Godzilla vs. Kong was okay, glad to be able to see it in a theater because that's how it should be experienced. I'm sure some of you, who are wrong, will disagree with what I will say next, but King of the Monsters was better.

Jpop21: And that's why you don't write shit at 4 am the night before you post and not proofread it. Thanks for the heads up, it's already been fixed.

MarauderPrime12: Uh...no, I can conclusively say that there was no Goblin involved at all in what's happened. Someone in green was though.

ScreamingStuka: That was pretty much my line of thinking too, they worked from a gameplay perspective but not really from an in-universe one. They simply don't make sense as something that Sable International would research and develop when things like APCs and helicopters exist. The reveal is coming soon, not this time though. Really though, Silver Linings (the third DLC) is where things are going to get really interesting.

A fan: All things being equal, I'm more likely to use Black Tusk. Albion came off more like a militaristic security firm like Sable International more than a full blown army like Black Tusk.

I'm going back to The Glorious Burden for this song title, because it is the best 'Iced Earth' album and an outstanding album overall, as I've often said. Greenface is a short, fast paced, and brutal track that really has a great attitude to it and that was what I was aiming to capture at a certain point in this chapter, I think you all will know it when you see it.

Power Without Question – Chapter 87: Greenface

My warpaint, the last thing my enemies see
Their teeth and their ears are trophies for me
On land, in the air, at sea
I'll be where the metal meets the meat
Green face

After exiting the subway, Peter, still in Spider-Man gear, moved quickly towards the lab and ran up a neighboring building before crawling around to the side that faced the lab and jumping across the gap. Landing on the rooftop, the Webhead entered the lab and pulled his mask off, giving himself a chance to breathe freely and run a hand through his grimy brown hair. "Really screwed the pooch on that one Parker," he chastised before going to the table that had his Spidey gear and began restocking. It took him fifteen or twenty minutes to grab everything he needed, but even when he was done he was left with little to do and he was in no hurry to have the same thing that had just happened occur again.

So when his eyes fell on the Velocity Suit, still partially disassembled as he worked out the kinks that had resulted in its failure just a few days ago, Peter knew how to keep from being idle. He had already replaced the damaged bits, and he had started work on preventing that overheating issue from cropping up again. Simply put, he was changing some of the internal structure of the suit to allow for better airflow from the unarmored parts of the exterior, left that way to allow flexibility. That had been a careful redesign, but he'd 3D printed the new parts already. So, he set to work removing the old parts and installing their replacements. While he was working, he heard his phone buzz from a different table and casually fired a webline to snatch up the device and pull it to him before seeing that Miles was calling him. Answering the phone and putting it on speaker, the Queens Native heard the teen speak first. "Hey Pete, you got a sec?" he asked casually. "What are you up to?"

"Oh, not much," admitted the Webhead truthfully, "Just working in the lab. What's up?"

"I just wanted to thank you again for that first lesson," replied Miles. "I mean, I thought we were actually going to do stuff but now I'm like, SO full of knowledge – this whole thing is unreal!" exclaimed the younger spider powered person excitedly. It brought a small smile to Peter's face to hear the teen so full of enthusiasm, the same enthusiasm he first had when he got his powers.

"When nobody's shooting at you it is, in fact, fairly rad," confirmed the more experienced Webslinger.

That elicited a small chuckle from Miles before he paused nervously, "So, when's our next lesson?" prompted the teen with a hint of excitement creeping into his tone.

Peter let out a breath, their first 'lesson' had been a rather impromptu affair over lunch the day after Felicia's penthouse was bombed. MJ had suggested it as a way to keep him busy and his mind off things. Now though, well, "Oh, uh…I don't know Miles, there's a lot…."

Peter's indecisiveness did absolutely nothing to diminish the teens excitement. "I've been finishing all my homework early. And all my chores are good around the house. And I haven't dunked a single fool in basketball once, I swear…" rattled off Miles with blistering speed.

But the senior Spider-Man cut off the teen, "No, that's all great Miles, you're doing a great job but…I don't know if you've looked at the news at all lately, I'm pretty busy. Though I'll let you know as soon as I'm free, okay?"

"Okay…" replied Miles, somewhat morosely before his tone perked back up as rapidly as it had dropped off, "Okay. Awesome, thanks Peter!" he nearly shouted.

For his part, Peter was giving his phone a sideways glance as he paused his work. "I've created a monster," mumbled the Webslinger under his breath, "A monster of enthusiasm."

As if to prove his point, Miles didn't let up, "Oh man, I can't wait to get back out there, keep training, working on my spidey skills…"

"Yeah, I'm so sorry about having to put this off," apologized Peter, trying to placate Miles and calm him down somewhat as he set back to work. "Things have been so…"

"No, no, I totally understand," replied Miles before he paused in a way that made Peter worry. He could tell when someone was thinking up something crazy, it came with working with MJ, Matt, and Felicia. "I just had an idea," said Miles, confirming Peter's suspicions, "What if I just come with you?"

Peter paused to make sure he heard that right, but even as he replayed the teens words in his head, he still couldn't believe it. "Come…with me?" he asked, "Where?"

"Yeah, you know, like…one of your missions," answered Miles, sounding as if he was trying his best to sound sure of himself and temper his own enthusiasm a bit, though he wasn't doing the best job if Peter was being brutally honest. "Or your quests or patrols or whatever you call 'em. Taking down bad guys, stopping…evil, you know. That stuff! The superhero stuff!"

Peter shook his head and let out a breath as he tried to find the words to let Miles down carefully. "I think it's too soon for that Miles. Though I definitely appreciate the offer," he added quickly.

"Why?" asked Miles sadly.

"Well…" began Peter as he mulled over what to say, "It's not like the movies, ya' know? You could get seriously hurt." Or even killed thought Peter, though that went unsaid. "There are some seriously bad dudes on the streets right now."

Hammerhead, all of his men that were using the stolen Sable equipment, and then Cooper was out there somewhere, and Peter didn't want Miles to get anywhere vaguely between the Marauder and the Maggia.

He couldn't convey all of that to Miles though, the fate of the Marauder was still up in the air and the public wasn't aware of the details, though various rumors were circulating furiously. The teen didn't take it that well either, "I…but…I gotta learn somehow," he answered, almost pleadingly.

"I know," conceded Peter, "We'll get together soon, okay? I promise."

There was a deep sigh from Miles, "Okay, thanks man," said the teenager sadly before hanging up the phone.

