Chapter 86 – 5 years ago Flashback
Luke and Ines were inside Leia's office alone for now. They were hugging each other for a while. Luke didn't want to let her go. He was so relieve that she was found innocent thanks to Han and Lando.
Speaking of which, most men entered inside the room and the moment Luke looked at them, he let go Ines and hugged Lando and then Han, followed my Ines.
"I can't thank you enough for innocent Ines on that mess" Luke said looking at them.
"Luke is right. You guys saved my life" Ines replied too.
Lando smiled at Ines and grabbed her shoulders
"Hey you are my friend and I knew you had nothing to do what they were accusing you"
Ines smiled at Lando and hugged him again
"How did you guys know it wasn't her?" Luke asked as they all sat down on the couch, and Luke pulled Ines into his arms, making her resting her head under his chin.
"Leia told me the information that the Senate received from an anonymous source. They had to know if that info was true and in fact it was, there was a Talia family member who worked from the Emperor and that person was alive." Han started
"Of course for them I was the only Talia alive that they knew off" Ines nod
"Exactly. So I remember what Lando told us in the Freedom Day, how suspicious that guy was. Leia told me that you have two older brothers and she thought what if one of your brothers survived. So I decided to find Lando and asked if their people already had sent him the surveillance images"
Lando nod and continue
"In fact my people has sent me those images, and we were scanning the images and we were able to catch his face and we ran through the network database and when the name appeared, we knew right there that Leia suspicions were right."
Ines sighed and wrapped her arms around Luke's waist who tighten his grip around her.
"I still can't believe my brother worked all this time for the Empire and we didn't know about it"
Luke kissed the top of her head and rest his left cheek on it.
That moment, Leia, Ackbar and Mon Mothma entered in the office, making everyone looked at them, as they also sat down on the couch.
"Ines, once again I want to apologize for what happened" Mon Mothma told her "But you must understand we didn't have any other clue that one of your bothers survived as well"
"I understand Senator. I didn't know either."
"Ines, you didn't notice nothing suspicious of Edmar 5 years ago?" Leia asked her
"Not really. I mean I think I didn't, at least that I remember"
"When was the last time you saw him?" Ackbar asked.
Ines thought for a while and looked at him
"I think it was the day I left Alderaan to go to Tatooine"
"The day we met?" Luke asked him, making Ines looked at him and nod
"Yes it was"
"Ines, please tell us step by step what happened day." Leia asked her "And please don't skip anything."
Ines sighed and nod and looking at Luke she smiled
"Get ready to see me the day we met"
Luke smiled and kissed her forehead.
"As for you, well I remember the day started as normal in the palace. Bail Organa has arrived from Yavin 4 with my father. They were with you" she said looking at Mon Mothma who nod
"Please continue"
Nodding Ines continue to tell what she remembered, making Luke and Leia the only ones who could see the images in her head through the Force.
Flashback:
Alderaan, 5 years ago
An 18 years old Ines was in the courtyard of the Alderaan Palace, wearing her black leggings and black top, twirling her bamboo staff. She throw the staff in the air and doing a flip she extended her right arm in the air and without even looked up she caught the staff and spinning around she swing the staff in her hands, ending with it alongside her body, hearing a baby laugh behind. Turning around she smiled when she saw her sister in law Gracy holding her 1 year old nephew Ken Jr.
"I see I have an audience" she smiled while she walked towards them, stroking her nephew cheek
"You were incredible minutes ago. Your brother Dan is right when he says you fight better then many boys" she smiled making Ines look at her
"That is the reason why Leia's friends say they don't see me as a girl and I will never married or having a little thing like this cutie"
Gracy looked at her
"And you believe in them?" she asked making Ines look at her in silence "Ines, look at you. In a month and a half you will celebrate your 19th anniversary. And trust me, the boys already look at you in different way. You grew up beautiful and your body is very feminine now, look at you. So trust me, I know there are a few boys that are interest in you"
Ines smiled
"I don't know if I'm interest in them" she said making Gracy laughed
"Right, the blond and blue eye boy. You've being talking about that boy since you were 10."
Ines blush
"Am I crazy for being in love with a guy that probably only exist in my head?" she told her
"Do you think he is only in your head?"
Ines looked at her and then to her nephew
"No. My heart say he exists for real and somehow I sense I will meet him sooner"
"Then if your heart says that, then you will meet that mysterious guy"
"The question is if he will like me." Ines spoke "What if when I meet him he doesn't think I'm interesting and this is only one side love. Or what if I'm not good enough in, you know, in bed and can't give him children"
Gracy looked at her sister in law in shock
"Ines what are you talking about? I know that he will love you for sure and if he is like you say your kids will be beautiful. As for the fear you have, if you two love each other when that happens, trust me, your fear will go away and even if your first time is not like you imagine, with practice it will gets better" she winked making Ines blushed and laughed.
"May I know what you two are laughing?"
Ines looked at her older brother Dan who arrived and wrapped his arms around his wife
"Girls stuff" she told him.
"Hope it is not about boys because I will act like the older big brother here" Dan said making Ines rolled his eyes
"I think I can take care of myself" she replied tapping his arm "I'll go take a shower. See you at dinner time" and kissing her little nephew she went inside towards her bedroom.
Back to the present:
Ines looked at the people facing her.
"So you didn't see your brother Edmar?" Ackbar asked her
Ines shook her head
"No at that time. He was not in the palace actually. I don't know where he was and what he was doing, but I remember he was very quiet during lunch. He actually didn't eat much and was the first to stand up and leave. We didn't ask what was happening?" she told them.
