Silbern Tower
***Few hours later***
Sabrina had just gotten home from kindergarden, and as usual she went up whilst holding her teddy quite close to her chest, usually using the elevators reserved for the royal family that went from top to bottom, it possessed a seal so it wouldn't activate to anyone who wasn't a member of the royal family, usually it read the royal access seal, a seal the entire royal family possessed to get access to wherever they might need to go, Sabrina wasn't an exception.
She had more access then she really knew, as she, despite being only 4 years old, had access going so far as top secret information in the vaults, though no one had told her that, and it wasn't as if she could read either, but she had been told one thing and told very sternly by her own family that if anything she might have heard being talked about, was not to be mentioned to anyone, and as Sabrina was very obedient and the fact that the seriousness was stressed to her, this resulted in Sabrina rarely speaking about her family, as she did possess the name of Stratburg and was of the Basterbine branch of the family.
Though Ichigo was part of her family, they weren't related by blood but he was her brother in law and the Basterbines were merged into the Stratburg family as a branch of the family, but she did see him as a genuine brotherly figure due to how he was always nice to her and how he treated her and how he always did listen to her and see her when she decided to speak or make body gestures, furthermore he did give her an immense feeling of safety aswell, making her feel very safe and secure around him, aswell as Bambietta, that was mostly caused by Ansbach as he was the one who carried her to Silbern to begin with, resulting in her not really being shy around him when she first met him as she didn't sense any danger or ill intent from him whatsoever at the time, why else would he have helped her?
As she entered and began moving around the hallways of the palace, encountering servants and guards alike doing their business, the servants mostly greeting Sabrina in a courteous manner befitting her title as a princess before continuing with their jobs, mostly bowing to her, the royal guard mostly stood firmly in their usual manner, though royal guardsmen that patrolled the palace had much more freedom to move so they usually saluted her, both servants and guards were always ready in case Sabrina should call on them for either something she needs or a call to arms should she feel threatened or be in danger, though it was unlikely that she would ever be in danger or feel threatened in the palace as it was, despite a few mishaps, actually the most guarded and secure place in the entire empire, if she ever feels threatened or is in danger, then the odds are that a servant has done something.
But the servants that currently worked with the royal family had been checked after that incident with that one servant, and whilst they were usually watched closer as a result, they were known to be extremly loyal to the crown and didn't have any intent on harming it, not that they would manage without fighting their way through about 50.000 captain level royal guardsmen.
As she moved through the hallways she eventually entered the hallway where the door to Ichigo's office was, and as she was an exception along with the rest of the royal family, she had no need to knock on his door or give any sign that she was there as she was always welcome to Ichigo's office and Ichigo never did turn her or any other member of his family away, Sabrina already knew that Ichigo was back as she had been informed when she arrived after asking about Bambietta and Ichigo.
When she entered she noticed that Ichigo was looking at some papers, before stamping and signing them, regardless she approached Ichigo by moving to the side of his chair.
"Did you have fun at kindergarden?" Ichigo asked as he put away the paper and looked at Sabrina.
Sabrina nodded happily, so it was fairly obvious that she did have a great time at kindergarden, she made signs that she wanted up, so Ichigo lifted her up and let her sit on his right lap as Ichigo began to focus back on the papers, though Ichigo did multitask, as Sabrina started to speak, she began to tell Ichigo about how her day was, usually Bambietta was the first one she told but she wasn't in Silbern at the moment for obvious reasons.
Ichigo did listen closely to what Sabrina had to say despite focusing on the documents, he knew it all to well the troubles Sabrina had in the beginning but it appeared that things are going a lot more smoothly at this point.
Ichigo had no reason to doubt that the parents were responsible for the children in kindergarden were the ones who made their children weary of her, it was doubtful that they actually meant any harm by it, but the Wandenreich had a system of absolute monarchy, and just randomly approaching a royal was unheard of in such a system.
