MY THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS
Okay, where do I begin? Maybe the beginning.
The idea for this story came one day while I was doing my hair and listening to music; there was a specific song playing, Coolio's Gangsta's paradise, and that is when the idea of Kai being a mobster popped into my head, and from there on I had to figure out how I want this story to be, who is going to play in it and how this story is going to end. I cannot start a story and have no ending in mind, I have to have a ending to work towards, the rest of the stuff in the middle can be placed later on.
In the beginning, Bryan was not part of the story, I had a completely different man in mind, an OC but the more I thought about it, the more I realised that Bryan fits the description perfectly of the man that I want for Ana, and I am actually glad that I had stuck with Bryan and not an OC.
Ana and Kai were never meant to be together for so many reasons. I absolutely adore Kai and he will always remain my favourite character on Beyblade, but I wanted him to be the worst of the worst, a real bad ass that has no mercy for anyone and that is absolutely power crazy, and also a bed hopping whore, and I just knew that he will not deserve happiness, only a glimpse of it.
I made Kai a man whore so that he can experience intimacy with Ana for the first time, to make their union a bit more special, and that is why I made him the way he was in regards to women.
I wanted everyone to hate Kai in the beginning of the story because I wanted to see how people will react after he dies after his character has gone through a change throughout the story, I wanted people to remember that they hated him in the beginning and wanted him dead and now that he is dead, are they satisfied about his death or not? My plan was to change the readers' opinion about Kai the further the story progressed and I can honestly say that some people's opinions have changed about Kai where they actually turned on Mya, which I am happy about.
There were so many foreshadowing in this story, I can't even remember all of them, but in chapter 1, there was one crucial one, the one that showed how Kai was going to die or at least what was going to lead to his demise, and it was about his grandmother dying of brain cancer.
Voltaire had also lost his wife to terminal brain cancer when their son was only a teenager
This was to show that cancer is in the family and this was the very first clue of what was to come, but no one would have guessed it.
There were also foreshadowing of Bryan and Ana finally ending up together, especially in chapter 56: "Remember how I always said that we had met for a reason?"
"Yeah?"
"Hold on to that, my love," this being all that she says before she gets in and closes the door and finally starts the engine of her pick-up truck.
This was the main one to show that these two will end up together again and stay together forever and finally start their lives together, and that is also why I made it my mission to portray Ana and Bryan as a stable and loving couple because of what the end would be, and again, I am happy with the results.
Kai and Mya's relationship may have been all loving, but it was both toxic and unstable and yes, they did love each other but it was not pure love, even though they may have believed it was. Mya did love Kai, but Kai loved her more and it was visible on more than one occasion. She was the first woman Kai loved and he truly loved her, but Kai will always be Kai, a heartless unstable mob boss and not even love could truly cure him from himself. Just look at how selfish he was, he preferred to break her heart instead of telling her the truth, this being the pride issue, but there is no place in a relationship for too much pride, and this was proof of it.
Kai was wrong in breaking up with Mya even if he wanted to save her hurt because at the end of the day, there is a difference in breaking someone's heart and mourning over the loss of a loved one, like we have seen with these two.
And now for the illuminati part; it may have seem absolutely ludicrous as there have always been various conspiracies about whether this group exists or not.
Do I believe they exist? Not a group with this name per say, but I do believe that there is a group of people that sit way at the top of the food chain that pulls the strings everywhere in this life, whether it is with the oil prices or other stuff, there are people that control us all over the world.
Everyone is forced into a certain direction everyday of their lives, and that all just to keep alive. Food prices go up but salaries don't? You are forced to cut back or loan money at the bank, which then renders you even more under these peoples' control.
Politicians are accused of corruption? Evidence disappears or some poor innocent guy has to take the fall. There are some powerful people in this world which no one can deny, and there are forces in this world that we cannot see but we feel their darkness and we witness their destruction all around us. Corruption has skyrocketed and more and more people are suffering financially and where will it leave us in the end? Either we die or we sell our souls completely to these powerful bastards, and that day is getting closer and closer, especially with how things have been going on in this world.
That is why I wanted to bring in the illuminati, to show that there are people out there who control almost everything in this world, who are the masters of manipulation and corruption.
I also thought that I would explain the meaning of each title chapter, or more like to what scene it refers to in each chapter.

Chapter 21: THAT'S IT? – Mya leaving the mob after killing her first man after being forced by Kai
Chapter 22: THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COIN – Kai rescuing Mya and staying by her side after she got shot, which makes Mya see another side to Kai that she does not know
Chapter 23: AN UNPLEASANT REVELATION WITH SOME PLEASANT CONSEQUENCES – Mya learns about Bryan and Ming-Ming; her and Kai starts to act more civil with each other
Chapter 24: PROBLEM ONE: SOLVED, BY TAKING OUT THE TRASH – The killing of Brooklyn after he betrayed Kai
Chapter 25: PROBLEM TWO: SOLVED, BY KEEPING A PROMISE – At Kai's 30th birthday party, Ray promised Valeria that as soon as Kai is finished with her, he will come for her, and that is exactly what he has done
Chapter 26: ACT TWO – Kai and Mya getting close once more after Kai had ruined it not too long ago
Chapter 27: EMBRACING THE DARKNESS – Mya stepping fully into her mob persona by torturing and killing the rebels
Chapter 28: MY FURRY FREINDS – The animal sanctuary Kai loves to visit, showing Mya that he has a love for animals just like she has
Chapter 29: BONDING – Kai and Mya bonding over the death of her family dog
Chapter 30: SHOWDOWN – The fight between Kai and Mya

Chapter 36: CROSSIGN THE WRONG LINE – Mya thinking that she can cheat on Kai without being found out of not thinking of the consequences, and he punishing her for her being unfaithful to him

Chapter 39: SHOCK TO THE SYSTEM – Kai finding out about his health, and Kai breaking up with Mya
Chapter 40: FINAL SHOWDOWN – The last fight between Kai and Boris where only one will walk away alive
Chapter 41: HEALING – Kai and Mya's physical as well as emotional and mental wounds healing and the two finding each other once more after they have healed from the emotional trauma
Chapter 42: GOOD BYE, ANA – Kai greeting the love of his life and this world
Well then, that is about all that I have wanted to say about this story. I still cannot believe that it took almost four years to complete this story but I enjoyed the journey, but yes, I am glad that I finally completed it.
Thank you to every reviewer, every reader and each and every one of you who supported me in this journey. This will be a part of my life that I will always remember and cherish and you all are a part of it.
I had enjoyed every review and I always smiled when I read about how someone thinks about their own scenario of what might happen, or when someone gives their honest opinion about one of the characters, and that is what I will also cherish deeply within my heart.
Thank you all for being a part of this, for being a part of this little world that I had created for myself within this fandom, I will never forget it.
I may be leaving the fandom, but my account will always be there, unless someone else deletes it, but I myself will never do that.
