Now we see Cynder's ending to wrap up this Intros Series entry. Let's do this!
Cynder's Ending
I don't know how Kronika heard of me, but she was probably expecting some perfect soldier like the Terror of the Skies. Well, that's not what she got. That much is for sure. The blood from her severed neck running down my claws proves that.
Now the Hourglass was mine to command. I would not let another tyrant like Kronika destroy the lives of others. I vowed to make sure of that. So I set up the timeline so that every last one of them would fall. Shao Kahn, Shinnok, Quan Chi, Shang Tsung, all of them would fall and fall hard. But I've seen infinite timelines. I know what they're capable of. So I'm not just going to let them get away as easily as dying would do.
Spyro would probably kill me for doing this, but what he doesn't know won't hurt him. After each version of those monsters dies, they're pulled from the timeline and sent to the Keep. Even after returning to the Dragon Realms, I still find excuses to sneak back here and commence Phase 2 of my plans. Torturing these vile souls for all countless eternities. Putting each through every last torture Malefor put me through for the first nine years of my life. And if I could, I'd pull his soul into this endless torment as well.
Was this strictly necessary? No. But after all the misery I've been put through in my life, it feels kind of good to take my frustrations out on these irredeemable villains. As for Kronika's power? I gave it up to automate this process for me. No longer will they torment the innocent. Let them be tormented instead, for it's all they deserve. I'm just happy to start the process of true justice.
And that wrap's up Cynder's ending. Yes, this may be a little out of character for her, heck it's a lot out of character probably, but I felt like since this is Mortal Kombat, Cynder's earned a little retribution for what happened to her. That's why this was the first ending I designed. And with that, we wrap up Mortal Kombat. It feels good to actually finish one of these again, considering Overwatch, the MCU, Soul Calibur, and Smash Ultimate all still have material for a Part II. Those are in the works by the way, I just haven't fit them into my editing schedule yet. So with that, as we gaze into the endless sands of the Hourglass, this is Dragon of Mystery, signing out.