That was due to the class that came with the aristocracy, a belief that was further amplified by the reinstatement of the aristocracy, even children of aristocrats were having problems according to reports given by Ichigo when he had Liltotto investigate the matter so it wasn't just Sabrina, but that didn't mean that she didn't get the tip of the sword, the higher standing you had in the aristocracy the more people were weary and afraid of doing wrong, and that was the actual issue, and this was rapidly passed down to the children.
Another factor at play might be that arrest that had ordered on those two parents and the girl that was taken by child protective services on the orders of the royal family and the chancellors during the opening of the kindergarden, that would definitely serve as a warning on many wrong ends, as not many really knew what happened, and the information wasn't exactly released to the public either as it was kept quiet out of respect for the child who had been sexually abused by her own parents.
But Ichigo was grateful for one person, and that was this Sebastian boy who had gotten a friendship with Sabrina and Alice, and he was a commoner, which said a lot as it served as a signal for others that Sabrina and Alice could be approached, and that it wasn't improper or dangerous to do so.
It was all to evident in terms of the hardships the aristocrats and royals got, people was just too afraid of doing wrong around them that it made them extremly nervous to the point of being scared and weary of them, which in itself was a sad truth, especially as the Wandenreich utilized a system where both higher classes and the lower classes could essentially marry without judgement as the Wandenreich has abolished arranged marriages and made them illegal.
Surprisingly for Ichigo though that law was far better received in the aristocracy then it was amongst the commoners, and the commoners were pretty content with that law, so it also did show a lot of problems and unhappiness even in the aristocracy before Ichigo took the crown, in terms of divorce rates, then the aristocracy was at the very top if you looked at the statistics.
"What's that?" Sabrina asked as she looked at all the papers after wrapping up her day.
"This? Just some letters I'm writing, nothing special." Ichigo responded, not really wanting to tell her.
A knock on the door was heard and Inoue entered, having been summoned by Ichigo earlier to do a certain errand for him.
"I have gotten in touch with some of my contacts in the mirror world and they've agreed to hand them out." Inoue said.
"Good, I'm just about finished." Ichigo replied as he signed the last one.
Inoue had gotten some contacts in the mirror world, primarily mutated fullbringers who she had been fairly nice to, it had been brought to Ichigo's attention that the mutated fullbringers, having no one to call their own except themselves and constantly facing danger, they developed an underground network to alert each other of fullbring raids on them, this way they could have some sense of security.
Inoue wasn't introduced to this underground network but she knew about it, and she knew some who was connected to it, she had during her time there, given a few of them phones to stay in contact with Inoue, something that was pre-planned, hence how she got in touch with them.
Sabrina noticed a certain line of words, she was unable to read yet so she didn't know what it said, Ichigo put the letters in envolopes before handing it over the Inoue, the last text that Sabrina was able to see on it, despite not being able to read, was ripe for the taking!
But what did that mean? Did Ichigo put some sort of plan in motion? Who was these letters to? What was Ichigo intending? It was very hard to say at this point and only time would tell, Ichigo handed the letters to Inoue and she would ensure that it was delievered to her contacts who would then deliever them further, as soon as Inoue left, Sabrina asked Ichigo something.
"Ichi-nii?" Sabrina said as she looked back at Ichigo.
"Hm?" Ichigo said as he looked at his computer screen.
"Is commanding warfare difficult?" Sabrina asked, causing Ichigo to look at her.
"Well... It isn't always easy and it requires a great deal of thinking considering that every situation that happens is entirely different and that the situation might change at a split second." Ichigo responded.
"So it is something that needs training and learning?" Sabrina asked curiously.
"Yes, that is why our officers go to officers academy to learn command and control, aswell as different tactics and strategies to approach the enemy with a better chance of defeating them." Ichigo replied as he looked at Sabrina.
"Oh." Sabrina replied as she looked at Ichigo's collar in a thinking manner.
"Something wrong?" Ichigo said as he noticed Sabrina's behavior pattern.
"Can you teach me how to command and do warfare?" Sabrina asked, surprising Ichigo to the scale where he almost became stunned at the request.
