Nowhere and Nothing

When the call came through, Furuichi had half a mind to ignore it. The other, excited half, couldn't help itself, but it didn't mean the silvernette wasn't still angry.

"...Hello?"
Oga blinked, opened his mouth then found he hadn't thought of something to say.

"Erm...hi."

Each second of silence added more to the chasm of emotional distance between them.

"So...what are you doing?"

"...Nothing…"

Oga winced at his own stupid question. Ruffling his dark hair and mentally cursing the sunshine, Oga tried to start over. "Where are you?"

"...Nowhere…"

"What do you mean 'nowhere'? How's that physically possible?"

Bristling from the outburst, Furuichi bit back, "What does it matter to you what I'm doing or where I am? You don't seem to care about me or my feelings if you can find yourself another lover at a moment's notice!"

"Stop being such a girl! I'm calling right now, aren't I?"

"...Screw you, bastard. Go die."

Oga kicked the nearest trashcan and wished he could beat himself up. The brunet wished he could turn back time, to do everything over. Just so that the brunet would never have to hear the sound of Furuichi's voice and heart break.
