The lobby of the school was finished base production. It was still little more than the mineral foundations. Strangely enough to others who weren't familiar with how Kirim was building it, the school was just that impressive. As she built it, her enchantments kept applying to the newly built sections without diminishing. Her magics were overwhelmingly powerful, but she kept shrugging saying it was normal. Even the newest sections regenerated almost instantly if damaged, and they resisted even the strongest of physical attacks currently available to them.

Kirim was still laying on the ground, building up the building. At least the basement foundation was finished. She was already started on the first above ground level. She had been at it for a day straight, only taking short breaks to teach and alleviate her sacred task backlash. It was a pain having to take breaks, especially when for some reason, she was far more capable of refilling her magic energy. It was closer to...that she just was finally hitting a bottomless pit. It was thanks mostly to Kiin supplying her with remote energy, so it was always two strong receivers, she could perpetually build the school with Kiin's assistance. She could be done in days because of it, so she had altered her plans a bit for that sake.

"How far are you going to go with building the school today?"

"Base structure up three more floors. I've gotten a really good flow for it so I just need to keep my eyes closed and keep going. I've stopped feeling the backlash from my sacred task since I'm nearly in a state of sleep. Sleep allows people to avoid the backlash from their sacred tasks for longer after all, and the constant flow of energy is making this much faster than I anticipated."

Her answer for Charles was baffling to him. What had already taken such a short amount of time compared to what was capable of the best Centoria had to offer, was going faster. Instead of building up the building over centuries, the rival structure of the school would be up in less than a month, and complete no less. The cathedral in Centoria was still going. It was much taller than she was aiming for, but her school and watch tower would still be excessive for the area. She was aiming for function over grandeur.

Kirim had become somewhat melded with the ground beneath her. Because of all of the energy she was channeling and distributing, there was some grass growing up around her and some vines were creeping up over her body. It was something which was worrying to her students. Kiin and Rithi were the only ones who weren't worried about her in the slightest, because they could sense she was perfectly fine and still herself. She was just rooting herself a little so she could borrow energy more easily from the ground beneath her and use it to get the construction done and over with as soon as possible.

The grass growing around Kirim had a gentle glow, as if saying that it was being careful with her. In turn, she was being demanding of it as if it were an extended part of herself, draining the energy further down, that the vegetation and minerals wouldn't use. The excess energy was being funneled and finely focused into the construction. Constantly casting for such a long time was refining Kirim's ability to a point that she wasn't using much in the construction, so she was adding more enchantment to the construction as well, strengthening the defenses of the building.

She was able to use her sense of energy to move around it like a specter and understand everything she was accomplishing. It was a good way to get a good look at every angle and make sure she wasn't making any mistakes.

"Are you still feeling okay?"

Along with the sound of her footsteps, Alice announced her presence with a worried tone of voice. She was the most concerned about Kirim's well being, or at least the most worried that she might be hurt. She checked in every hour or two to make sure Kirim was still doing okay. It was interrupting her sleep as well so Kirim was worried about her for good reason.

"I'm still perfectly fine, in fact feeling even better. You really need to get some rest though. You've not slept properly for at least a full day at this point. As a human you surely must be feeling the exhaustion..."

Alice couldn't come up with a good response. She was too tired to formulate thoughts in the line of defending her actions.

"Please, go get some sleep. You already know I don't need sleep, and you can tell that I'm fully abundant with energy just by looking at me now, so stop worrying about me and worry about yourself."

Alice nodded, but she didn't leave. Instead, she laid down beside Kirim on the lush glowing grass surrounding her.

"I'll sleep here... I'll feel better if I don't leave you alone here. Let me know if there's a reason for me to get up."

"I will. Sleep well."

Shortly after, Kirim could sense Alice's breathing change. She fell asleep very quickly for a few reasons. First, was obviously her exhaustion. Second, she was relaxed around Kirim. Third, Kirim was relaxing her further with a little of the magic energy. It was instant as soon as she finished speaking.

Kirim continued with her construction on the school, soon after finishing the first ground level floor and beginning the second floor. If she had to describe the shape of her building, she would call it a layered building. Larger layers at the bottom, smaller at the top. A few layers at a time could be the same size, then the layers would be smaller. Until the very top at thirty floors above ground level, she would continue, since that was her aimed top of the building. There would be another six spires evenly spaced which would branch out from the fifth and sixth layers to the twenty fifth and twenty sixth layers. There would be bridges between the spires both for structural support and for travel between the spires. Dormitories and living facilities dominated a lot of the upper levels in her mind, while the middle floors were mostly for studies and learning as far as space was concerned.