"You want to learn military command and warfare?" Ichigo asked surprised, the question caused Sabrina to nod three times.
"What brought that on?" Ichigo asked as he looked at Sabrina curiously.
"Nee-san does it, and I also want to learn." Sabrina said, worried that Ichigo might deny her.
"And what about your Quincy training?" Ichigo asked.
"I can do that too as I have a lot of free time after I finish." Sabrina stated confidently.
Ichigo thought about it intently, Yhwach had advised Ichigo to take the chance he was given here, as Sabrina might become one hell of a military commander if she is trained from the age of 4 until she comes of age to properly command military forces, additionally, Sabrina had gotten a slight cheat, as Ichigo had mixed his blood in drinks to amplify the power of the royal family, with their knowledge of course, though he never gave them an ephitet.
This resulted in the entire royal family getting a massive reiatsu boost from Ichigo, and Sabrina was no exception, she already knew the vast majority of Quincy abilities as being an echt Quincy made it easier for her to utilize them with minimal if any training, the reason she needed some training was because of her lack of control in terms of her own massive amount of reiatsu, in short she had far more then what she could properly control which affected her abilities as a Quincy due to lack of control over her reiatsu, so she trained reiatsu control for one to two hours each day and took the shape of combat training for self defence and other types of combat.
In short she did have a lot of free time usually, and when Ichigo thought about it, the new military base in Silbern was almost finished as most of the buildings had been constructed already, they were just moved instead, even the bases in the city was simply just moved by being turned into reishi before remanifested inside the base by maintaining the form of the buildings in the shape of reishi.
The Buildings that was under construction usually revolved around the area known as the Depot or train depot for short, which was a massive storage building for trains and everything they needed, as they were unable to manifest electronics, railcars with electronics and systems was also to be stored there, though that mostly applied to the complex generators and computer systems, aswell as the railguns, though the Silbern military depot was just one of many military depots, but it was by far the biggest one.
Some train cars had military control panels which was special computers with unique appearances and lots of buttons, this one was not easy to manifest due to the system brimling with electronics and was actually quite heavy as they were made out of armored steel to protect them from damage in a battlefield should it ever get too close to one.
The four military interface panel systems, also called M.I.P for Military Interface Panel, were of different size, small, medium, big and massive, the most common panel to see would be the small panel, as it was usually located around military checkpoints or something like that, the difference between the panels weren't the capabilities they had, but how quickly you did things.
The bigger the panel the more buttons you had, the big panel had several buttons on a side panel which could be connected as shortcuts to certain commands, like the depot for instance, the control room possessed the large M.I.P there, if the razor trains were automated, then the preset options and destination could be saved in the panel buttons which made things quicker and easier as it could be prepared beforehand, opening the preset save, it could even delete the preset save on the button after the depart button was pushed, easy system right?
Additionally the depot would use a regular computer connected to the M.I.P system to preset the route and then the computer would send it to one of the M.I.P control panels as, for security reasons, the trains only listened to an M.I.P panel to ensure that it was harder to hijack, additionally they utilized a standard computer since it could not make the train depart, which could happen by accident by pushing the wrong button, this way they ensured that the train didn't move whilst putting in the presets, so it was deemed safer and more appropriate as no one would be run over by someone accidentally pushing the wrong button and the train ended up in the completely wrong area completely empty.
The M.I.P panels also had a lot of security features and almost all the electronic assistance the military might need whilst on a security checkpoint or controlling trains, you could not login unless you had an access seal, similar to the one Ichigo had and the rest of the royal family, every soldier in the military had one, though the access their seals had was limited, the M.I.P system would only grant access to the security clearance of the seal, in some cases the M. were programmed to have a certain clearance which ensured that only certain personnel could use them, and the system was also built around the seal scanner, so if the seal scanner broke or got destroyed, the whole panel would malfunction and all the stored data would be lost in it, this was intentional as to ensure that the system would not be hijacked by unauthorized individuals.