Peter refocused on his suit, hooking up a power supply to put some current through the system and run a diagnostic, "Man, talking to him makes me feel ancient…." complained the Webslinger glumly as he looked at the readout with fingers crossed. He could really use the armored suit, but he wasn't going to rush it and have a repeat of his first time out in the armored Velocity suit, not with him likely fighting more than just gangbangers robbing a pawn shop, it would be Hammerhead's goons, Hammerhead himself, or maybe even Cooper.

A vain attempt to push that thought from his mind went nowhere, and Peter was unsure of what would happen if…when, he ran across the Texan again. The Marauder was out there, somewhere, nobody else would have hit one of Hammerhead's fronts like that, except maybe the Punisher, but Matt had said that he was out of town. But that certainty only prompted more questions, like where had he been during the whole episode at the sanitarium? Perhaps more worryingly, where was BT? There was no telling what would happen if the Titan made an appearance, and with Hammerhead now having his own tanks that was a frighteningly plausible scenario.

That possibility was one he wanted to prevent, even if Peter was certain that Matthew wouldn't recklessly endanger civilians to get his revenge in the same way Otto had. The Webhead was also keenly aware that, at some point, Cooper would do 'whatever it took' to stop Hammerhead.

He just had to stop the Don before things got to that point.

Hammerhead couldn't help but flash an unintentionally sharklike grin as he watched his men climb into the bright white vehicles assembled in one of the warehouses the family owned. "Hey boss!" called one of his lieutenants, a bright and somewhat ambitious fella named Enrico, "You sure about this plan of yours?" asked the younger man.

"Course I'm sure," replied the Don derisively, "My people on the inside have told me exactly what them cops are up to. They think they're so smart and'll be able to pull one over old Hammerhead." The mob boss was interrupted by the grumble of the engines in the various armored Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles starting up in the confined space. When the noise calmed down somewhat, Hammerhead put one hand on Enrico's shoulder while he jammed a finger into the man's chest, "But I'm counting on you to show 'em that they can't get away with that, not anymore."

The younger man beamed brightly, "I won't let you down boss." With that promise, Enrico pulled away from the Don and climbed up into one of the vehicles. Hammerhead turned away and watched the more lightly armed and armored vehicles of the two types he was sending out today begin to roll.

But while their mission was important, Hammerhead didn't just want to hurt the cops, he wanted to make them fear him, and for that, he wasn't using the smaller MRAPs. He had sent word to have the Mako IFVs that had worked so spectacularly well earlier in the day at the Auerbach. Unlike the first group, the Makos had been entrusted to a longtime lieutenant in the family, "Carlo," greeted the Don with a smile as the man approached, "How are esteemed guests doing?"

There was a low chuckle, "Good boss, good," answered Carlo, "I saw to their accommodations personally. They are very comfortable for the big show tonight."

Hammerhead smiled, despite the cops and the Spider, he was still going to make the city his, it was only a matter of time now. "Now that's what I like to hear. You did some good work with chauffeuring my uh…cousins," said the Don with a smirk.

"Cousins?" asked a somewhat confused Carlos.

Hammerhead's smirk widened, "Twice removed, or so they keep telling me." The two men shared a small laugh at that before the Don turned serious once more, "But now I got something bigger for you to do for me. While Enrico and his boys are out doing their thing, I want you to take your guys and those Mako tanks over and make those fuckin' cops hurt."

Yuri Watanabe was a storm of emotion behind her placid features as she watched the trucks get loaded up with the crates that all bore the logo of Sable International, often alongside OSCORP's emblem and their corporate shipping marks. DeWolff had agreed to the Captain's proposal, readily, it seemed that the Commissioner was keen to stop the bleeding. At least while she continued to argue with the Mayor that, yes, they did in fact need the National Guard, and a declaration of Martial Law wouldn't go amiss.

But judging by the rather colorful tirade of curses that had answered Yuriko when she asked Jean how those talks were going, the NYPD wasn't going to get that any help from the Mayor. Sable International may have been an unmitigated clusterfuck and a justifiable, if minor in the grand scheme of things, stain on Osborn's mayoral tenure, but as far as enforcing order and helping combat the Inner Demons and then Rikers, they did their jobs as advertised. While Yuri had no particular care for Silver Sablinova herself, she could admit that the sight of the Symkarian Mercenary would be a relief.

So too would the Marauder, even if the Pilot wasn't answering any of her messages, but the Captain knew for a fact that she had seen him in the basement of the Sanitarium. The logical part of her mind told her it could possibly be, hell, probably was, a hallucination from the traumatic experience, but her gut told her that the blue visor was not a figment of her imagination. And the veteran lawwoman had long since learned to trust her gut. "If you're still out there Coop," whispered Watanabe to herself, "You'd better have our backs on this one or I'll kick your ass." She had already sent the Marauder the details of what they were about to do and knew he would help, though part of her said she wouldn't ever know for sure.

"Captain, we're just about ready to send out the first group," informed one of the officers overseeing this operation. "The patrol cars I requested as escort are waiting outside and it sounds like the other precincts are ready too."

Watanabe was snapped from her internal conundrums and gave the Lieutenant a curt nod, "Good work and good luck," she told him before the younger man turned and jogged to his car as part of the group escorting the trucks. Sighing, Yuri turned and exited the garage, moving towards the room that held the monitors for the Oscorp Crime system so she could oversee the operation. Stepping into the elevator alone, the Captain waited for the doors to close before she pressed the 'call' button on her phone and waited for Spider-Man to answer, and she didn't have to wait long. "Listen up. We can't let Hammerhead continue to arm himself," she explained without preamble. "Those armored vehicles will slaughter us and blast through our lockup if he decides he wants what we have. So we're going to spread the remaining Sable gear throughout the city in so many places that it won't be worth his time to go after it. And if he does then it's going to take a long time and force him to thin his men out."

The Webslinger seemed to really have his eye on the ball, because he answered seriously and immediately. "Ok. What do you need from me?"

Good, she didn't want to deal with any smartass quips or 'Spider-Cop' routine, not today. "Protect the transports," she said simply. "We'll have multiple groups going out in twenty-minute intervals and multiple convoys in each group going from different precincts to different destinations: be ready to back up any that get into trouble."

"You got it."

She let out an audible sigh of relief, "Once the gear's relocated, we'll focus on Hammerhead," she promised, to herself just as much as Spider-Man. "Stay sharp – lives are on the line," she reminded him seriously before the elevator dinged and she was forced to hang up as the doors opened and she strode towards the monitoring center. She just had to get her men through this and then she could take the fight to that sonofabitch Hammerhead.

