone she met. From his point of view "The Kid's Ball was a great success. He and his father were now standing at the mock bar drinking "mocktails."
His father was commenting on how interesting his classmates were and how glad he was to see Jerry come out of his shell. The "Olivia" influence had touched them all, but especially him. Jerry was coming into his own. He was making new friends. For the first time he was out of his intellectual box and was allowing himself to be a teenager and all that encompassed. He realized he would never be ordinary but at least now he believed he could be mostly normal. He wasn't dating as of yet but he was very much interested in girls and all that came with it. His father had "the bird and the bees talk" with him over the protest of his mother when he turned thirteen. He wasn't ready for sex and he knew that. That's not to say he hadn't thought about it. He simply wasn't ready for sex with a girl yet. More to the point he hadn't seen one girl that he wanted to look at the way his father looked at Olivia. His father hadn't given him the baby found under the cabbage patch nonsense. He had given him the facts and the mechanics of what went on between a man and a woman. His father had told him he could ask him anything and he had. That talk almost three years ago was old news. Why it had popped up in his thoughts tonight, he didn't know.
Tonight, was a special night. His father had won re-election and tonight celebrated that fact. His Dad and Olivia had turned this event over to them. He and Karen had their very own Ball and he was having a blast and so were his friends. You could tell his friends were freaking out being introduced to his father, who happened to be the President of the United States of America. Jerry was thinking most were shocked that his father was acting like a normal father would. He was being kind and gracious to his friends. He even autographed whatever his friends presented to him. He answered questions. It was awesome!
Everyone at school knew his father was the President but he assumed that actually getting to meet him was life-changing for most. Meanwhile Karen was presiding over the Ball as if she were a princess. Everyone seemed to be having a lot of fun. The Kid's Ball was apparently a huge success. Right now, the First Lady of the United States was on the dance floor going through the mechanics of the Cupid Shuffle like a pro. Apparently, she knew every step. She and Princess Karen were on the front row leading the revelers!
"Liv is having a great time Dad. She can really dance."
"Olivia is a great dancer. She knows all the popular dances. She even taught an old foggy like me a few new moves or should I say some moves period. I have two left feet but Olivia managed to bang some fundamental steps and a little bit of rhythm into my head. She said that I had a natural rhythm that she knew could be duplicated outside of the, never mind that. Anyway, the best thing is that she taught me to slow dance. That is a talent every male should learn to do. It is something very special holding your special girl close and dancing with her. I saw you out there a couple of time with the same girl. Is she special or what?"
"Jennifer is my friend. I like her a lot but we aren't in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. She's into "older men" and because we are the same age right now, she doesn't see me. I'm sure that you know the age-old adage that girls mature so much earlier than boys; thus, they usually ignore boys in their own age group. I say that it's a bunch of BS because I can assure you that I know the same stuff that seventeen and eighteen-year-olds know. I'm just not ready to act on it. When Jennifer does see me, who knows where our friendship will be. In the mean time I have an Ivy League university to get into. Technically I don't have time for girls anyway."
"Take your time son. You have plenty of time to come into your own as far as girls are concerned. You will know when you are ready."
"When did you know when you were ready Dad?"
"I didn't really know Jerry. Being ready was actually thrust upon me. Whether that was a good thing or not depends upon how you look at it. My youthful experience with "girls" was a bit different I dare say. One day I may tell you about it. For now, take my word for it, fifteen or even sixteen is much too young for serious involvement. And yes, I mean romantic or sexual involvement. Take it slow. You are on the right track. If you need me or my counsel along the way, just let me know."
"I will Dad. For sure I will be seeking a connection in the future very similar to what you share with Olivia. I hold your relationship with her as the gold standard in relationships. I know of its origins and unconventional beginnings but it's certainly the type of relationship I will seek for myself as an adult."
Fitzgerald Grant was somewhat taken aback with this little conversation he was having with his son in a corner in a White House ballroom. However, he wasn't surprised that his son spoke with such wisdom at such a young age. Jerry and Karen had come through the turmoil of a broken marriage with their souls and hearts intact. They were surprisingly okay. Sure, they had some counseling, in fact they were still seeing a child Psychologist. He was glad Olivia suggested it years ago, because he believed it was what saved them from becoming the usual problematic child statistics from a failed marriage. They had survived his and Mellie's disaster of a marriage and seemed better for it.