Additionally, the M. had an inbuilt communications system from text systems to radio systems, aswell as a call system to allow communcations between seperate units, and access to security cameras and everything needed in the field, as mentioned, the small panel was usually used as it was lighter to carry around, usually they would attach it into a specially made panel house which was made to house the panel, or it could be attached into a guard house where the capabilities to house the M.I.P was built in.
A guard house was definitely a more prefered option then the panel house, as the panel house was essentially a large shield that protected the front and sides but had no door or walls on the rear, exposing the panel to the public, ensuring that the panel itself had to be guarded and monitored closely if it was already logged in as the panel did not log out by itself, which was a drawback but no matter, even the vault had gotten such a panel, though that was a massive panel, which essentially were several panels, usually one big and two medium connected to one another and gave a lot of control and capabilies.
Sabrina knew about these panels and had seen the small, medium and big ones but never a massive one, what she didn't know was that just behind Ichigo, the shelves and all that had been moved to another location in his office, the same in Bambietta's office, for inside the roof was a big fall panel, which went up and down and hid itself inside the roof and utilized and elevator to get down, and with Ichigo's access seal aswell as Bambietta's, they could both control the entire military from the M. , even in a security checkpoint, clever system right?
The new Silbern military base was actually massive enough to be looked at as a small city with lots of space, they even had their own training field inside the base, which was located inside the city, and the base would be isolated from the city by large defensive walls that functioned as barricades to seperate the base from the civilian population.
The base, as mentioned earlier had a naval yard, airbase and areas for the infantry to be, and it possessed a training area that had a variety of excercises, like a melee facility to train in melee combat, firing range to train in the usage of bows and firearms and other weaponry that the soldiers might get, aswell as an advanced training course utilizing firearms and bows aswell as other capabilities in a combat simulation.
However, the advanced training course revolved around small explosives aswell, the Quincies did get a lot of training using substitutes, as the Quincies lacked easy explosive spells as those spells that made reishi explode was high level and very difficult to master and thus the paladins were better at it then the regular grunt, of course even the paladins struggled with those abilities so it did say a lot on how difficult they were to utilize perfectly, Bambietta was an exception due to her ephitet though, and Ichigo got a cheat through the Königs macht.
This resulted in the research division developing bombs or explosives exclusive to the military and some parts of government agencies such as the police, so let's talk about four of them.
Two notable exceptions that was shared by both the police and the military was actually a grenade that possessed modified reishi that, when put to some pressure, caused by a small internal explosive, causing it to give off a blinding flash to blind the opponent while depicting a loud bang, causing the opponent to become slightly disoriented, in short it was a flashbang, and the grenade had the appearance of a bike handle with a thicker bolt like appearance on top and bottom, and was used by police and the military as a non-lethal weapon, but most commonly used by police but the military had training with them and did possess them in storage.
Naturally the goggles protected the soldiers from these types of grenades both in hearing and blinding due to the earpieces and the glass on the goggles.
Another one consisted of smoke, which was the same kind of smoke that the vehicles used, and consisted of a box shaped grenade, and it could come in many colors, such as green, red, blue or white and other colors, and there were two variants of smoke grenades, one was the signal smoke which let out smoke slower to signalize, the second was covering smoke, which blew out smoke fast to hide the soldiers and cover smoke was white to match the uniforms of the soldiers as it was originally meant for the military and as expected the military utilized smoke the most, however the soldiers did not possess them in the field just yet but they would very soon, we'll talk about the reason in just a bit.
Regardless the police did have similar ones which was filled with teargas but that hasn't been used.
The third one was possessed by the military only as it was a lethal weapon, the same with the fourth one, the third one came in two variants and the first variant had the shape of a pineapple grenade and consisted of small amount of volatile reishi inside it, causing it to explode when activated, all grenades had a pin and fuses on top aswell as a safety lever that was thrown off when released, causing the grenade to go live, this one was throwable, naturally only the military possessed this for obvious reason, what would the police even do with a lethal and explosive grenade? Anyways this one was optimal in short to medium ranges.
