Chapter 85

Rebekah refused to go to bed, lounging in her Animagus form with Enyo between her paws and a snoring Emperor on her back. She laid in the main living room with a yawning Moody and Aunt Petunia reading a Magical cookbook for entertainment as they all waited for Tonks to get back with Vernon Dursley.

The rest of the house had already gone to bed a couple of hours ago. Those three were still awake and sat before the fireplace to keep warm. Moody and Petunia had tried to get Rebekah to go to sleep. Her friends were already upstairs and all fast asleep but Rebekah couldn't sleep when she knew part of her family was unaccounted for.

She had already sent a letter to Dudley and made sure he was fine. He replied not long after and she was sure he was fine.

Now they just waited for Tonks to arrive with Vernon before Rebekah would go to bed.

They all perked up when they heard a crash in the hallway.

Rebekah stood from the floor, Emperor somehow staying on her back as Enyo clung to her neck. The two adults also stood, Moody just shaking his head as he already knew that they were back by the several missteps made by the clumsy Witch.

"In here, Nymphadora," Moody called, snickering as the Witch came in with bright red hair and a glare.

"Don't call me Nymphadora," Tonks said before her hair went back to the purple she prefered. "I've got Dursley with me."

Rebekah gave Emperor a quick glance, letting the Familiar know what to do before he jumped off of her and went to drag Vernon into the room.

The Potter With just walked up to him, circling him a couple times before getting a pat on the head. She left to go upstairs after she made sure that he was also alright.

Most of the house was hiding away from the kitchen. They steered clear because of the two arguing women while their husbands just sat at the table and talked about Muggle things.

Surprisingly, Arthur Weasley and Vernon Dursley got on quite well.

It was not the same case for their wives.

Arthur Weasley was released a couple days after Christmas. He still needed cleaned bandages every single day, but he was well enough to be released into the care of his family.

"They're arguing," Tonks said, trying to keep herself from falling asleep at noon in the living room. "Again."

"You get used to it," Ginny said, sitting on the floor with Pig next to her and a book in hand.

Pansy narrowed her eyes at Fidele wrapped around Rebekah's throat and had his head on top of hers. "He's looking at me."

Rebekah turned the page of her book, reading on about an obscure law that allowed Healers to use the Killing Curse. "You keep staring at him."

"He's looking at me funny." She retorted.

"And you keep glaring at him."

Pansy wrinkled her nose. "I don't like animals."

"We know." The Crown echoed and Pansy scoffed but smiled nonetheless.

"Food's ready!"

They all scrambled to get to the table and eat as quickly as possible before the argueing could start between the two women.

Petunia placed a plate in front of Rebekah as everyone else went for the BLTs in the large pile of sandwiches in several smaller sections of the table. Tonks grabbed two and left straight away, saying something about having something else to do at the moment.

Rebekah nodded her thanks and dug into her lettuce and tomato sandwich. It was good with some sauce and a little bit of salty cheese. It was fresh and crunchy, filling her quite well as everyone else ate away at the BLTs.

"How do planes stay up in the air?" Arthur Weasley asked. "I have always been fascinated by the fact that Muggles found a way to fly without the assistance of Magic."

Vernon smiled, before his smile faltered as he thought. "I don't actually know how. Rebekah?"

"I don't know." Rebekah paused her eating, humming. "I suppose the air is forced under the wings as the plane goes forward, the drag is the force that wants to keep the plane on the ground but the plane is made so there is minimal drag. I'd have to relook at Dudley's physics book."

"Oh, Cub," Sirius said, placing a box in front of her with the most sly and mischievous expression she had ever seen on him. "I forgot to give you this."

She opened the box, finding a small bag inside of it and she opened that too.

Instantly, she sneezed before chucking the bag at Emperor.

"CATNIP!" She half screamed, continuing to sneeze a couple more times as she went pink in the face. "If you had put that in my food, I would have put dog food in yours."

She sneezed once more.

Sirius put his hand in her hair, messing it up as they laughed. "That's what you get for giving me a bone for Christmas."

"Yeah?" Rebekah stood from the bench, watching as he stepped back cautiously. "You've got three seconds to run before I come after you, Padfoot."

"I don't need three seconds."

"Two."

He leaped over the kitchen table, shifting halfway through his jump before landing on his paws and sprinting up the stairs to the main floor.

"Under the table, Rebekah!" Petunia quickly yelled, watching as Rebekah also shifted before running after her GodFather. "And watch the corners!"

Fred, George, and Ginny leapt from the table too, leaving Ron to steal a couple more sandwiches.

"Come on," Ginny yelled, waving for the Crown to follow. "You haven't seen the fights they have!"

"They fight?" Vernon asked, his fat eyebrows furrowing together before shrugging. "It can't be any different than what she and Dudley do, can it, Petunia dear?"

"Besides they'll be running around the house in their animal forms, it's the same," Petunia said, putting a cup of coffee in front of her husband since he requested one. She received a kiss on the cheek before sitting down next to him.

