A/N: since I think that I was grasping at straws on Game of Life, I decided to document the supposed events that can support this pairing.
Chapter 7: The Acknowledgement [Part 15]
"How can you do this to me? You owe me a favor" Tsukishima reminded Byakuya of his debts to him.
"Indeed. I owe you, gratitude" Byakuya answered as he turned away from his mentor, the person who taught him all of his techniques. The one who showed him how to master his zanpakuto.
At this, Tsukishima was silent, as he lay on the ground, blooded, as Byakuya delivered a fatal attack, a technique he had never taught him from his altered memory.
"But you are an enemy to Kurosaki" Byakuya finally said, as he break the dimension they were fighting in to find Rukia.
Knowing that her riatsu had drastically weakened from awhile ago.

And there he find Rukia, lying on the ground, relatively unscathed, but unconscious.
Byakuya scooped her, and take her to safety with the others. And gave her to Renji, seeing as the other captain's were intently watching the fight between Kurosaki and Kugo.
This fight determines, whether they confirm Kurosaki's loyalty as substitute shinigami…
Or destroy him for his betrayal.