The second variant was a bit more clever with a longer range, much more longer range, as the soldiers had six attachable pieces to their rifles, five which was manifested and one which was not, the one that wasn't manifested was a flashlight attachment that would only give away their position in a warzone so it was rarely used and was located in the equipment belts.
The first manifested attachment was a bayonet, the second was a scope for the rifle, the third was a silencer, the fourth was a bipod attachment to stabilize the rifle, now these four we all know about as we have seen them in action, the bipod, scope and silencer is commonly used by snipers, the bayonet was commonly used by everyone, but the fifth one was actually a grenade launcher attachment to be stuck to the barrel of the rifle similar to the silencer.
It was shaped like the standard Kar 98K rifle grenade attachment, and the grenade did have a similar appearance to a standard kar 98K rifle grenade, almost shaped like a thick weird bullet, but it functioned slightly differently, because how this functioned was that you put the grenade in the correct way inside the attachment and load the rifle with a reishi round, which was the reishi bullet and the reishi casing, then you fire.
As you fire the rifle, a lot of things begin to happen very quickly, because the grenade itself did not contain volatile reishi so it had to be given it, aswell as the need to activate the grenade and make it live, and that's where the reishi bullet comes into the picture, because when fired the bullet would hit what would be a special fuse that activated the grenade, and the moment the bullet hit the fuse would then absorb the bullet, causing the reishi to go by materials that destabilized it and made it volatile until it reached the container, effectively arming the grenade before it exited the attachment, and that's how a Quincy gets a live rifle grenade.
But the rifle grenade would still need to be shot out, and that's where the reishi casing comes into play, because the reishi casing was made volatile and exploded when the rifle was fired due to the manifested rifle design, if you manifest it wrong then it wouldn't fire, and the casing and bullet were two reishi pieces seperate from one another, the casing gave a lot of pressure to the barrel when it exploded, that pressure would then throw the grenade out of the attachment with a massive speed, causing it to fly further then you can throw, resulting in this grenade being handy for medium to long ranges.
They tried it with a supercharged casing but the range became to great and the grenade exploded mid air, so a supercharged casing wasn't optimal and never use a supercharged bullet because then the container would overload and the grenade would explode prematurely as the volatile reishi leaked out and hit the live fuse, resulting in your face and hands being blown off or you commit suicide by grenade.
Additionally the grenade attachment was manifested to hold the grenade, though it would get loose if enough force was given, or by pushing it out with a stick or something, as the attachment was designed to hold the grenade, so if a soldier had it manifested they could load it and put it into their belts for quick and easy attachments as it was already loaded, and as it wasn't live or armed it was perfectly safe, so it was secured and easy to shoot out without much resistance, so this too was also a clever manifestation design and a clever design for a grenade.
These two grenades were handy against infantry and to clear out rooms before entering or for the rifle grenade, which would be handy in case an crystal MG was in a window further away, allowing you to blow them out without getting too close, and these two variants were called light grenades by the military, and was designed as mentioned, to be utilized as anti-infantry weapons, so they weren't too explosive but they did the job perfectly.
The fourth one was also lethal and explosive, even more explosive then the first two was, and was entirely designed against armored or highly protected targets and had it's own desinguishable appearance, as it was similar to a German stick grenade in almost every aspect except it contained a lot more firepower, and unlike the other grenades it didn't have a safety pin or safety lever, but a safety cap underneath the stick which was meant to be screwed out and then a wire would show itself, then you pull the safety cap until the wire breaks and you are live.
The reason the soldiers didn't have this yet was because their equipment belts were filled to capacity so they needed a bigger belt, it didn't need to be too big as just about two milimeters would do the trick, even the paratroopers had to drop some needless equipment to get their charges inside, which was not supposed to happen as the equipment belts were made with the idea that you had all you needed and could still have a little bit more inside it, but in the end it just became too much for it's size, but as it was just a two milimeters the changes was barely noticable, funnily enough the change required only 0.5 milimeters for the additional equipment but they decided on 2 milimeters, and they made the change in range rather then width so it wouldn't get stuck to something as it would then stick out more.