As soon as Peter had seen Yuri's name on the 'incoming call' screen, he had pulled his mask on. By the time he had spoken, he was already out the door of the lab, and now that the conversation had concluded, he was already well on his way towards the nearest precinct to do as asked. But left to swing between the buildings, the Webhead had time to consider Yuri's words. "Not liking what I'm hearing in her voice," he admitted to himself, "I gotta make time for Yuri after this." He was starting to see Yuri show that hard edge that Matt would often display when he was dead set on a course of action that they would disagree on. Peter had already lost Otto in his quest for revenge on Norman, Cooper was seemingly dead set on seeing the end of the Maggia, and especially Hammerhead, and now it looked like Yuri might follow Matt down that path. Peter couldn't allow that to happen. "She gives me a lot of grief, but…I can't let her down," he promised to himself as he came to a stop on a rooftop, "Let me see if I can pick up the police comm channels…"

A few moments of tinkering with his radio receiver and Spider-Man was picking up the comm chatter relating to the NYPD convoys. "…unimpeded. Repeat, convoy three, progress unimpeded," reported a gruff sounding cop.

His HUD displayed a map of the city with an overlay that showed the origins of the various transmissions as various convoys and safehouses checked in and gave an all clear as Spider-Man moved from his position, not keen on being idle with how tense he was at the whole situation. Hammerhead no doubt would figure out what was happening, and probably very soon, and when he did, Spider-Man knew as well as anyone else that the convoys were exceptionally vulnerable to attack and almost too tempting a target for the Don to pass up.

Sure enough, he didn't.

"Contact! Contact, hostile snipers!" shouted one police officer over the radio, "This is convoy 5-2, we have shots fired at Bowery and Broome! Requesting backup!" Spider-Man immediately set his HUD to display a waypoint at the source of the transmission and set off straight for it. Thankfully, he was relatively close, and in a matter of moments he could hear the sound of distant high powered rifle shots echoing through the city streets. By the sound of the shooting, and the increasing hum of his spidey sense, the Webslinger knew he was getting close, and he quickly turned down Broome and closed on in the beleaguered convoy. With an acrobatic flip, Spider-Man stuck the landing on the side of the building that backed up to Bowery and began to run straight up it until he fired a webline at the edge and jumped, pulling himself up and swinging over the top. Pulling his arms in tight, the Websligner streaked over the roof like a heat seeking missile going straight for the Maggia sniper standing at the far edge and hitting the dead center of his back, throwing the man from the rooftop as the Webhead backflipped off and brought up his webshooters. Firing a pair of weblines as his feet hit the roof, Spider-Man snatched the flailing Maggia sniper out of the air before attaching the weblines to the roof and leaving the gunman dangling over the street below. Spider-Man stood and sprinted forwards, hitting the edge of the building and leaping up and off, firing a webline across to the sniper perched on the opposite building. In an instant, the Wallcrawler slammed into the Maggia gunman and sent him into a chimney before firing a burst of webbing to keep him pinned there. "Spider-Man cleared out the snipers. Move out!"

Spider-Man stuck with the convoy as they got back underway and began to roll through the streets. "What is it with guys like Hammerhead always wanting to fight?" wondered the Webslinger as he swung through the streets. "Probably has something to do with not having a binky when he was a baby…" Below the Webhead, the convoy kept moving, eventually emerging from the building bracketed streets, and turning to cross through a park as a hum began to vibrate through Spider-Man's skull as he was forced to pull himself to a streetlamp and launch off before firing a webline at a branch and swinging from the three like a brightly colored Tarzan. Coming to the apex of his swing, Spider-Man could see the source of danger his precognitive force was warning him about as a pair of white Sable MRAPs, complete with the remote-controlled weapon station on top of the leader, trundled towards the Police Convoy. "Hammerhead's men…" realized the Webhead, "How'd they know where the convoy would be?"

But all thoughts were dashed aside as the automatic energy weapons opened fire and peppered the front of the leading cruisers as all the vehicles slammed on their brakes and screeched to a halt. Cops bailed out of their cars as windscreens were shattered by the near continuous fire from the MRAPs weapons and took cover, returning fire with their service weapons until Spider-Man joined the fray. Landing on the hood of the lead stolen Sable vehicle and firing a pair of weblines at the machine gun on top, Spider-Man gritted his teeth as he pulled on the emplaced weapon with his superstrength until it was ripped from its mount. Spinning the energy gun around, the webhead flung the gun to the second of the Maggia vehicles as it slammed into the windshield of the second causing the glass to spiderweb with cracks as the doors of both armored vehicles opened and armed men began to emerge. "Keep the Sable Tech contained!" shouted a Cop as Spider-Man leapt from the hood and up to the roof and crossed the length of the vehicle in three strides and jumped off, twirling and twisting in mid-air before firing a pair of weblines at the ground and pulling himself down, slamming into the back of a gunman.

"Surprise surprisers!" shouted the Webslinger as a second Maggia enforcer turned around only for one webline to rip his energy rifle away before a second pulled Spider-Man to him as the hero threw a punch that sent the man skidding across the cement. "Surprisers? Oh yeah, it's a word now!" declared the Wallcrawler as he felt his sixth sense go off and instinctively leapt up, backflipping over the top of the goon who tried to hit him with a Sable Shock Baton, firing a burst of webbing into his face before falling back to earth. Jumping up, Spider-Man delivered a spin kick to the man's back as he struggled to rip the webbing off his face before he went stumbling forwards and into the back of the APC before more bursts of synthetic white silk pinned him there. "Hammerhead must have somebody in the department…" realized the Webhead.

But he didn't have time to worry about that at the moment, it was something he could pass onto Yuri after he took care of the second truck load of goons. Seeing the full squad of five emerge, including one brute with a multi barreled weapon, Spider-Man's eye lenses widened as he brought his webshooter up and hit one of the toggle switches at the base of his hand. The concealed gadget gave a pneumatic hiss while the pair of taser prongs at the muzzle sparked as the webbing passed through. The now electrified webbing struck home on the chest of the man in the middle of the bunch, causing him to falter before the taser like properties of the electrified webbing took effect. As the volts coursed through the Maggia gunman, his muscles seized up and he cried out at the sensation before Spider-Man started firing more bursts of webbing with the same electrified properties at the other men until the webbing cartridges ran dry. As the cartridges were ejected, Spider-Man noticed that the big bruiser was the only one still standing, holding his big gun up as if it were a shield. Closing the gap, Spider-Man barely heard his webshooters cycle a fresh cartridge in but knew they were ready as he fired a pair of lines, one at the weapons muzzle and the other at its receiver before lifting a leg and yanking back, ripping the gun from the giant's hands and onto the bottom of his foot as he wound up before lashing out, kicking the hug gun into the mans head and chest to send him crumbling to the ground.