"I'm glad to know you consider us an example of what a good relationship should be. For sure we haven't gotten where we are without obstacles. Not everything was done right. No doubt, Olivia and I we are exceptions to every rule! We had to fight very hard. In fact, it was very hard but I would do it all over again because the right person is fundamental for the right relationship! Truth is Jer, if you wait for the right person all will more than likely fall into place. Your mother wasn't the right person and I knew it but I jumped in anyway. Waiting for the right person I believe is the answer to a good and lasting relationship. And that woman walking towards is the right person."
"What are you two doing holed up in this corner looking so serious. There's a party going on. Karen is getting ready to announce our dance Fitz. Are you ready Mr. President?"
"Of course, I'm ready. You have an eager pupil here Madame First Lady. You and Karen have been bringing the house down. You look good out there."
"Thank-you Mr. President."
"People can I please have your attention? My brother and I would like to thank everyone for coming out to share this night with us. We are so proud of our father. He has been a great President from our perspective and he now has four more years to do more inspiring things for the country. This Kid's Ball is very special to us. It's our first. So far it has been great fun. Our parents have mingled and partied with us but they have to move on to the adult stuff. However, they get to dance their very first dance here with us. The theme for all of the Balls tonight is "Celebrating Love." Love of country and love itself will bring us all together! My brother and I chose this particular song for the President and First Lady because of their unique love story. I hope they enjoy it. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the President of the United States and his beautiful First Lady. Dad and Olivia please enjoy your first dance of the evening."
The overture of the song began to play as the couple walked to the area of the ballroom that bore the Presidential seal. Olivia sent a bright smile to Karen. It was a beautiful song and it was so right for them. The President and the First Lady began to dance to the beautiful strands and tune of the song. He held her close and moved slowly and sensually just the way she had taught him. He wasn't too close, as close as they would've been if they were alone but they were close. His warm breath was at her ear.
"They are right you know. It's a perfect song for us. "All my life" I was waiting for you. You do know that don't you Olivia?"
"I do know that with all of my heart. We were meant to be. No matter what happened in between, all my life I was waiting for you too. I love this song. How in the world did they know?"
"Tonight Livvie, is a celebration of my re-election but it's also about us getting to this place. I'm here in this White House finally with the right woman by my side. I'm here with you dancing, where I wanted to be four years ago. This is a special night for us. We are going to dance to music that inspires us, that is attune to us, and celebrates the love we share. They know because I've done my research Olivia. Yes, I have called your friends. Abby and Neesha have been very helpful as well as your playlist with tonight's dance itinerary. Every dance we share tonight is about us. Remember that as we dance ourselves right back here to the White House!"
"I love it Fitz, I love you." Olivia didn't know if it had ever been done before at an Inaugural Ball but the President's wife lay her head on his chest and let the music carry her away. The song was old and sentimental. She had loved it then and she loved it now. On the stage live and in person were two of her favorite singers. The had risen to the top of their business and they had fallen to the bottom. Having made a recovery from their addictions they were singing again. "All my Life" was a beautiful love song and no one could sing it like K-Ci & and JoJo!
At the end of the song the Grants bid their children and their guests farewell. There were four other balls on their list. They were going to make every one of them. And Fitzgerald Grant intended to the break the rules and dance to every last song until the last note. He wanted Olivia to enjoy this night. She said she had been envious and jealous of Mellie four years ago. She shouldn't have been. Every second he was away from her that night, he was wishing and hoping for her company. He had wanted to dance those dances with her.
Four years ago, he and Mellie had spoken to the crowd, danced to a few bars of a song, and then they smiled, waved good-bye and left. Tonight, would be different. Tonight, he had the right woman at his side and he was happy. His life with Mellie Grant was over. He closed his eyes briefly and that night four year ago flashed through his mind. Finally, they had left the last Ball. Mellie was miserable and evil because she knew he didn't want to be there, with her. He couldn't help himself; he didn't want to be there. As they were leaving the last ball, she turned her venom on him.
"Couldn't you just for tonight play nice? Without me you wouldn't have ever won the Presidency and you know it! I groomed you and spoon fed you what you needed know to become Governor. I was for all intent and purposes the Governor of the great state of California! I was the one that talked you into running for the presidency. I sacrificed my entire life for you. I gave you children to plaster on your posters. I've done more than even you know. And you can't even squire me around to these Inaugural Balls and pretend to be happy? You really should be more grateful Fitz. You should be treating me like a queen right now instead of rushing from each ball like the fires of hell are after you. Someone is bound to wonder about your indifference. What is wrong with you?"
"Mellie, I'm sorry. You're right you have done a lot to help me get to where I am and I'm grateful. You know I'm not much of a dancer and I personally don't like this type of thing. I'm sorry if I can't perform like a trained seal at these events. Also, I'm not into this "pretend" life you want to live. I should be in my office preparing for tomorrow. I start a new job tomorrow and I simply want to be prepared. I want to be prepared to meet my office staff in the morning. I also have some things I need to talk with Cyrus about. I have work that needs to be done tonight. I simply want to be ready. I suggest that you don't wait up.