So that's the reason the Quincies did not possess explosives naturally out in the field, and there wasn't much to connect the grenades to either, atleast not the handheld ones, so they would have to keep them in their pockets as substitutes.
Of course they would get the new belts probably tomorrow, maybe, atleast the units in the field as the new belts were already ready, but transport of them haven't been completed yet, just a few hours after they departed many trucks arrived through the schatten with these new belts, everything was already in them and they had space left over, which was a massive benefit.
There were plans to make flashbangs and smoke grenades in the shape of rifle grenades aswell but the research division hasn't started on that yet.
Regardless, Ichigo thought about it and he figured that it couldn't hurt to have her learn some military command, though Ichigo was surprised by Sabrina's request, he knew that she looked mostly up to her sister and the possibility of her becoming interested in the military was very high, although he never expected it to be this early.
"Alright, but I can't teach you myself though, as you can see I am already pretty busy but I'll arrange for a few officers of the O.D.K to teach you." Ichigo said as Sabrina was content with that.
"Yay... What's that? Are they also letters?" Sabrina said in joy until she noticed two documents.
"Oh this? Just some new changes to the penal system and the police, you see, some Quincies can live for about a thousand to two thousand years, even longer then that, so the department of justice have asked for harsher penalties that actually mean something compared to the system we currently have, this law will take place already by the end of the week." Ichigo said as he looked at the letter, leaving Sabrina to hum while looking at it.
"What does it say?" Sabrina asked curiously as she pointed at it, leaving Ichigo to read it, in short the changes were as followed.
Class one felony will remain as life imprisonment to the death penalty.
Class two felony be changed from 20 years to life towards 200 years to life.
Class three felony be changed from 5 to 20 years towards 5 to 200 years.
Class four felony be changed from 2 to 10 years towards 2 to 150 years.
Class five felony be changed from 1 to 10 years towards 1 to 100 years.
Class six felony be changed from 1 to 5 years towards 1 to 50 years.
Misdemeanor charges will not be changed and will remain as they currently stand by their current values in the penal codes with statutes of the judgement law in accordance with:
§16: Any individual whom finds him or herself convicted of class one and class two misdemeanors have the right to be granted the opportunity by a court of law to serve their sentence in other methods then a prison sentence and should be an option used when alternative means are availeble. The court have a sworn duty to uphold this right and inform the individual whom has been proven guilty by a fair and just court of law of this right and grant the individual whom has been found guilty viable options as a method of preventing prison sentences.
§16A: If a court of law finds that the individual whom has been found guilty by a court of law is refusing or is hindered from the alternative means of serving the sentence granted, a court of law can have the individual serve a prison sentence for no longer then the punishment required by the law.
§16B: A court of law retains the right to have a sentence served seperately of one another and add to the punishment granted by a court of law by having the sentences served seperately, a court of law shall not under any circumstances grant a harsher punishment then the law deems necessary.
Signed: Ichigo Kurosaki von Stratburg, Emperor of the Wandenreich.
The word von is German for From and is usually used to shorten the title in the surname and is traditionally granted to aristocratic families, so instead of saying From the house of Stratburg, von is a shorter, easier and still a proper alternative, like Sabrina's friend Alice Brickner, who's proper name is in reality Alice von Brickner as she is from the house of Brickner, a dukes family, though Kurosaki is just the branch and normally would be left out but the royal family usually use their branch names aswell in their signatures, and since this was uncommon, it was deemed that the branch family name shall go in front of the word von or from the house of.
"What does the other one say?" Sabrina asked curiously.
"This one? It's nothing special, just a verification of new equipment to the police as they had requested, they're being given new equipment better suited for their jobs." Ichigo replied.
"Like what?" Sabrina asked curiously.