"More! Above us!" shouted one of the Officers as Spider-Man whipped around to see a third MRAP on a hill overlooking the road, this one equipped with a fearsome looking missile battery that was laying into the beleaguered convoy. Before it could fire, or Spider-Man could even react, there was a muted explosion and flash of light above the vehicle that left the missile launcher shorted out and smoking before catching fire. Shocked, Spider-Man searched for the source, eye lenses scanning the surrounding rooftops only to see nothing until a flash of movement in the clouds overhead caught his enhanced eye. Squinting, the Webslinger could just barely make out the shape of a small aircraft darting from cloud to cloud, seemingly circling the convoy if the slight contrail it left in its wake was any indication.

The rapidly approaching police cruiser, lights flashing and sirens wailing, allowed Spider-Man to listen to the police net as another call from the dispatcher. "All units, situation developing at the Mayor's Compound," alerted the man working the radio. "Maggia vehicles have opened fire on convoy 3-3, shots fired, all units please respond."

"They'll get more than all units," quipped the Superhero as he sprinted towards the marker that showed the location mentioned in the call on his Head Up Display, "so much for being all clear, time to get moving." Jumping up, the Webslinger fired a webline at the nearest building and swung, pulling himself through the city as he flipped of the end of the line at the apex of his ascent and dove before firing a second line and swinging again, carrying the speed he had gained in the dive to cover ground as fast as he could. "Feels like Hammerhead's declared war on the police – and Yuri's working herself to the bone. I know she cares about her men but she's gotta learn not to shoulder all that responsibility…says the king of shouldering too much responsibility."

Hypocrisy aside, Spider-Man's enhanced senses could hear the echoing of gunshots emanating from a tunnel at the end of the street. Firing a webline at a streetlight, the Wallcrawler launched himself from it and flipped through the air, corkscrewing acrobatically until his feet stuck against the concrete wall of the tunnel and he began to run along it, able to see the situation unfolding ahead of him. There was a T Junction where the NYPD convoy had been halted, pinned on all three sides with an MRAP blocking each of the roads and the cop cars all forming a semi-circle with their backs to the wall and being pressed from all sides. A brute with a heavy energy weapon opened fire, sending a stream of red-hot laser pulses towards the police as the Webhead leapt from the wall and agilely planted one foot on the top of the white MRAP and sprung off before coming down on the back of the massive Maggia gunman, feet sticking to his shoulders as the Webslinger fired a pair of weblines at the gun in the man's hands. With a pull of superhuman strength, the gun bucked up as the man's finger slipped from the trigger, causing the weapon to fall silent as it was wrenched up and crashed into the man's jaw. Spider-Man slid down, hooking one leg around the man's neck as he used his momentum to knock the staggering brute down low enough for him to touch the ground, relying on his sticky hands and strength to wrench the man to the blacktop before springing up and webbing him in place.

His flashy arrival hadn't gone unnoticed either as one of the cops yelled at him from behind his shot-up cruiser. "Spider-Man! We'll stay with the convoy; you take care of Hammerheads guys!" The Webhead, for his part, could only afford to give a quick nod of acknowledgement before his sixth sense buzzed a warning and was forced to whip around in time to see a grenade coming and fire a webline at it, gracefully whipping it around and returning the explosive to sender. The grenade landed and bounced beneath the MRAP ahead of the convoy before exploding. One of the massive wheels was blown off the vehicle and went careening across the tunnel before a line of synthetic white silk latched on and redirected it back towards the Maggia men it had carried here. With a grunt of exertion, the wheel was heaved at a pair of gunmen that had dove from the grenade and bowled both over as the Webslinger fired a line at the last of the bunch that was standing and yanked the man forwards off his feet until he faceplanted on the ground and was promptly webbed down.

While Spider-Man had been busy dealing with that group, the Cops had shifted their fire to the group at the rear, keeping them pinned down and unable to support the other group. Now, with only six of Hammerhead's men left, the Webslinger took two strides before firing a line at the ceiling and swinging from it as the police ceased fire. No longer suppressed, one Maggia goon emerged only to be met by Spider-Man's swing kick that sent him flailing backwards as Spidey backflipped after letting go of the line and came down throwing a punch at a second man, knocking him back into the MRAP. To his credit, the Maggia goon recovered rather quickly, lashing back out with a drunken punch that missed before Spider-Man threw out a kick that hit the man's side, causing him to wince as the Webslinger threw a punch of his own that reversed his momentum before Spider-Man, in one last display of superhuman acrobatics, jumped up and delivered a knockout spin kick that left the man slumping against the armored vehicle.

The distinct report of a Sable anti-tank energy launcher reverberated through the tunnel before it was overshadowed by the ensuing explosion as a fireball lit up the tunnel. Spider-Man jumped up atop the MRAP and saw the carnage the weapon had caused. One of the NYPD cruisers had been blown apart and was now a charred and smoldering wreck, the cops that had been taking cover behind it were sprawled out on the ground and not in any better shape. While the police were reeling, the four remaining Maggia men had rushed forwards and were climbing into two of the trucks holding Sable tech. "No no no, that's not happening," said the Webhead as he leapt into action, jumping and firing a webline at one man's back before pulling himself to the tethered thug. Streaking across the tunnel, Spider-Man's feet were planted in the man's back as he was driven to the ground and the Webhead leapt off and flipped before pulling himself back down and used his feet to drive the goon's head into the cement, but not before the others had gotten the trucks moving and were fleeing the tunnel. "They're running with the Sable Tech."

Crashing the truck through a stationary cop car, Hammerheads men drove their commandeered trucks out of the tunnel as the Webslinger sprinted off in pursuit. Reaching the light, Spider-Man jumped up onto a lamp, planted his foot and sprung off to stick to the building and run along it, trying to keep pace with the accelerating trucks but only falling behind as the Webhead fired a web and began to swing. "I've got to keep this off Yuri's plate. I'll handle it," said the Webhead as he forced himself to up the pace, "I can handle it."