The more she thought about it, the more energetic she was into speeding along the process. She was determined to finish the outer structure as soon as possible. She wanted to see the majestic structure standing tall and showing the world that she meant business with her contributions. She wanted to prove she was useful to the light lands' resistance of the dark lands, that she was going to provide the best possible environment of learning that maybe both sides of the world could use someday. For anyone to be able to fully take care of themselves, be capable in combat, survival, magic, everything she was able to teach and everything she would learn.

"Oh, looks like it's growing faster even now. Seriously...this impressive growth of this building is baffling. Oh, sorry. I didn't notice Alice sleeping next to you."

"It's okay. I've blocked her hearing since she fell asleep so she doesn't get awakened by potential falling debris from my building. There hasn't been any issue so far with debris, but I don't want to have any unnecessary risks since she decided to spend time here."

Charles nodded in understanding.

"Pardon my distraction then. Really though, this is coming along so fast. According to what you described, I imagine at this pace you'll be done within the next seven or so days."

Kirim hummed in agreement.

"That would be ideal. Anyways, I need to really tighten my focus on this construction now or it'll take longer than the ideal time."

Kirim wasn't the only one working on the school anymore. Her students were pitching in with filling the building up. They were tasked with filling the basement layers according to her plans. She had to convey it through mental imagery, and thankfully that seemed to work when conveyed between their minds.

As planned, they were making the lowest level into a bathing area as well as a space for training which related to water. She had to alter the basement level's foundation a little to provide them a clear indication for the deep submersion pool they would be creating. She extended it to creating a reservoir which would connect the rest of the school's water up to the dormitories and the very top of the tower, but primarily she was concerned with making sure that water would be available even to those who weren't able with magic to produce water, though water and the most basic of heat magic were going to be a requirement in her survival classes.

The progress with the fill was going smoothly as they transformed the blank foundation of the building into a smoother surfaced, more intricately designed space with the walls and floors even having fine details. It was more because she wanted them to practice with their design skills using mineral magic. She temporarily made the very bottom level of the foundation workable. If she didn't soften the foundation, then they wouldn't be able to add designs the walls and floor. They also had some lumber and tree trunks cleared of bark with them to add some variety to the colours within the floor. They wanted some different colour other than being stuck with the light gray stone walls and floor. Part of their intricate designing was making the walls a different colour to the floor through lighting and texture. The floor was smoothed and softened and heated for ease of walking on, while design wise it was given a wavey design underneath, like wisps of wind had formed the bottom layer of the foundation instead of it being created perfectly in an instant. The almost fluid-like design encased in a soft layer for ease of traversing atop impressed them. It was a suggestion from Kiin when Kirii complained the night previous that they didn't know how to make the floor and walls different from each other while keeping them the same material.

Creating barriers for the pools and reservoir, extending the walls and floor and then bordering the pools and reservoir with their provided wood, creating many stalls for changing clothes and individual practice, they were becoming more and more proud of their work. They had a basic layout provided mentally to them from Kirim, so as long as they kept to that, they were able to design freely within that layout and add intricacies which followed their taste as they learned how to design.

"Eugeo, can you tell me if this looks consistent to you?"

Kirii had gotten much better at his speaking ability since Kirim started teaching him, being strict as possible. He was learning incredibly fast from all of the swiftly provided lessons. Some things didn't stick due to a lack of being able to keep consistent with training everything daily and forgetting some of his previous lessons. He had to be reminded to train in something at times which was embarrassing to him, but he had grown used to the feeling of being embarrassed, so it had been numbing him to the jabs of embarrassment.

Eugeo joined Kirii where he was laying a piece of lumber, molding it with the edge of the reservoir. He was trying to make sure it was smooth and consistent, not warped from the temperature fluctuations they were providing in the layer of the building. Without the hot water they would eventually have in the building, it was cold warping which was adjusting the way their wood was twisting.

"Just right here, it looks like it's a little off. You want it down a little. Remember to treat it so after it's fixed we don't need to worry about it later."

Kirii nodded. It was the first they had done anything with the wood in their designs for hours, so he wanted to make sure he was getting it right. His vision was struggling with the detailed work. Because of lacking vision from one eye, he was straining his remaining vision while designing such small details.