Mellie reached over and took Fitz' hand into her own. Her touch repulsed him, it had for years. That and the fact that he had promised himself never to touch her again was why he now turned to look at her. Why was she touching him? She had that look. She wanted something!
"Fitz, I know things aren't as they should be between us. We have been living like brother and sister for years now. I know you aren't a homosexual, you're a red-bloodied man that thankfully can control your animal instincts. It's an admirable trait Fitz, but tonight is a special night and I would be willing to allow you access to my body to celebrate. Whatever you want, for this special tonight. This could be a new beginning for us. We could resume our old arrangement of perhaps a monthly conjugal visitation and special occasion sex such as tonight. Would you like that?" She moved her other hand to his crotch.
He looked down to where she held his hand and to where her other hand lay. He was unmoved by both of her actions. He was incredulous that the woman thought that after all these years he was perverse enough to take her up on her offer of gratuitous sexual favors! What kept him from laughing out loud in her face was the fact that he had found love in the strangest of places, on the campaign trail. Right now, in his heart he had known that back at the White House a woman was waiting for him. A woman that he loved and a woman that loved him back. Yet here he was listening to Mellie and enduring her machinations! He needed to remain calm and collected and not cause a ruckus over this latest foolish Mellie mess. Did she really think he would go there again?
"Mellie, please don't let the excitement of this Presidential win and swearing in ceremony go to your head. We have an arrangement. An arrangement that you orchestrated. An arrangement that we have been in for years. You have been perfectly fine with it and I have learned to be also. You chose an asexual path in our marriage. I prefer to keep it that way."
"Are you saying you no longer have the urge to rut between the legs of a woman? I know you were an unusual sort but most men want to fornicate at some point. It's the way of men."
"Mellie your actions all those years ago did damper my libido but it isn't dead. I just don't have the urge to lie between YOUR legs! You were never a willing or eager partner and you chose to kill our sexual relationship. You wanted it over and now it is. I might add also that what you consider as the "way of men" isn't the way of this man. I don't want nor will I accept sex as a favor from you or anyone."
"Fitz don't get all huffy and puffy. I was simply trying to please you." Her hand that had been still to this point started to stroke his crotch. The woman didn't get it. He detested her and didn't desire her in any form or fashion. They were done! "What wrong Fitz you can't even get it up anymore?"
He pulled her hand from his pants. "Mellie, you know how I feel about sex. Sex is an expression of love and devotion between two people. It should mean something. I don't love you and you don't love me. I don't participate in farce and nor should you. You live in a world of pretend, so let's pretend that this little conversation didn't happen and get on with our lives."
"Hey, it's your loss." She turned her back to him and started looking out the window. He did the same for the rest of the ride to the White House.
They arrived and the doors were opened for them. Once they entered the White House, they entered the elevator. Tom and other agents entered behind them. "To the Residence Sir?"
"To the Oval for me Tom and the Residence for Mrs. Grant." What a difference four years could make. He and Mellie were divorced, he and Olivia were married with children. Life was good. What happened four years ago was a memory. What would happen tonight between he and Olivia, his wife was ordained and blessed. He was grateful. He needed to squash those old memories and move on to making new ones! His mind returned to the present.
He and Olivia were walking hand in hand to the car surrounded by Secret Service agents. They were as happy as happy could be. Occasionally one would look at the other and smile. They both were of a similar thought. Nothing or no one could come between them now. They both spoke the others' name at the same time.
"Fitz." "Olivia." They had just sat down in the limo and started the drive to the next Ball.
"Ladies first. Is everything alright?"
"Of course, everything is alright. That song I loved it so much when I was younger. I could've stayed in your arms and danced to it all night! I know we were only supposed to dance for a minute or two but it felt so right in your arms dancing to that song…"
"Olivia we are breaking trends tonight. We are dancing to the very end of each song. I promised you a party and a celebration. You are going to have it tonight. I won the Presidency but the win is for us. We went through the storm and the fire. We are still standing and that is a cause for celebration."
"Oh Fitz, another night of dancing. This will be right up there with my marvelous birthday party. I love dancing. This is going to be so special."
"It is special Olivia. It's a special night for us to dance to beautiful loving music. You look as regal as a queen right now. I can't imagine you changing into anything more beautiful than you are in right now. What is your next outfit? I can hardly wait to see it."