Even with the truck picking up steam, it had no hope of outrunning the quickly accelerating superhero as he pulled himself to a streetlamp and point launched off it, flinging himself through the air as he flipped around and loosed another webline at the back of the truck. The Arachnid themed hero could feel the line latch on as his arm was nearly ripped from its socket and he started to pull himself to the truck. He didn't make it very far before he felt a hum at the base of his skull caused him to snap his eyes to the back of the truck and see the Maggia man who had the rocket launcher pointing the weapon at the Webhead just before he pulled the trigger. Spider-Man could see the flash of the ball of red-hot superheated gasses was fired out the end of the tube and right at him. Reflexivity, the hero yanked the cable of synthetic silk and rolled in mid-air, dodging the projectile before effortlessly firing another line of webbing and reeling himself the rest of the way to his target, landing atop the roof of the truck. Turning around and looking over the edge of the truck, Spidey saw Hammerhead's man had stuck his head out, leaning out the back of the truck and staring up curiously before a line of webbing came down and landed square on his face. Gritting his teeth, Spidey yanked on the line, plucking the man up from the back of the box truck and up to his altitude as he fired a second webline at a passing streetlight and stuck the end to the Maggia man to tether the man to the light, leaving him to dangle as the uncaring truck sped on.

With just the driver left, Spider-Man turned and flipped, coming down atop the cab of the truck, shocking the driver inside as he produced a pistol and stuck it out the window to try and swat the irritating arachnid that had latched onto the vehicle. As soon as he pulled the trigger, the Webslinger rolled to his right and straight off the passenger side of the vehicle, twisting to line his feet up with the window and firing a pair of weblines and pulling himself to the cab, crashing through the window and kicking the man in the driver's seat. Since he wasn't wearing a seatbelt, the enforcer was launched from his seat and into the door, the latch of which failed against Spider-Man's momentum and was flung open as the driver was sent flying. Instead of following him, the Webhead stuck his hand to the A pillar and swung around to the front of the now driverless truck. Hands pressed against the grill, the Webslinger planted his feet on the ground and gritted his teeth, muscles burning in protest as he forced himself to bring the out of control truck to a safe halt. With a scream of exertion, the Wallcrawler held the truck back until the engine stalled and it remained still.

But he wasn't done just yet, "One more, better hurry," grunted the hero as he turned and sprinted off after the other fleeing truck, firing a line to pull himself up and swing from a building to catch up. Seeing the truck veer hard left and disappear around the corner of a building up ahead, the Webhead reacted, swinging to the building and pull himself up, flipping over the top and planting his hands on a generator to launch himself over the other side, pulling his arms to his sides and diving down and firing a webline to turn that vertical speed into lateral motion. In the blink of an eye he had caught up to the last stolen truck and landed on it, sticking to the side as it swerved errantly through traffic.

Crawling towards the front, Spider-Man peeked through the driver's side door to see the Maggia goon inside, totally oblivious to his unwanted passenger, at least until the Webslinger yanked the door open and threw a punch that caused the man to slump over along the bench seat. Immediately, Spider-Man grabbed the steering wheel with one hand and brought his other webshooter up to fire an impact web at the brake pedal, sticking it to the ground to keep the brakes full on as he held the wheel steady until the truck came a violent, screeching halt in the middle of an intersection. Jumping and flipping up onto the roof of the truck, he heard a ring in his ear and saw Yuri was calling, bringing a smile to his face as he prepared to give her the good news. "Yuri, good timing. I just…"

"Hammerhead was keeping you away," cut off the Captain, sounding almost frantic, "And we fell for it." Spider-Man's eyes widened as the implications dawned on him. "Get back. NOW," ordered Watanabe before abruptly cutting the connection.

That sheer desperation was something Peter had never heard from the usually unflappable Lawwoman, and it scared him. "Yuri!?" he shouted back into the dead line as he got his bearings and fired off a webline, quickly swinging towards Chinatown. "No no no…" he chanted as he set his earpiece to the police emergency band, which was anything but quiet.

"…and get those ambulances here! Make sure the ER's clear and knows we're bringing in…knows, knows how many we're bringing in…" relayed Yuri to the dispatcher, clearly just as frantic and desperate as she had been with him.

Not able to stand to listen to anymore, Peter turned off his earpiece and picked up the pace back to the Captain's precinct. "Why would Hammerhead hit the police precinct? All the Sable tech is out of there…" wondered the Webhead, not able to understand the Dons rationale. "Yuri sounds alright, physically, at least," added Spidey, correcting himself. "She's tough, but everyone has a breaking point."

Getting closer, all he had to do was follow the stream of emergency vehicles that were all going in the same direction he was and probably had the same destination. Rounding the corner, Spider-Man could now see the precinct, or rather, what was left of it. There were at least three massive holes blown in the brickwork that exposed the wrecked interior of the building showcased by the debris littered the parking lot along with the burning and wrecked police vehicles. Fire trucks were putting their hoses to work on a few small fires that were still burning as EMTs began checking the numerous bodies that were scattered in amongst the carnage. Swinging down and carefully setting himself down in the middle of it all, the veteran crime fighter's breath hitched at the sight of the precinct as he noticed more details. There were long gashes ripped in the side of the building that looked eerily similar to the damage sustained by the Auerbach theater as a grim realization came to the Webhead: Hammerhead hadn't sent those tanks to stop the convoys because he was using them to attack the precinct.

The survivors were busy clearing rubble as EMTs treated those who had been wounded, loading the worst of them into ambulances and bandaging those with minor injuries, and Spider-Man saw all of this as he weaved his way through the crowd to find one cop in particular. The sound of a door slamming open caused his head to twist around to the source and the eye lenses of his mask widened at what he saw. He could see Yuri's face, hardened and cold despite the stain of a tear mark on her cheek, but what was shocking was the lack of her usual leather jacket. She was instead wearing a set of grey form fitting pants and shirt that had armor around her torso as well as knee and shoulder pads, the same set of gear she had used when the IMC had attacked. Her usual gun was on her hip along with a few other small pouches attached to her gear. Making a beeline towards the Captain, he saw a flicker of recognition on her face before the Captain's stoic expression returned. "I'm so sorry, Yuri. I should have been here," he told her honestly.

But she seemingly ignored him, "He knew exactly what he was doing," snarled the Captain, "Those tanks rolled up, shredded the vehicles of our last convoy, and his guys went straight for the cases marked 'Project Olympus.'" Without another word, Watanabe strode off with a poise that beguiled firm intent.

"Any idea what that is?" asked the Webhead as he tried to keep Yuri from doing something she would come to regret.

The Captain didn't seem to be interested, "No, but he has it now," replied Watanabe tersely as she marched up to one of the few of Hammerhead's men that had been killed and rolled the bodyover with her boot.

"And we'll get him," promised Spider-Man sincerely as Yuri bent over and scooped up the white directed energy Sable rifle the man had been carrying.