Arthur nodded. "I just hope they don't take the fencing sabers out again. They ripped a couple of the curtains with them last time."

The yelps and growls were a normal occurrence in the Black house. Most of the portraits just egged them on, betting if Sirius would get to the top of the house and back down to the basement before Rebekah caught him. It happened too many times now, it was either she caught him or she didn't, or she was the one running.

They didn't get far up the stairs in their Animagus forms before Remus hauled both of them up by the scruffs and stopped them from running amok. He held them up, their back legs keeping most of their weight.

Remus was absurdly strong but it made sense with his Lycanthrope DNA.

"There's an Order meeting tonight," Remus said, shaking Rebekah as she tried to swat a paw at Sirius. "Stop that, Cub. Almost all of the Order will be here tonight, including Dumbledore. Cub, Dumbledore wants you and your friends there with us."

Because of the meeting, they actually had to get dressed. They weren't allowed to wear their Animagus onesies, no matter how much they wanted to. The Crown dressed in classier clothes, something they would wear out into Wizarding society rather than if they were lounging at home. Slacks, shirts, and skirts were what they went for, all dark in colour with their watches exposed.

It was strange to see so many people in one house. Grimmauld Place was big but it couldn't contain this many people for very long. A good two dozen extra people came into the house, most using the Floo.

The largest drawing room was converted into the meeting room. Chairs, couches and sofas were conjured up along with tables to be put next to them. All of the members got glasses of whatever drink they wanted, a huge table now sat empty because it used to hold all of the beverages but now they were within the hands of the members.

Rebekah didn't know there were so many members of the Order. She could count around thirty adults in the room, but almost all of them were in their forties or older. Most were from the First Wizarding War, and many didn't like the look of the young group of Slytherins in the room.

The Crown sat on a three seater sofa. Daphne, Astoria, Tracey and Pansy sat on the couch, easily fitting there as they didn't care how close they sat. Theo and Logan stood by the arms of the sofa, half leaning on them. The final three stood behind it, Draco on Rebekah's right while Blaise stood on her left. They all had Butterbeer as Petunia and Sirius had agreed to their request.

Dressed clean and smart, they didn't let any emotions show as a couple of adults gave them a weary look.

Molly had tried to argue that they shouldn't have been allowed in the meeting. Petunia just retorted with the fact that they were all turning sixteen soon enough, and if they were Muggle, they would be allowed to go into the Army. Molly just scoffed at the Army bit, commenting under her breath at the savage nature of Muggles. Petunia, being the better person, stayed quiet.

They couldn't argue about the fact that Rebekah was in the meeting. She had a right to be there, more so than Molly did.

To the Crown's left, Remus and Sirius sat on a loveseat.

The meeting started off easily with the Daily Prophet and a couple words from Kingsley.

The Order was working with the Ministry of Magic to help combat Death Eaters and the damage that Voldemort would ultimately cause or order to happen.

"So far, there hasn't been any confirmed attacks or damage caused by any Death Eater or Dark Witch or Wizard that could be linked to You-Know-Who," Kingsley said as Dumbledore stood to one side of him with Percy on the other. "The Ministry is keeping close eyes on any Families that were formerly associated with him or were known to be allies, including major Dark and Neutral Families."

A lot of heads turned to the Crown but they ignored them. Almost all of their families were part of that group and they knew it.

They were not their parents.

Dumbledore stepped forward, almost forcing everyone to look at him.

"A few days ago, on Christmas day, there was a burglary at the Dursley House, which was where Rebekah Potter and her friends were spending the Holidays," He said. "The people were minor Death Eaters, probably there on a mission to find out about or capture the family. None were harmed because there was an advanced notice of their arrival."

"How did they find out that they needed to leave?" A Witch asked, her grey eyebrows quirking up.

"A Patronus was sent into the house, and then everyone was evacuated from there." Moody said. "That signal had been set up for a while. If we saw it in the house, we knew to leave. The Dursleys are staying here until the holidays are over and then we'll have a twenty four hour watch on their house. Can't be too safe with His followers anymore."

There was even an Auror at the school Dudley was at. Rebekah was the only one to not have a twenty four hour watch. She would be at school most of the year and she spent most of her holidays at Grimmauld Place or Hogwarts.

The meetings weren't as interesting as they thought they would have been. It was just a lot of ideas being spewed around and struck down. There were mission updates, which were even more boring but somehow interesting at the same time.

There wasn't much actually happening behind the scenes, or it seemed like it because the Order was trying to keep stuff under wraps due to the nine young Slytherins in the room.

It was a lot more interesting after the meeting had officially finished. Several people stuck around for a couple more drinks, while a few went to speak to some of the Crown members. Blaise had a conversation about being a CurseBreaker with Bill while Theo spoke to Percy about being a Ministry worker.

The only thing that Rebekah found even a little interesting was the fact that the Crown was going back to school by Night Bus instead of the train, and even that wasn't very interesting.