"You will see. My stylist has assured me that he is a quick-change artist. I could tell you but it's a surprise. All of my outfits for tonight are. Each design, each style is just for you my love. I want to look beautiful for you Fitz, only you. I want you to be proud of me. And of course, by the end of the night I want you really liking what you see. I intend to have my way with you tonight Mr. President. All this dancing and enticement comes with a price."
"Every day of my life I'm proud of you Olivia. You are the best part of me. That price you speak of it's a price I'm more than willing to pay Mrs. Grant. As enjoyable as I know this night is going to be, I can't wait for it to end."
They arrived at the Harbor. The air was crisp and cold. The lovers feeling the heat from the kisses they had shared during the ride hardly even noticed the weather. As usual, the lovers were only attuned to each other. They entered the National Museum of American History. The "Spirit of America Ball, A Little Bit Country and a Little Bit Rock and Roll" was being held here. The headliners were Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. They had been rocking the place all night.
Olivia was met at the door and taken away for her transformation. In less than ten minutes Olivia returned to join her husband and their security detail. Olivia was attired in what at first look appeared to be a dress but it was more. It was a black ensemble with short sequined sleeves, a black form fitting bodice from which a long dress emerged on the sides and hung long in the back. What made the outfit was Olivia strutting in silver sequined pants and silver shoes. It was an amazing contrast. She looked stunning. Her hair had been swooped up with side tendrils accenting simple diamond studs. The relatively new Hispanic designer Desidero had outdone himself. The pants were form fitting and stopped above the ankles. Olivia looked sensational.
"Dammit girl, you look good enough to eat." The President bent to whisper into his wife's ear. "And I do mean that literally. You look wonderful Livvie."
"Thank-you Mr. President. Shall we go to the Ball?"
"Let's.
They were introduced to the rambunctious crowd by Blake Shelton to a great deal of oohs and aahs. The musical cords for the duet "Nobody But You" started to play and Blake and his lady started to sing for the President and his.
Fitz and Olivia were looking at each other during the entire rendition. It was another beautiful song that exemplified the theme of the night. "Love" was in the air. They were still dancing after the last bar was played. Olivia had her head on Fitz' shoulder as he held her close. Only when the crowd started to giggle did the couple part. Head over heels in love the couple turned to face the admiring crowd and wave their good-byes.
They decided to fore-go the kissing and heaving petting between the next stop. Fitz had to take a minute to readjust himself before they entered the "Spirit of America" Ball. He has been thoroughly riled up. In between this trip they decided to call the nursery and check on the twins. Olivia called Nanny Central and Fitz called Cook to see if the Kid's Ball had wrapped. Everything was fine on both fronts. They were now off to the National Air and Space Museum for the "Military Services Ball." Again, they were met at the door by the quick-change team. Olivia was taken to some unknown location to be transformed again.
She emerged and everyone was doing a double take. Her hair was back down with beautiful bouncy curls surrounding her perfectly made-up face. Her lips matched her red sleeveless dress. Diamond jewelry was the accent. Diamonds graced her ears, wrists, and neck. The dress was hardly simple. A ruffled split was just about thigh-high exposing a well-toned thigh and a flawless leg extended into a gorgeous pair of six-inch heels that were embedded with diamonds. This was another extraordinary reveal.
"Oh my god Olivia, you look positively divine. Where in the world did you find that dress? It had to have been made just for you."
"It's an Itenia Wong and it wasn't made for me Fitz. It was made for you, just for you. I knew you would love it. Unfortunately, it won't be you that gets to take me out of it. I promise you though, another time, another day, that you will get the honors! This is so much fun. I don't want it to end. Dancing with you has been so loving and sensual. Aren't you glad you took those lessons?"
"I'm more than glad Olivia, I can assure you. I know the true reason dance was created. You taught me that and again I'm grateful. Shall we see what is in store for us here?"
Brandy was the headliner for this Ball and she was turning the place out. When they arrived, she announced them to the zealous crowd. The place was filled with every branch of the military. Every rank from private to general had been having a wonderful time. Brandy thanked the President, First Lady, and inaugural committee for the invite. From there she went into her hit song, "Have you ever?" Brandy and her long-standing musical career were sometimes overlooked. She was an amazing vocalist.
Fitz held Olivia close for the entire four minute and ten second rendition of the song. Neither one of them had ever loved the way they loved each other. This song was their song as well. The song ended and they turned and thanked the crowd. Only two more Balls to go.