Ichigo decided to explain it to her, so let's dive into that aswell while we're on it, you see, the police deemed it impractical to utilize firearms in cases where it wasn't needed, aswell as the pistols the police carried was really a lethal option, the police was limited in non-lethal capabilities which made their mission much harder as they were supposed to utilize non-lethal and was equiped with lethal, the police realized this quickly and sent in a request to the department of justice inside the ministry of defence which later sent it up to Bambietta who sent it to the research division.
The research division knew where to start so it didn't take long for a solution to arrive, though it has been some time since the request was filed, the answer was as simple as tasers, Quincy police bracelets and equipment belts without removing their current loadout.
Their holsters would be changed, and would house a taser similar to the X26c which was very much modified, like it's original counterpart the taser did possess an inbuilt laser to help with aiming, and did possess one cartridge on it to be fired, but it worked slightly differently.
The grip was slightly longer, similar to that of a handgun, and possessed a button on it where the middle finger rests built into the grip, that button was attached to two switches on the top of the taser which was the safety and power switch, so by pushing this button you could quickly turn the power on and safety off, and this build up wasn't a problem as it was a non-lethal weapon, and should the officer be startled it also allowed for a quick draw and ready to fire, additionally a button was on the rear with a light, when safety was off the light would flash red at timed intervals, and underneath it was a button for powercheck, allowing the red light which was long, to show the power level by showing a red line, as for the battery it was screwed in so you needed tools to remove it, to turn off power and safety on there was a switch on both sides which you just flipped up manually, simple as that.
The taser was optimal for ranged non-lethal, but it would be easier to use the stun baton or stunstick as some call it as it has both names, in close quarters, as they both could give jolts of electricity, though the stunstick utilized reiatsu to charge the tip of it in comparison to the battery powered taser, though the taser was also programmed to give 5 seconds of shock when it got contact, after that you would have to press the trigger to give another jolt and the jolt would be given as long as you held in the trigger and stop when the trigger was released, additionally the tasers were single shot and had to be reloaded after every cartridge was fired.
As for the equipment belts it held notebooks and pens and all that, it was slightly similar to the one the military, but as they didn't have as much in them, they had a lot more space and commonly used their belts to secure evidence or dangerous materials taken away from suspects for everyones safety, but they would contain a lot of taser cartridges, almost too many cartridges as it was essentially a storehouse for them as the police had bought in plenty, going as far as to equip one officer with 100 cartridges in the equipment belt... Yes you read that right, 100 in the belt, and 101 with the one in the taser already, so they had plenty in the field, so they weren't under equipped atleast, one might even wonder if the police envies the military for their packed belts.
But this left the question, if the holster would now hold the taser, where would the pistol go? Well that's where the police bracelet came into the picture, because the bracelets were meant as a advanced substitute to crosses, this bracelet was enhanced to allow the manifestation of the lugar like pistol at twice the speed of a cross, and allow the manifestation of a loaded pistol, aswell as to supercharge the casing to increase the pistol range from 25 meters to 50 meters by assisting the officer.
The bracelet looked like a thin steel cuff bracelet that you put on your dominant arm, on it was a stripe that was located in the middle that went around the entire bracelet that would either have a blue color or black color, depending on the pistol actually as the design of it was extremly smart, for if the line had a black color then the pistol would be manifested unloaded, no reishi rounds inside it at all, but if the line was blue, then the pistol would be manifested loaded, so it allowed the manifestation of a loaded pistol, and to do it all the officer had to do was to supply a small amount of reishi to the bracelet, so by looking at it the officer would know if he would manifest a loaded or unloaded pistol and it would allow him to unload or load the pistol without manifesting it.