Checking the weapon over and seemingly satisfied with it, the Captain tucked it under her arm and turned to face Spider-Man for the first time. "I know," she answered with icy calm before tugging up the part of her mask that covered the bottom half of her face.

But then she turned towards one of the newly arrived cruisers, nodding at the officer next to it and prompting him to step aside, "Where are you going?" asked the Wallcralwer as he jogged after her and she pulled up the hood to bring it to rest on the top of her head.

"To teach a lesson in fear," snapped back Yuri feistily as she reached for the door handle.

Only for a red gloved hand to hold the door shut, "Woah, woah, woah, woah – Deep breath," urged the Webhead calmly.

Yuri's head snapped up to stare into the blank eye lenses of Spider-Man's mask, the only part of her face that Spider-Man could see were her cold eyes that were slowly narrowing. "We should have had Hammerhead at the Sanitarium, I had the shot, but didn't take it," she recalled before her voice darkened, "I'm not going to make that mistake again."

For a split second, Spider-Man hesitated, debating weather he should force the issue before he reluctantly let out a breath and stepped back, holding his hands out in a show of calm to try and deescalate the situation. "Yuri, we need to work together. We'll get him, I promise," he urged, almost pleadingly.

The Captain opened the door and tossed her acquired weapon into the passenger seat before pulling down the six lensed goggles that completely obscured her face and coolly replied, "You said the same thing about the Dons. You had your shot Spider-Man, now it's my turn."

Before he could respond, the Lawwoman sat in the driver's seat and slammed the door shut, leaving a bewildered and distraught Spider-Man to watch as the car came to life and drove off. Any thoughts of following Yuri were pushed aside, he had antagonized her enough, but at the same time, not doing anything made the Websligner feel helpless and resigned to a truth he had been denying since the Maria had been stolen, "This cannot possibly end well."

With her destination firmly decided, Yuri drove the squad car past the steady stream of oncoming emergency vehicles headed for her precinct as her hands reflexively tightened around the wheel. Each one of them was a poignant reminder that, back at the precinct, there were a lot of cops that she called friends, good men and women that had trusted her to see the through this whole mess…and she had let them down.

And as a result, more than a few were lying dead in the parking lot.

Cooper's words after the Rally Bombing came back to her, "The dead have settled their debts Captain…it's up to the living to pick up the tab." Now, she was going to personally ensure that Hammerhead paid in full.

Watanabe hadn't brought backup this time either, it was the only way to be sure the Don wouldn't kill anyone else, if she failed then the consequences would be hers to bear, and she would have to bear them alone. Yuri didn't need to be a police captain, she didn't even have to pretend she was doing this for any other reason than for herself, which was why she had donned the Wraith Pilots gear that the Marauder had given her months prior. The armored suit still fit, and feeling the power of the jump kit and exoskeleton lent to her movements took a bit to get used to once again, but now that she had, it felt like they had always been meant to be there.

Her plan was simple, with it clear that Hammerhead had taken the gloves off, she was going to do the same. Like the gloves, the book had gone out the window, Yuri was going to do things her way, and that meant whatever it took to make sure Hammerhead didn't kill any more cops, she had let too many of them down already. To send that message, she was going straight to what the Don would consider his 'home turf.'

The Bar with No Name.

Bringing the cruiser to a stop under the old El Train line, Watanabe shut the car off and grabbed the white energy rifle from the passenger seat before getting out and setting off towards the Bar. Rounding the corner of one rundown building, the Captain laid eyes on the armored door that served as the entrance to the bar and stopped, hesitating for moment as a part of her kept her feet planted where they were, just short of where she wanted to go. Taking a breath, Yuri was forced to ask herself a very hard question; did she really want to do this? That door was the point of no return, once she went through it, part of Watanabe knew there was no going back.

But this wasn't about her, not anymore, this was about of all of the people that she had let down, that Hammerhead had killed, and all the others that would die if nobody stopped Hammerhead. And now? With the Marauder still missing and Spider-Man not willing to do what Yuri was now certain had to be done, there was nobody else who could do it, nobody except her.

No sooner had she come to that conclusion than the door she had her eyes set on swung open, two men in the slacks and button down shirts emerged and laid eyes on the fully armed and armored lawwoman. Coming to a sudden stop with wide eyes, the two Maggia men stared at Yuri while she stared back for a long second before they simultaneously reached behind their backs. Reacting on pure instinct, Watanabe snapped her rifle up and pulled the trigger, the Sable International weapon spitting out two bursts of red-hot laser pulses that slammed into the pair as they dropped, the guns they had reached for clattering across the concrete. Taking a deep breath, Yuri looked down at the battery gauge on the rifle and saw that it still had 34% of its charge. Hoping that would be enough, the lawwoman was now faced with the armored door as her eyes darkened and she reached for one of the things she had grabbed from the precinct on her way out. While she secured the explosive breaching charge to the door, Watanabe bent her knees and got ready to burst through the door as soon as it was blown open.

Even though she knew what was coming, Yuri's ears rung and ribs vibrated from the explosion before she rushed in and looked down the stairs. She saw a man stick his head out and opened fire, sending a burst past him and into the sign as he ducked around the corner. "Holy shit!" he yelled as Yuri moved slowly, but deliberately, down the stairs, weapon up and trained on the corner in case he stuck his head out. "Call the boss! Some crazy bitch with a gun just shot at me!"

There was the sound of a door slamming shut as Yuri moved up to the corner and looked around it to see yet another locked door. Snarling, the lawwoman pulled out a second breaching charge and began to fit it to the door, able to hear muffled voices on the other side along with a host of other noises. As she taped down the detcord, Watanabe couldn't help but call out to the Maggia goons on the other side, "If you're talking to Hammerhead, you tell him the law is coming!" Securing the main C4 charge in the middle of the door, Yuri continued, "You tell him I'm coming," before arming the explosive, "And Hell's coming with me!"

Calmly stepping a few feet back and drawing a tear gas grenade, Yuri mentally counted down the seconds until the charge and detcord would detonate. Just before that moment, she pulled the pin on the cylinder, the grenade's hiss completely overpowered by the blast of the breaching charge as the door flew inside, barreling over the well-dressed bouncer before the tear gas canister followed up. As the green gas began to fill the bar, visually obscuring the doorway, those inside the bar began to cough from the inflammatory riot control aerosol and didn't notice that the Wraith kit equipped woman had trained her rifle on the dazed bouncer until she pulled the trigger. The laser bolt drilled him between the eyes as he slumped down against a column, blood leaking from his head as the muzzle of the white rifle swung to the next man Yuri could pick out through the thickening cloud of gas.