These were their last in-person events. It was also their two-for-one event of the evening. All other events had requested and received a pre-recorded message from the President. It had been sent out and would be shown to those in attendance. The President usually choses which events he wishes to attend. Fitz had decided to stick with attending five events. Olivia had agreed that four aside from the kid's ball was enough. They were approaching their last events and it was approaching two o'clock in the morning. Time was consumed in reaching each venue. The couple hadn't any complaints thus far. Everything was moving like clockwork. It was going to be a long night and they knew it.
They arrived at the Kennedy Center ready to complete their party list. Fitz had a scotch on the rocks and Olivia had a refreshing glass of carbonated grape juice on the ride to the venue. They were stopping at two balls here. The last two events were "The Big Tent Extravaganza" and the "For The People" Ball. From here they would head home and put the finishing touches on their evening. Neither the President or his wife were the least bit tired. On the contrary they were both energized.
This was Olivia's last change of the evening. She had started with Stella and she was ending the evening with her. Olivia had chosen off-white for her last gown. It was a formfitting gown with long sleeves that was deceiving at first glance. It was the back that wowed any and every one that saw it. It was backless right down to her waistline. Then the dressed cupped that famous derriere and then flowed into a jewel-encrusted train sweeping the floor. The long-sleeves were cuffed and the cuffs were covered in pearls. Pearls also lined the back. The dress gave the appearance of simplicity when in fact it was anything but!
When Olivia walked toward her husband, she could see that he was thinking the dress was plain. She smiled at him and swirled around holding the beautiful train. Her hair was swept to one side in an abundance of beautiful curls. Her lips were dipped in his favorite color. Her smiled ended with her running her tongue gently over her lips.
Fitz walked up to his wife and took a hand and brought it to his lips. Next, he pulled her close and whispered for her ears only, "I would've said that it couldn't get any better than this but I know it does. I know that this is your last change of the evening and I and I alone will get to peel it off of you. I also know that what lies beneath this dress is only for me."
"That's correct Mr. President, for your eyes only. Shall we go dancing?"
"The Big Tent Extravaganza had sent out tickets to a variety of people. There was an abundance of all ethnicities of Americans present, thus the big tent. Lady Gaga was rocking the house. She had inferred that she had invited a special guest. The crowd was hoping it was Bradley Cooper and it was. He was just finishing a tune when the President and the First Lady arrived. He introduced them to the crowd and called his partner in crime back to the stage. The crowd was going wild not just for the President, they suspected the duo would sing their duet "Shallow" and they did.
Olivia and Fitz loved the movie and they loved this song. He pulled Olivia into his arms and they danced as only lovers could. The crowd was enthralled by the music and the couple. It was a beautiful rendition that they extended just for the Presidential Couple. They thanked the duo and the crowd and they moved on to their very last public dance of the night.
The "We The People" Ball was the last ball and it was the hot ticket. Everyone was clamoring to go to this one. It was indeed filled with the who's who people of Washington, DC. and the nation! Everyone that was anyone was here. The last ball of the night was always the Presidential Couple's personal choice. They invited their favorite people and usually their favorite artist to headline it. They both were friends with Mr. Legend and his wife and he had the prime spot tonight. He had been wowing the audience for almost ninety minutes now. He had been tickling the ivory continuously. His famous side-kick had jointed him straight out of the box for a rendition of "Glory." After that it had been hit after hit from his famous repertoire!
John was clued in as to when the Presidential couple arrived. He introduced them to the admiring crowd. He made a point of saying that the President had asked him to sing this song for his wife. He went on to say what an honor it was to sing this song. The song existed because of a beautiful woman, his own wife. And now he was sharing it with the President. He and the orchestra gave a beautiful musical intro of the song and then he began to sing "All of Me."
Fitz had Olivia in his arms mouthing the words as John was singing the signature song. It was such a beautiful love song. It was almost as if it were written especially for them. Fitz told Olivia how much the song inspired him. In other words, the President wanted his wife to know how much he loved and cherished her. After tonight he wanted no doubt at all. "I love you Olivia, more than anything."
The night had been everything she had hoped for. The President's celebration of a second term had been an overwhelming success and she'd had the time of her life tonight. She was dancing in the arms of the man that loved her more than anything. He had told the entire world tonight how much he loved her and she loved him back.
"Ditto, Mr. President. I can't wait to show you how much."
The beautifully written song ended. The couple waved to the crowd. Olivia signaled a well-deserved thank-you to the singer and they took their leave. They ended the night of celebration as it had begun holding hands as they walked to their ride with eyes only for each other.
"This has been a wonderful night Fitz, thank-you for all the love songs and all those precious dances. I loved every minute of it. I can't think of anything you could do for an encore."
"I can Sweet Baby. I promise you I can."