He adjusted where Eugeo pointed out to him quickly, treated the wood and got back to work, finishing the trimming of the reservoir with Eugeo's help a couple more times from being unsure. Kirii was worried Kirim had forgotten about fixing their eyes, especially when he needed that eye he was missing for the current project. It was distressing him that Kirim had gotten so much stronger so fast at using magic, but still didn't fix their eyes. He wondered if there was some reason, perhaps like she wasn't working in the right level of detail to be able to fix their vision. He had asked Alice if she would be able to fix their vision but every time he asked, she shook her head. It was too much for her, too small of detail to work with and she worried she would hurt them trying.

It neared evening when Kirii and Eugeo finally felt satisfied with their work in the bottom basement level of the school. They looked from the fancifully designed staircase with their tastes to the part of the basement visible to them, and appreciated all the effort they had gone to in order to fill the large space. They wanted to check with Kirim if they missed any spots, even though they had been checking over areas of the floor several times.

When they got outside, they appreciated the breeze which swept over them, until it stabbed them to the bone and made them shiver violently.

"Maybe we need some heavier clothing now..."

Eugeo's comment got a nod of approval from Kirii.

"That would really help. We were a little warmer inside because of the breeze not being part of it, but it really is cold underground, and especially outside at night..."

Eugeo nodded in agreement. They headed over to the glowing patch of grass where they knew Kirim was working, and stifled their surprise at Alice being laid down next to Kirim, holding her in a tight hug. The grass was creeping up over Alice as well.

"Don't worry about Alice, she's safe. You did well with your work on the bottom floor of the school today. Tomorrow you can start with making some winter clothes since it has been getting colder. Just something a little heavier would suffice, something you can pull over your other clothes or if you want to test yourselves, you can make some heavier clothes from scratch. After you have made your new clothes, I would like you to work on the second basement floor. That floor will be much easier and faster to work on, since it'll be the physical training floor."

She pushed her layout to them in that moment for the floor. They took a moment to understand the layout and nodded.

"That really should be quick after the floor we just finished. Anyways, we're very tired. Good night~"

Eugeo waved as he said good night and walked passed Kirim and Alice. He glanced back at Alice and a frown was on his face. Kirii stayed behind a little longer.

"I keep stopping myself from asking...but now I really want to know. Are you still unable to fix our eyes? You've been doing so much magic, but..."

"I still can't. I can build all of this, but detailed magic is much more difficult to control. I've been having you train with designing alongside Eugeo and Alice, so that you can understand just how much effort detailed magic requires. When I actually do fix our eyes, I'll have to use magic to observe our eyes on a microscopic level, which already consumes a lot of magic. Then I'll have to control energy on the same tiny level in order to avoid damaging the surroundings. The goal is to heal, but when healing a microscopic injury, you're dealing with dangerous amounts of energy, and misplacing it even a little could cause even more, likely lethal damage. Imagine me going into your head with magic and accidentally touching your brain with heat magic – that could give you irreversible brain damage. You might forget who you are. I don't know how the brain works, but that's a worry I need to keep in mind."

Kirii sighed.

"Okay...I'm just...worried about how long we've gone without healing our eyes...it's difficult designing while I'm operating on half vision."

Kirim sighed in frustration.

"I've taught you this several times already to negate this weakness...you can use magic to supplement the vision lost. You can use magic to see your surroundings in even greater details than your eyes ever could, though it uses a lot of energy. Do it right now, and place flowers on Alice without waking her."

Kirim's frustration had Kirii depressed. She only grew frustrated with him when she needed to repeat a lesson to him several times. That was one of a few he struggled with. He complied with her demand of the lesson, and closed his eyes. He focused his energies into acting as eyes, visualizing his surroundings and spotted some wild flowers just outside of the clearing. He pulled a few out of the ground gently and laid them on Alice. It was difficult for him. It used a lot of energy and he was already spent.

"This is...too much."

He stopped using the energy and collapsed on his back. Kirim caught him with an extension of the soft glowing grass.

"Might as well rest here tonight. Notice how within my barrier you are warm? No insects, no cold stinging breeze, no discomforts at all, just a nice gentle warmth to ease you physically."

Kirii closed his eyes again. He enjoyed the soft, slightly wet grass beneath him, the warmth of Kirim's magic. He felt so safe in that moment, he almost immediately passed out.
