A/N: since I think that I was grasping at straws on Game of Life, I decided to document the supposed events that can support this pairing.
Chapter 7: The Acknowledgement [Part 14]
The real fight between Ichigo and the former substitute shinigami, Ginjo Kugo, began after Rukia confidently stab Ichigo, infusing him with all the shinigami powers pooled on the sword Kisuke made.
Giving Ichigo the power more times powerful than what has been stolen from him by the Xcution.
As the team ordered to supervise the battle, were engaged as well, in their individual battles.
Rukia vs Riruka
Byakuya vs Tsukishima
Renji vs Jacky Tristan
And the other members of the shinigami and Xcution.

As the fight between Tsukishima and Byakuya progresses.
The former, claimed to be the person who taught the later how to take control of his zanpakuto, at the time when it rebelled against him, during his training at the 72nd district for his mission.
That day when he met Rukia.
Tsukishima, made Byakuya thought of him as his mentor. Basically making him believe that the reason he had regained his mastery over Senbonzakura was because of him.
And not because of his love for Rukia.
The one who taught him how to respect people, even if they were just a trash.
Through learning the value of respect, he learned to acknowledge that his zanpakuto wasn't merely his slave.
But an equal.
Just like the fact that Rukia was a commoner, and he is a nobility.
They were equal.
That is what he learned at their first meeting.
His meeting with Rukia... That now, he has forgotten.