The couple got in the car and her husband had music still playing. He had orchestrated with Tom to have the music of Joe Cocker playing on the ride home. He wanted his wife to know how much he loved her and how beautiful he thought she was. He wanted it cemented on her brain because that was all he wanted on her mind tonight. He felt that Cocker's rendition of this particular song said it all!
It was a short ride from the Kennedy Center to the White House. The couple had ditched the premise of no kissing or heavy petting. It was on! They were headed home and they intended a night of pure delight. They were both hot and sexually engaged. The kisses were drugging. Hands were roaming wherever they could touch the flesh of the other. Fitz somehow got his hand on a breast and a nipple and was massaging and tweaking it. Olivia had unbuttoned a vest and a shirt to somehow run her finger over the fine hairs on his chest. She too had found a nipple to massage and tweak. In the meantime, their kisses had literally turned into a suck fest. Only when they heard Tom say "five minutes" out sir, did they reign their lust in in.
They ended the kiss forehead to forehead and with extreme heavy breathing. "You don't know how much I've missed you these last few days Fitz. I need you!"
"I know it couldn't be nearly as much as I have missed you. I can't wait to be inside of you."
The ride in the elevator to the Residence was an exercise in restraint! The President was on the back wall with Olivia in front of him. He had nestled her atop of his rock-hard erection and was whispering in her ear what he was going to do to her. He was making her wet. Olivia wondered to herself, "Was this elevator always this fucking slow?" She wanted to be at home right now! Finally, the elevator stopped. They still had to walk to the Residence. She wondered how her husband would hide the evidence of his desire for the walk back. Her husband had pulled off his jacket and held it discreetly in front of him. They both started walking at literally at a running pace designed to get them quickly to the Residence. Once there, they make their good-nights to the agents and walked into their home. Fitz closed the door and locked it.
Wasting no time at all the President picked up his wife couture dress and all and carried her into the master suite. He deposited her near the bed. He pulled her in for a kiss. He also pulled her close and placed her right where he needed her to be. He pressed himself against her setting a rhythm. Olivia molded herself to him and started a motion of her own.
"Tell me what to do to get you out of this dress. I would leave it on you but I don't think that's wise. All of that fine material, diamonds, sequins, and pearls could be damaged. I know you own the dress but it's much too pretty to ruin. I want you out of it, Olivia."
"A hook and a zipper at the waist and it will fall."
"Turn around then." He found a hook and a zipper and it fell. His wife was left standing there in some silken black panties and pearly white heels. "Damn you are beautiful, so beautiful to me." Come with me I have something to show you."
"Mr. President, I'm going to stop you right here. You have on too many damn clothes. Take off your clothes. Right this instant, take them off!"
He hurriedly undressed down to his silken black boxers with his wife watching. He walked over to the stereo equipment in the room. He found what he wanted. Luther Vandross, Olivia's favorite was onboard. He was going to play a compilation of Olivia's Luther favorites. He hit play. There was three solid hours of Luther on deck. There would be more dancing and from there everything was uphill. The track of songs started out with "Whether or Not the World Gets Better" and would keep pumping them out.
"Luther! We are going to start out with Luther tonight?"
"Yes, we are. Walk with me." He had taken her over to the far corner of the bedroom to something that was covered with a silky black sheet. He lifted it and threw the sheet to the floor.
"Fitz, you didn't have the resolute desk brought up here, did you? That's America's desk!"
"You are right. The one in my office is America's desk but not this one. I had a replica made just for us. We are going to create not replicate memories this morning and they are going to be some good ones. We are going to dance and then I'm going to put you on that desk and I'm going to get to do all the things I wanted to do that night four years ago. We were stealing precious moments back then. Tonight, no stealing we get to do things right. What do say Oliva?"
"Mr. President."
"I like the way you say that, say it again."
"Mr. President."
"Yeah, just like that sexy as hell."
"Mr. President are we really going to dance and do what we did four years ago on that desk."
"For starters yes we are. I spent the entire night dancing with the right woman this time. It was the best night. It all starts with one more dance Livvie and we get to play as much as we want. We have the night. We are wasting good music. Dance with me, make love with me, be mine tonight."
"I'm yours every night Fitzgerald Grant and don't you forget it. Let's dance."
The lovers danced to two more songs before the fire hit. "Always and Forever," "Here and Now" was playing when they started to kiss. They were already skin to skin except for some fine black silk. Those six-inch heels put Olivia right where she wanted to be and where her husband wanted her. He had his wife pulled close and dancing just as she had taught him. He suavely moved them over to the desk. He started to trail kisses down her body just as he had done four years ago only this time there wasn't a dress to impede his progress or keep him from starting at her breasts and trailing down to his real destination. Olivia threw her head back and braced herself. When he got to her panties, he very deftly removed them.
