"How did it go?" Nico asked us.
"Ugh," I said.
"Let's just say that Jamie has changed," Damian said, placing his arm around my shoulders. I always thought it was weird when he did that, I'm about a foot and a half shorter than him so he could have easily rested his arm on my head, but why the shoulders?
"Also, I thought you were going to wait outside Jamie's house for us?" I told Nico, crossing my arms.
"Eh. Do you know what my dad's going to make you do yet?" He asked.
"No, I hope it's not too bad though."
As if right on cue, a skeleton, who was probably a butler, walked in. "Lord Hades would like to see you and your companions, dark prince," he said.
"Thanks," Nico said, he turned to me "Well, I guess we're about to find out."
We walked back out into the throne room of Hades' palace right behind the skeleton butler who had retrieved us.
"I wonder what he's going to make you do," Damian whispered, having to bend down to reach my ear.
"Yeah."
Once we reached the throne room again I noticed that Persephone now sat on her throne as well, I got a sinking feeling.
"Now don't look so down child," Persephone said softly, she turned to Hades, "Now, tell her."
"Fine, I kept my part of the deal, now you must keep yours," he said, I gulped, he glanced back at Persephone, "Can't you tell her?"
"All right," Persephone turned to me, "Because my husband wants to be so difficult, I'll just tell you. Now, I told Hades not to make you do anything rash, so we came to a decision. You must defeat every single giant that was in the clan that captured you. You don't have to do it now, you could do it in a week, a day, whenever. But what's important is that it gets done. Those giants cost us a lot, capturing you is just one of many times that they have caused havoc at Olympus."
"I was probably going to do that anyway," I whispered. "I'll do it," I said louder.
"Good, now you better get back, there is a small army of monsters that are soon to attack your camp," Persephone said, "it was good to see you out of that ice."
And with that, they disappeared. More like we disappeared. I opened my eyes which I hadn't realized I had closed to see us standing in the middle of Sally's living room while everyone stared at us.
"So how did it go?" Sally said, looking back down at that paper she had been reading.
"I don't want to talk about it," I complained.
"Well, we got Coral all packed up, she should be playing with Estelle in their room," Sally said.
"Thanks," I sighed. I walked into Estelle and Coral's room to see the two of them coloring in coloring books. "Hey, your back!" Coral said as she got up and walked over to me.
I picked her up as she reached me. "Yeah."
"I'm guessing it didn't go well?" Coral said.
"Yeah."
"I'm not surprised," she said, "He became angry once left, he wasn't himself when he left us, he was reckless and mean."
"Why didn't you tell me?" I said, starting to feel my eyes sting.
She just shrugged. "Anyway, can we go to Camp now, I miss seeing Katie and everyone, especially Chiron."
"Yeah." I grabbed all of Coral's stuff, which wasn't a lot, and walked into the living room with Coral close behind.
"Leaving so soon?" Sally said, putting her paper down.
"Yeah, while we were down there, Persephone told us that there was going to be a small attack on camp soon, and I need to be there."
"It's almost Midnight!" Sally exclaimed.
"The monsters don't care," I laughed, "Plus, I haven't been able to help or do anything for five years, I need to get some of this energy out."
Soon after, we all filed into the van once more and sped off to camp.
Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed, this is probably going to be my last chapter for today, but I'm going to try and post two chapters tomorrow.
