We didn't even need to get close to camp to tell that there was a small army attacking. Actually, 'small' was an understatement.
Connor had rolled down the window and we could hear the fighting half a mile away. "Nico! Stop the van!" I yelled.
"What? Why?" He asked, turning around.
"I'm getting out," I said, unbuckling my seat belt and heading for the door.
"Wait, you're not going out there alone are you?" Damian said, grabbing my wrist before it could get to the handle of the door.
"I mean, you're more than welcome to come with me, but that either means your stupid or you underestimate me," I said.
"Well then, I guess we're all stupid," Travis said standing up, "'Cause we're going with you." I couldn't help but smile at this.
I looked back to where Coral was softly sleeping. "Nico, make sure she gets back safely, and if there is one scratch on her ENTIRE BODY, you're going to help me make dinner for the entire camp."
"Fine," Nico said, rolling his eyes.
And with that, all of us except for Will, Nico, and Coral hopped out of the van.
"Nice threat," Damian said, rolling his eyes as Nico sped away.
"Thank you," I smiled.
"So what's the plan?" He then asked.
"I'm gonna go in there and kick some major butt," I stated, lifting myself off the ground.
"Wait! That's not a plan!" Damian yelled.
"Sure it is, it's my plan!" I yelled back.
"Well… just…be careful!"
I rolled my eyes. "Stop worrying about me and fight!"
I pulled out καλοσύνη and its blade reflected off the light my body was producing. I sped towards the fighting in the dark, and I could see figures fighting at the edge of the hill. I couldn't see much, but I could tell that the campers were trying their best to keep the monsters out.
I watched as the campers kept on fighting. But it wasn't enough, a small giant had gotten past them and was stomping up the hill. I got angry, I will forever have a grudge against all giants, and this one is trying to get into my camp.
I sent my sword flying. Using my ability to control things, I took my sword and sliced the giant in half, causing it to burst into dust. I could hear a slight cheer come from the camp.
I slowly started towards the ground. My feet gently touched the ground and about half the army turned towards me. With my eyes blazing, I looked across them. Suddenly hundreds of monsters charged at me. Cyclops', small giants, hellhounds, and several others.
I slowly lowered my sword and stabbed it into the ground. I raised my hands, one black, one gold. I clapped them together sending bright black and gold light everywhere. I don't know why I did that but I just knew I needed to.
Once the light had cleared, there was no army. Just… dust, blowing in the wind. I collapsed to my knees and took a deep breath. It must have taken a bunch of my energy to do that because I could no longer stand up.
A few minutes later, Damian had finally reached me. "What in Hades was that?" He asked, picking me up.
"Not sure, it just felt right, I felt like I needed to do that."
"Well… are you okay?"
"I'm fine Damian, it just drained my energy. Agh, I don't think I'll be able to do that again, it took all that energy that had been stored up in me for five years to do that," I sighed. "Huh, is it okay if I just sleep right here?" I said with a yawn.
Damian laughed, "I guess..."
"Thanks-,"
Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed it. I don't know if I'll be able to get two chapters out today, I couldn't think of anything until now and it's pretty late where I live.