"You smell delightful Livvie. What in the world do you taste like tonight?"
"Find out for yourself Mr. President." He did and it drove his wife wild. In minutes she was in a full-blown frenzy and wobbly on her feet. "Fitz, I can't keep standing, I can't!"
"I know you can't because you want to come all over the President's face, don't you, Sweet Baby?"
"I do Mr. President. I do!"
The President lifted his wife onto the desk and brought her body right to the edge. The man opened a drawer and got out a pillow. He got on his knees and placed the legs of his wife on his shoulders and he went to work. It was his second term after all!
Thirty minutes ago, the coverage of the Inaugural Balls of the President of the United States had ended. One half of American was preparing for bed or already in it. It was however only midnight in Los Angeles and one American was trying to put the monster in her head to sleep. She had watched the late-night inaugural coverage knowing that her most notable alter ego would show up and have a hissy fit. The woman was a glutton for punishment. If she was going to get this upset over seeing her ex-husband fawn all over his wife why in the hell was she watching? This was part of her therapy. It had to be done! It hadn't bothered Mellie Rossman at all, the ex-Mrs. Grant on the other hand was going completely bananas. It was the same sob story. Olivia Pope is a yada, yada, yada! Fitzgerald Grant was a piece of yada, yada, yada! When she was free she was going to do yada, yada, yada! Truth was, she wasn't going to do shit. Intense therapy and medication would see to that. Mellie Grant was through interfering in the lives of others, especially that of her ex-husband. She was done!
Back at the White House the lovers were going strong. There wasn't a doubt in Fitz' or Olivia's minds that tonight would be a marathon night. They had been primed for it since their very first dance. Fitzgerald Grant was making love to his wife on their very own resolute desk. The President had been slow and deliberate as brought the heat between them to a frenzy. As he had been that very first night they had made love upon such a desk, he was purposeful with every motion. They both were frantic for that first release of the night but he was prolonging it. Olivia was needy and frenzied. She was begging him with her eyes. "Please, make me." Finally Fitz moved where and the way she wanted him to. It didn't take long, Olivia screamed out his name in ecstasy and her walls convulsed around him.
God, it felt so good but he wasn't ready yet so he disengaged and went back to his knees and between his wife's legs to bring her to further heights. Olivia barely had time to recover before another all-consuming orgasm struck her. She grabbed his head of glorious locks and held on; it was wonderful! Finally, he returned to her to stroke himself to his own climax while bringing his wife along. It was his first of the night but not Olivia as she exploded again. In an orgasmic haze she concluded that this resolute desk replica would be the death of her. Her husband in an orgasmic haze himself felt the exact same thing! They collapsed into each other's arms.
"Oh my, that was delightful! I could fuck you all night Olivia."
"It was more than delightful and I want you to."
Fitzgerald Grant picked up his wife and placed her on their bed. Without barely a recovery period they moved on. They lit the sheets ablaze. For more than an hour they explored each other's body bringing intense pleasure to them both. There were piercing screams and braying howls into the night from both participants. Later as Fitzgerald Grant lie awake watching his beautiful wife sleep, he thanked his lucky stars. Olivia had asked for a thirty minute "recess." She got it and they left the bed to play in the massive shower. Once there Olivia lit a fire in her husband with her unique oral skills. When Fitz cried uncle and begged to be inside her. Olivia walked to shower and placed her hands against the shower wall. She turned her head to face her husband while bracing herself for an onslaught of her senses. Her husband came up behind her and he didn't disappoint. Olivia had stopped counting orgasms after number four struck her. Finally, the couple exited the shower sated and exhausted. Tomorrow was the start of a new journey for the Grants. Tomorrow the President began a new era of leadership and his new marriage would continue to grow. The lovers lay curled in each other's arms. Sleep came quickly for both of them.
Four Years Later
It was the last few weeks of the Grant Presidency. Fitzgerald Thomas Grant III had a scandal-filled first four years and many thought he would never live them down but he had. He had been re-elected in what amounted to a landslide. He had come into his own during the last four years of an eight-year Presidency. There had been a few notable exclamation points during his first term but in the end, it hadn't taken him down! Fitzgerald Thomas Grant had become a great President in spite of his initial scandal-filled years. He had shaken things up having the first female Vice-Presidential running mate. When he had won, they made history. As a team he and Sally had done some remarkable things. Despite the scandals during his tenure he had persevered!
