Sabotage

"I'll go with Kanan and get Chopper to the data core," Damian said. "Ezra, my lightsabers are beskar, as is my blaster, so I'll need to borrow one of your lightsabers."

"You can have my first one," Ezra said.

Damian nodded. "And I'll need to borrow a blaster from one of you."

"Take mine," Ursa said. "I won't be using it."

She tossed it to him and he thanked her. He gave all of his beskar armor to her to hold onto for him. Then, he left with the others in order to infiltrate Saxon's cruiser, where the weapon was stored. Ursa and Tristan had been the only survivors of the first use of the weapon, and when Sabine had admitted to designing the weapon, Bo-Katan, as well as the rest of House Kryze, had been furious. They'd refused to follow her, until Sabine convinced them to help her sabotage the weapon and ensure it would never be able to be used again.

They quickly moved into the ship once they'd infiltrated it, then ducked down between a group of TIE fighters, looking around. The weapon, what Sabine called the Duchess, was missing out of the walker. Or, at least, its core was. Before they could do anything, a stormtrooper spotted them and the chaos began. Sabine and Bo-Katan left to deal with the Duchess while the others dealt with the shootout.

"So far so good!" Damian called out over the blaster fire as he hit a pair of stormtroopers, his borrowed lightsaber deflecting several blaster bolts from off to the side.

"I'm glad you're enjoying yourself!" Kanan called back.

Damian glanced around and swore as a pair of troopers climbed into two scout walkers. He launched himself at them slashing a leg off of each as he passed and caused the walkers to slam into each other and explode. As he landed on the floor again, he rolled under several blaster shots before regaining his feet and firing back, dropping the three stormtroopers targeting him.

"Kanan, Ezra, take Chopper and go!" Damian shouted as he made his way back, reflecting blaster bolts quickly, firing back when needed.

The other two Jedi ran away from the battle toward the corridor to the data core. As they reached the door, Damian dove behind a TIE fighter just in time to avoid several blasts. He rolled to his feet and leaned out of cover, blasting several of the fighters before leaning back into cover.

"Any time you want to use the Force, you let us know," Rau said.

"What, are you not enjoying yourself?" Damian asked.

Rau stared at him for a moment, and Damian chuckled, holding a hand out to a troop transport, lifting it, then flung it at a particularly large group of stormtroopers. There were several screams before the transport exploded and the ground lurched before an alarm began to shriek.

"Oh lovely," Tristan said.

"It's just a fire alarm," Damian said. "The whole ship was on their way here anyway."

Tristan sighed, shaking his head, and stepped out carefully, looking around for stormtroopers. After a moment, he stepped back behind cover. "One door is now blocked by the transport."

"You're welcome," Damian said.

"They'll be bottlenecked into the other door," Tristan said. "You ready?"

"Always," Damian said.

"Ready," Rau nodded.

"I'll draw their fire, you blast them," Damian said, tucking his blaster away. "Don't let me get shot, or you'll have to explain to Ahsoka that you let me die."

"We'll be careful," Rau said.

Just then, Ezra sprinted into the room, stopping and looking around at the destruction.

"Whoa," Ezra said, just as the door opened and Damian began to deflect blaster bolts, Rau and Tristan firing into the doorway at the same time as Damian sent the blaster bolts back into it.

"Ezra, do whatever you came here to do!" Damian shouted over the chaos.

Ezra nodded and took off at a sprint, rapidly crossing the hangar and heading for the room Sabine and Bo-Katan had headed for. However, just shy of the door, electricity suddenly erupted from the window, flashing down and blasting into the stormtroopers, spreading through the door and into the corridor. It also hit Ezra's helmet, but he yelped in pain and hurled it off instantly. Damian sighed, drawing his blaster and shooting the stormtroopers, putting them out of their misery. The electricity continued to hit them for a few more minutes, however, before ending. A moment later, Sabine, Ezra, and Bo-Katan left the room on an elevator just as the floor under that room began to melt.

"Clear out!" Sabine shouted.

Everyone turned and sprinted for the exit, taking off with their jetpacks and trying to put some distance between themselves and the impending explosion. As they flew, Damian looked back, watching the star destroyer fall out of the sky as explosions spread through it rapidly.

"Welcome home," Ahsoka smiled, kissing him.

"Thanks," he smiled. "It wasn't too hard."

"Is anything hard for you?" Barriss asked, grinning knowingly.

"I doubt it," Zera smirked. "He is a Shan."

"True," Ahsoka nodded. "So, where's everyone else?"

"Debriefing," Damian said. "And dealing with the matter of succession, I expect."

Ahsoka nodded. "Then I guess we have some free time."

"True," Damian nodded. "What's on your mind?"

"Napping," Ahsoka said. "A lot of it."

Damian chuckled and nodded, taking Alina from her, Alina being asleep right now. "Shall we?"

Ahsoka nodded, kissing him again before they headed for their room.
