A/N: since I think that I was grasping at straws on Game of Life, I decided to document the supposed events that can support this pairing.

Chapter 8: Fear [part 3]

And now, Rukia found herself, seating behind Byakuya as they had visited Hisana's shrine.

This would be the first time, she would ever get to see, her sister's photo.

And she realized, indeed…

It could have been her picture, for everything about them is too similar.

At this thought, Rukia could not help but feel guilty, somehow.

Guilty for the feelings that had been awakened, and emotions she had denied for so long.

Now that she had regained her memories, her feelings for Byakuya, came crashing down on her along with her attraction to him.

And thus, she tried her best to avoid him, as much as possible.

Knowing from the beginning that he adopted her because she looks like his late wife.

Thinking back then, how painful it must have been for him to lose his wife of 5 years, and thus find comfort in keeping a look alike.

She had even absurdly assumed that he was a pervert.

But clearly, he is too noble for such conduct.

And thus, she had kept a respectable distant, and tried her best not to resemble his late wife.

And when she found out the truth about her sister, she felt an insurmountable gratitude towards him. And she opened up to him, trying her best to consider him, as her own brother.

But, her heart has a mind of its own…

And was stupid enough to be attracted to him…

Thinking how lucky her sister was, to have the love of such a man.

She had even thought…

What would it feel to marry someone like Byakuya. If there is anyone like him, at all.

But then, her memory has been regained through the aid of the vice-captain of the 4th squad, Isane Kotetsu.

And she realized, that he was her first love, and that he had been dropping hints since the beginning, but she had not understood it, back then.

She even absurdly thought that….

Maybe, he had looked for her, after they parted, and thus found her sister instead.

But the missed opportunity, and the turn of destiny for the both of them, wasn't favorable…

Since now…

They are not allowed to be together.

For he is.. her brother in law.

And brother by law.

And she must.

Know her place…