To the Maggia enforcers inside the Bar With No Name, peering through the green gas with tear filled eyes, the flickering of the laser rifle illuminating the grey armored suit of the woman in the doorway made her appear very much like a wraith as she methodically gunned down the four men caught in the tear gas cloud. Those outside it reacted fast, diving for any solid piece of cover they could and arming themselves with anything that could conceivably be used as a weapon, knocking over tables and chairs in their mad dash for safety. One wasn't quite fast enough as the white rifle swung around and fired a burst that cut him down before he could reach safety.

"You all afraid yet?" asked the cop coldly as she looked down at the readout on the weapon that read 19% before she started scanning the bar again, "You should be!" Activating her cloak, Watanabe strafed to her right when a man stood up from behind the bar and fired frantically with a pistol as Yuri returned fire, red laser bolts blackening the wall behind him as he ducked back down. Her cloak fading and position revealed, two of the Maggia men hiding in a booth took their brave pills and rushed at the Wraith, one wielding a crowbar and the other having donned a pair of brass knuckles. The man with a crowbar swung as Yuri ducked under the wild swing before immediately having to turn her attention to the second man, twisting her body as she took the punch on her armored shoulder and retaliated with the stock of her rifle, ramming it into the man's face, causing him to scream as Yuri heard the man's nose break. In the corner of her eye, Watanabe saw the man with the crowbar coming back and spun, putting the other Maggia man between her and the crowbar as he swung again. The reverberating sound of the weapon slamming into the man's chest was only accentuated by the cracking of ribs as the battered goon fell to the ground and Yuri, rifle in one hand, brought the gun to her hip and held the trigger down, unleashing a stream of red laser bolts that perforated his chest as he fell face first to the floor.

But before the Wraith had a chance to catch her breath, the thunderous report of a shotgun had her diving for cover, licks of flame from her jump kit propelling her forward as she rolled along the floor as the shotgun fired again, throwing up splinters of wood as the barrage of buckshot struck the floorboards where Watanabe had just been. "Someone kill this bitch!" roared one as Yuri looked down at the weapon's energy gauge that now read just 11% and cursed under her breath.

"You go first asshole!" yelled back a second as the lawwoman just growled and rolled out of cover, shouldering her rifle as she came to a crouch and saw one of the goons standing in the open. He turned towards her, eyes wide just as she pulled the trigger and fired, cutting him down with the first few shots before she saw a flicker of movement in the corner of her eye and held the trigger down as she swung the rifle around, only for it to get kicked away by the oncoming Maggia enforcer. Yuri was forced to let the weapon clatter to the floor and try to dodge to the side, but she wasn't fast enough. The thug tackled her, driving her to the ground and pinning her there.

"I've got you now!" sneered the man as he loomed over Yuri, knife in hand that came at the woman's face as she stuck an arm up to block. Gritting her teeth as the exosuit on her arm held the man back long enough for Yuris other hand to reach out for a beer bottle and slam it into his head. The glass shattered against his skull as he screamed "Fuck! I'm gonna kill…" only to have his words turn to gurgles because the jagged glass at the bottom of the bottle was driven into his throat.

With a grunt, Yuri threw the dying man off her and tried to stand only for something to smash into her back and snap, knocking the breath out of her as the lawwoman staggered forwards and into a pool table. Thinking fast, she reached out and grabbed the 5 ball before turning around and slinging it at her assailant, the billiard ball struck the man in the mouth, knocking out several teeth and stopping him dead in his tracks long enough for Yuri to pull out her Rhino and plant a .357 hollow point bullet in his chest, sending a spray of blood across the wall behind him as his snapped pool cue fell to the floor. "Holy shit! She got Alex!" yelled someone behind her as Yuri turned to see a stunned looking man holding a cellphone and promptly fired again, the impact of the round causing his head to snap back as he too fell dead.

There was a sudden staccato crack of gunshots as Yuri turned to the source and felt pain flare up from her left leg as she grit her teeth and steadied her Rhino at the man behind the bar with a pistol and fired, her first shot winging him in the shoulder as his handgun slipped from his fingers and sent him reeling against the back wall before a second round in the chest put him down for the count. But the sound of a door opening caused Yuri to spin and see a man standing in there holding a double barrel shotgun as she slid away, using her jump kit to get clear as he fired his first shot that annihilated one of the flat screen TVs on the wall behind where Yuri had just been. The cop wound up between two pinball machines as the scattergun swung towards her and she rolled onto her back, pressing her feet against the arcade game and grunting as she pushed with every ounce of strength she had. Her move had the desired effect as the man staggered and lost his balance, toppling to the floor as Yuri leveled her revolver at him and fired under the skew pinball machine to put a round in his side.

"How about a taste of your own fuckin' medicine?" taunted another one of Hammerhead's men as the shriek of the Sable Energy weapon and bright red laser pulses filled the air, causing Yuri to crawl on her belly towards the pool table and slip under it, activating her cloak as she hurriedly opened the cylinder on her revolver and replaced the spent rounds. "It taste good you bitch?" sneered the man before he triggered the weapon again while Yuri snapped the cylinder back into place and forced herself to take a breath and be patient. The gunfire soon ceased and was soon followed by a shout of "What the fuck?" that Yuri took as her cue.

One hand gripping the edge of the underside of the table, the Wraith yanked herself out as she activated her jump kit to push her across the floor on her side. Watanabe brought the Rhino up, squeezing the trigger as the started Maggia man took the round in the stomach and doubled over. Yuri's momentum carried her into a wall that she steadied herself against before firing again, this second shot popping the man's head like a grape as Yuri got her feet under her and pushed herself up. "Come on boys! She's fired all six! Rush her!" yelled one, as he emerged, and the Wraith raised her revolver as she saw three more men emerge and follow the first.

The sharp report of the Magnum Revolver stopped the four men dead in their tracks even if only the first one took the bullet and fell forwards. Watanabe sidestepped to her left, trying to get behind one of the small tables as the other three men got over their initial shock and resumed their charge. A second sharp crack echoed through the wrecked bar as a second man fell, clutching his shoulder while the other two men rushed past and the one in front threw himself into the table, knocking it into Yuri as the woman staggered back and the last rusher vaulted over the overturned table. Backpedaling, the Wraith swung her gun, striking the man across the face and causing him to stagger before the Lawwoman went on the offense, throwing a knee into his gut. With the wind knocked out of him and fully doubled over by the blow, the man tried to push through and lunged forward, driving his shoulder into the Wraith, and while there wasn't enough momentum to knock Yuri down, the Maggia man was strong enough to wrap an arm around her and carry her to the bar, slamming the lawwoman into the wooden counter as she hissed in pain and felt her gun slip from her fingers.