Additionally the bracelet never vanished when the pistol was manifested and the bracelet was built to be almost sealed to the wrist of the officer as it was tightly put on and could not go over the hand and needed to be taken off with a special unsealing device which was located in the police station, the bracelet utilized distance measuring, so if the dominant hand of the officer just came a few centimeters away from the pistol, the bracelet would rapidly dispel the firearm, allowing the officer to manifest it in the officer's hand again if needed, this was in case a struggle broke out and a suspect might have gotten the pistol and ensured officer and public safety, as the fact remains, a suspect that reaches for a deadly weapon on the officer was a very real threat, and this solved that issue, and the bracelet could not be taken away from the officer without chopping off the wrist either so.
The bracelet was an ingenious design, as it ensured that the suspects could not take away the firearm of an officer and use it against the officer and the public, it also ensured that the officers would not accidentally reach for their gun when reaching for their tasers as the gun was dispelled in the bracelet, ensuring that no deadly weapon mishap could happen so easily, it allowed for a rapid manifestation of loaded firearms if needed if the officer is in a dangerous pinch as the manifestation was faster then most could act on, it also removed the fear of lethal firearms on officers during stops or whatever, and it ensured that no misfire incident could happen where the pistol accidentally misfired when loaded as it was a manifested object that depended on how it was manifested, and with an error or miscalculation it could injure somebody unintentionally, so it solved many problems.
And since it was being handed out today, no police officer was allowed to go with the old loadout on patrol, so every officer out on patrol currently carried this new loadout, funnily enough though, the delievery of these new pieces of equipment already started two weeks ago to the police, but they decided to wait until every station and district had gotten the new loadout before adopting it and making it official, the police had also trained in using this new loadout aswell as training pieces were handed out way earlier, the police did not use bows as it was easy to use abilities or manifest a Ginrei Kojaku bow, and if you fire hundreds of arrows at a time to stop a single suspect in the city with bunch of civilians around, it's probably not going to be a nice report to the police chief, if anything I don't really think the chief or police lawyers aren't so much as going to even dare to look at it.
"Oh." Sabrina said as she looked at the document before focusing at Ichigo.
Ichigo looked at Sabrina and noticed that she was still in her outdoors clothing, as it had gotten cold she was wearing a purple trench coat like jacket, aswell as pink pants and pink boots, but she departed with a headband aswell, leaving Ichigo to wonder if she lost it or something.
"Where's your headband?" Ichigo asked, causing Sabrina to take it out of her pocket, leaving Ichigo to nod.
"Can you train with me?" Sabrina asked curiously.
"Alright, but let's get you changed first." Ichigo said as Sabrina was happy with his reply.
Takakanai Village Outskirts
As the paratroopers and Onmitsukido had secured the village, they got a few hours of rest before the inevitable happened, namely a fullbring counterattack to retake the village.
They had decided to fight it out on the outskirts of the now ruined village as the destruction was immense, mostly due to the stalemate, and they did not want to ruin it any further so they decided to fight it out in a field of grass with the goal to hold the fullbringers back until reinforcements arrived, which was very close at this point.
For this mission they had armored up fully, though it was quite ironic to see soldiers looking like medieval teutonic knights carrying firearms, but then again they didn't have a choice as they had already taken heavy damage, and they had to hold out until reinforcements arrived, which hopefully would be soon enough, they had hidden themselves in a treeline and had fortified their positions with what they could.
For now it was just another calm before the storm, the soldiers were kneeling down and hiding behind trees in an attempt to ambush the fullbringers when they arrived, they still possessed air support but they had decided to stand back for now until they were called it, otherwise the fullbringers would have been alert to some degree if air units were flying around or attacking them, it was better to attempt to catch them off guard and use the element of surprise before raining hell down on them.
MG's were placed along the treeline, bowmen were in the rear along with snipers in the trees and riflemen were besides the MG's, a short while later, several red uniforms could be seen aswell as the sound of engines was heard by motorized vehicles, causing the Quincies to aim and fire in unison.
To be continued.
A/N: Alright, this chapter was filled with a lot of detail and explanation which took up way more time and space then I originally anticipated, but I also decided to take the time to put all the explanations and new concepts out there in this chapter rather then going through several chapters explaining them over time, anyways I will continue where I left off next week, so cya then :)