Everyone stood quiet for a while. Luke kept rubbing her back, smiling with the vision of her with 18 years ago, thinking about him and if he would like her when they met. 5 years later they were married and they had a child.
"So tell us, when did you got Senator Organa's message?"
Ines nod and she started again to tell the events of that day:
Back 5 years ago in Alderaan:
Ines left the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body while she was drying her long wet brown hair with another towel, when she notice the light of her message device flashing. Checking it she noticed the message was from Leia and she used their private message code. Since they were young they had a special room where only them had the code to make private message that nobody could hear. For Leia use their room, something was happening. She knew she had left without saying a word to anyone, while a few hours later their fathers arrived. She was sure her father asked her to do something and if she was messaging her right now it was because she needed her help.
Locking the door of her bedroom, she put the code and pressing the button, a small holo of Leia appeared:
"Ines, I need you to go to Tatooine and wait for me there. I will explain everything when I get there. If after a few hours I'm not there, just wait. I will be able to send something to you and take it to Obi Wan Kenobi, he is a Jedi Master and make sure he gets the message I will try to sent to him. Only you can be the one to do my task. You are the only I could trust this. Please don't tell this to anyone and after seeing this, delete it. Be safe my friend, I'm counting on you" and the holo vanish.
Ines stood there with a frown. Why Leia wanted her to go to Tatooine? What was so important that she need to find out that Jedi Master? It must something very important and very secretive to the point she wanted her to delete this message.
Doing what Leia asked her to do, she delete the message and went to her closet, she put her white pants and shirt and light gray boots, and grabbing her small pistol and her white cloak, she tied her hair into a braid and left the room. She knew how to go to Tatooine. There was only one person that she trust that could take her there without questions.
She was leaving the palace when she bumped into someone: her other brother Edmar.
"Hey where are you going in such a hurry that you didn't even see me?" he asked her
"Not of your business mister?" she said to him crossing her arms in front of her chest.
He looked at her outfit
"Are you leaving at this time?"
"I forgot something I need to do. Don't worry I will be back for dinner time" she said and started to walked but Edmar grabbed her arm, which made Ines look at him "Edmar let me go right now"
Her brother let go her arm
"I'm sorry."
"What the hell is wrong with you?" she asked
"Nothing, I just think that you shouldn't leave and stay at home"
"Oh please, I will be 19 next month, it is not the first time I left the house and it will not be the last time. I can take care of myself. You never asked me what to do, why now?"
"Nothing, I'm just worried"
"Well don't. See you in a few hours" and kissing her brother cheek she left, making sure her brother didn't see that she was heading to the Alderaan hangar, meeting one of her best friends who was already waiting for her there to take to Tatooine.
Back to the present:
Ines looked at them. Now that she told that, she realize her brother was acting weird and knowing why it hurt her now more than ever.
"Your brother didn't want you to leave!" Han told her, which made Ines nod sadly, which made Luke wrap her left arm around her shoulders.
"I didn't get it at the time. Now that I know he was working for the Empire, he probably knew that sooner or later something would happen to Alderaan and wanted me there. He knew the planet would be destroyed."
"Meaning he knows that you are alive" Luke told her
"Probably. But does he know that I'm married and have a kid and that I'm a Jedi?" she asked to her husband
"Ines can you tell us what happen when you were in Tatooine?" Mon Mothma asked her.
"Not much" she started, remembering the time she got in Mos Eisley.
5 years ago in Tatooine:
The ship landed in Mos Eisley. Ines stood up and looked at her friend
"Thanks, Wrein. I know I can count on you" she smiled at the 21st old young man.
"Hey anything for the girl who saved my ass in that combat exercise the other day" he smiled at her.
"Hey anything for a friend" she pat his arm. "Are you going back to Alderaan?"
"No, I have to get some things in another system before going back home" he replied to her
"See you then" Ines smiled and was about to left the ship when he called her
"Hey Ines"
"Yes" she turned around
"Nothing, I'll talk to you back home" he said
"Sure. See ya" and she left the ship and when she was outside, she smiled seeing the ship lift off and she looked around. It was the first time she was there and she didn't know anything there, but Leia told her to wait for her and that was she would do.
The hours passed and she knew something did happen. Walking around the place, she needed to think what to do next. Leia said to wait if she was not able to meet her there. Maybe the best place was to go to a local bar.
Entering there she saw all kind of creatures. Sitting in one of the empty tables, she wait there when there was a commotion, some blond kid was pushed away hitting the table behind him, when an old man ignited a lightsaber and cut the arm of the guy who was with the one who hit the young man. She knew what a lightsaber was, and if that old man had one it only mean one thing: he must be Obi Wan Kenobi. After that she didn't take her eyes from them and after they talked to a guy and a Wookie and seeing storm troopers, she decided that she needed to leave the place and following them.
Back to the Present:
"That's how I met Luke and Obi Wan" she said looking at him who stroke her hair and pull her into his arms. "So when we found out Alderaan was destroyed I thought all my family was all death. Guess I was wrong"
"Thank for telling us. And once again accepted our apologies" Admiral Ackbar said to her.
"You did what you had to do Admiral. Deep inside I understand" she told and standing up, they said their goodbyes. All she wanted was to go home and be with her husband and kid.
So we saw what happened the day Alderaan was destroyed and what Ines did day. What did you guys think what Wrein wanted to say to Ines? Do you think they will meet again, since he survived the destruction.