Now as his final term was ending, he was on top. He had conquered the hill. He had made an impact upon America that couldn't be erased. He had overwhelming numbers for his climate change initiatives. He had signed a sweeping anti-crime bill, and he had been helpful with middle-east peace talks, to the effect that an actual workable treaty had been signed. There had been peace for the last two years. His most sweeping accomplishment had been gun control legislation. Once again assault weapons had been banned. Sweeping changes had been made in the gun industry. Of course, his own party and the extreme Right were up in arms as they cried their Second Amendment rights were being eroded. Nothing was further from the truth! Weapons of war were taken out of the hands of everyday people and put in the hands of the military where they belonged! There were now solid laws in place to keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill and known criminals. Limitations were put on the number of weapons Americans could have. You could still protect your family. It was a fundamental right. It was simply legislated that you didn't need hundreds of guns to do so. It was a history making bill!
He had made history for other reasons as well. It was never established as fact that he started that little war to thwart Olivia's kidnappers but it was still whispered about. He had an affair while President and he had eventually divorced his wife and married his "mistress." That and that alone had been the talk of the town, city, state, and country. It had been the talk of the planet for months. As it percolated on the hill the haters and soothsayers had said he was done. He had proven them wrong yet again. He was still standing and he was still President until tomorrow.
He was leaving behind a legacy and it was formidable one. Sally Langston had won the Presidency. She was America's first women President! He was hoping that within her own agenda she would follow through with some of his pet projects. They had been good for the country so perhaps she would. He had endorsed her and campaigned for her. She had proven to be an excellent candidate with fine credentials but to say she was helped by his immense popularity would be an understatement. As his tenure as President expired, he had some of the highest ratings of any modern-day president. He was a well-liked President. The American people seemed to genuinely love him and his family. His second wife, Olivia Pope-Grant had proved to be one of the most effectual First Ladies in American history. She was admired and loved by almost everyone over these last four years. His children had been scandal-free during his tenure. Shades of John F. Kennedy, a President that meticulously ran the country while his toddler children played at his feet in the Oval Office was pure political gold!
Jerry was in his second year at Harvard. He was leaning toward the law as his future goal but he still wasn't sure. Karen was completing high school and asking for a gap year. She had the grades to enter into the university of her choice but she simply wanted a break. Olivia was on her side so it appeared she would "find" herself for a year and then head into her true calling. After being the best First Lady, she could possibly be for almost two years Olivia had become pregnant again. She had also carried twins again. This time it was identical twin boys! The prophecy she had seen was true. She had seen her sons in her future thinking she had two more pregnancies when in fact there was only one. She nor Fitz could believe it when they saw the ultrasound. They had made twins again. Identical ones again! They were so blessed and Olivia carried them well. She carried them for thirty-seven weeks and she again was able to have a normal delivery.
Jordan Nicholas Pope-Grant and Jayden Nathaniel Pope-Grant were certified hell-raisers. Called Nicky and Natty by their family the two boys were incorrigible. Their father seemed to revel in their misdeeds and outrageous behavior. His office door was always open to his family and especially the two little tykes. The resolute desk was one of their favorite play stations. It was filled with their toys. Fitz had declared long ago that all of his children would always know the devoted love of a mother and a father.
The twin were now two-year old toddlers. Olivia was still a remarkable First Lady but she had spent the last two years more exclusively as mother to their children. She had two toddlers and two almost five-year olds. Olivia never went back to Olivia Pope and Associates. She didn't have the desire to go back. She had found her true calling as spouse and helpmate to her husband. She stood beside him in every endeavor and accomplishment. Fitzgerald Grant made sure that the world knew he was the man and President he was today because of his wife. It was evident to the world how much Fitzgerald Grant loved his wife and she loved him back. They had fallen in love over ten years ago and they were still like newlyweds. They still burned for one another! After the twins were born they had decided that their family was complete so now sex was purely for their enjoyment of each other.
At almost fifty-seven Fitz was as robust in bed as ever. Olivia still gloried in the incomparable skills of her husband as a lover. She still craved him with a passion and Fitzgerald Grant still loved his wife to distraction and proved to her night after night how much he loved her.
When the Grants made their final farewell to the nation as they exited the White House headed to Marine One, the world was watching. It had been a remarkable saga. In fact, it was one for the ages. It was scandalous and at times beyond the pale but mostly it was one thing. It was a love story from beginning to end. Two lovers separated by a generation had somehow found each other in a morass of intrigue, love, lust, and murder. Two lovers parted by outside forces were reunited and they went on to be part of a lasting and committed relationship. As both the President and his wife often liked to say; they became bonded for life because someone decide to attempt to kill a President!