Reacting, Yuri brought her elbow down on the back of the man's head, eliciting a howl of pain as he stubbornly kept Watanabe pinned, prompting her to repeat the move before he finally relinquished her. The goon took a step back far enough for Yuri to plant both palms on the bartop and lift herself up before lashing out with both feet, the kick sending the man to the floor as the one who had hit the table charged at the Lawwoman. Reaching down, Yuri picked up a barstool and swung the wooden seat with all her might at the man as he held up his hands to protect his face, only to scream as he got a few broken bones in his arms and hands for his troubles. Not finished, and snarling behind her mask, Yuri planted her foot on the man's knee, knocking him down as she raised the stool above her and slammed it down on his face, shattering his nose. She lifted the barstool and brought it back down, the second strike smashing his mouth and sending blood flying before the Wraith gave the man one more crushing blow, leaving the goon's face a bloody and beaten pulp.

However, the man that she had kicked to the floor got up and stumbled over himself as Yuri looked to where he was going, eyes widening behind her goggles. Jumping over the dead body just as the Maggia enforcer came up with her Rhino as she wrapped her hands around it and the two struggled, grunting and snarling as the muzzle wavered from side to side before Yuri took a step back and let her left hand release the gun and pull it back before extending the dual ripper blades from her gauntlet and ramming them into the man's gut. He let out a blood curdling scream as steel tore through flesh and Yuri wrenched the gun away and silenced the man's scream by shoving the muzzle into his wide-open mouth and peered straight into his open eyes.

"Ever notice how you come across someone once in a while that you really shouldn't have fucked with?" asked the Wraith coolly, causing the man to nod his head weakly as tears flowed from his eyes. "That's me," finished Watanabe before pulling the trigger, blowing out the back of the man's head before she pulled the ripper blades out of his gut and let him fall to the floor, dead, before retracting the bloody blades.

A groan caused Yuri to turn and see the man she had shot in the shoulder writhe around on the floor, cursing under his breath as the Lawwoman took one slow stride toward him, though she couldn't help but hiss under her breath as the adrenaline wore off and the effects of the brutal fight started making themselves known. Her back ached and every step caused her left leg to flare in pain as she looked down at the blood red stain on her pants from the grazing hit she had taken early on. Gritting her teeth, she refocused and bore down on the last living Maggia man in the establishment as he noticed her approach, "No no no, please don't kill me!" he pleaded as Yuri kicked him in the head.

"Then tell me where Hammerhead is," ordered Watanabe in a way that brokered no argument as the man hesitated, looking like he was about to put up some resistance before Yuri pressed the heal of her boot against the gunshot wound as the man grit his teeth, tears welling in his eyes as he screamed out again, "Where's Hammerhead?" demanded Yuri again.

When the man didn't answer, Watanabe pressed harder and drawing more screams before the lawwoman let up, "He…he…he…I don't know where he is!" he wailed pitifully.

Yuri glared down at him when a new voice spoke, "I do."

The Rhino snapped up as Yuri's eyes widened behind her goggles, "You…" she said flatly.

The striped, green helmet with the blue x shaped visor nodded once, "Me," replied the Marauder as Yuri lowered her gun. "Come on, let's go," he beckoned, "Hammerhead ain't gonna kill himself." With that, the Pilot turned and walked back towards the entrance.

Taking a moment to consider her options before making her decision and taking her foot off the man's shoulder. Remorselessly, Yuri lowered the muzzle of the Rhino and pulled the trigger, putting the last round into the man's head before striding after the Marauder.

Mary Jane Watson Research Notes:

'Comeback of the Maggia' – Hammerhead

Hammerhead has become a figure of interest to most in New York following the beginning of the all out gang war that he started. Born Joseph Martello, he was born in the Soviet Union before his family immigrated to Italy after the wall came down. At some point, he joined the Mob and began performing a variety of criminal acts, he was suspected of committing extortion, racketeering, and more. At some point, he was sent to New York to join the Maggia here, but soon after his arrival he was assaulted and badly beaten. It was at this point he received the metal plate in his head that gave Martello his more famous moniker. After that, word is he set about exacting his revenge on the men who had assaulted him, all we know for certain is that his alleged assaulters have never been seen again.

That attracted the attention of the head of the then Montana Family of the New York Maggia, Tony Montana, and Hammerhead began working for him as a Hitman, working his way up and becoming a close confidant of Montana until 'Scarface' passed away in 2010. Hammerhead emerged on top in the ensuing power struggle and rebranded the family under his pseudonym, adopting a 1920s gangster motif.

His reputation as a Don is as bloody as his reputation as a Hitman, known for being the most violent and rash of the heads of the Families. The rise and reign of Hammerhead has been a bloody one, considering his aim has always been to put himself at the very top and ensure that everyone else knows his position. To do that, he has tended to have anyone who stood in his way removed, permanently.

Not only does he know where the bodies are buried, he buried them.

Closing Notes: This was an interesting chapter to write, because the basic premise of the game mission is inherently flawed and I had to do some gold medal worthy mental gymnastics to try and sell the stupid ass idea that is the basis for the convoy mission. It doesn't make much tactical sense, but I don't think that rewriting the whole mission was worth it. Another thing that I had to rework was the conversation between Yuri and Spider-Man after that whole thing had to be tweaked, mainly with help and feedback from V-rcingetorix, so big thanks to him for his help. The way it plays out in game makes Yuri very combative and almost totally break character, at least as far as how I've portrayed her in this story.

But this is the first official appearance of Yuri's comic book alter ego, 'The Wraith' and I'm curious as to how y'all fel about that, especially those who don't play the games. I like the way it turned out, and have plans to bring her closer into line with her comic book depiction, at least in some of her abilities/equipment. Since I'm running out of Dirty Harry lines to give her, I had to resort to Kurt Russell's portrayal of Wyatt Earp in Tombstone and have Yuri bring hell with her. If any of you are willing to give feedback, right now I'm toying with the idea of giving Yuri her own standalone spin off after I finish Power Without Question, right now the idea is to use a comic book villain and base the whole thing off one of my favorite classic films. Does that sound interesting in anyway and worth developing further?

Leave feedback on that question, or anything else as always. Next chapter will be up in two weeks, so Save My Soul.

Stay Frosty, Misfit Delta out.
