The first thing I saw when I woke up was Will standing over me with a clipboard, like usual.
"Hey Will," I said softly, leaning up.
"Hey." He kept scribbling on the clipboard. Once he saw me staring at him, he put it down. "So uh, what happened yesterday?" He asked.
"Not quite sure," I said, "it felt right so I did it."
"Well, it took a lot of your energy, I suggest not doing that again," he explained.
"Trust me, I couldn't do that again if I wanted to," I rolled my eyes.
"Hey, she's awake!" The Stoll's yelled as they ran up to me.
"Heh, I see you guys haven't changed much in five years," I laughed.
"Anyways," Travis said, "Coral's with Katie right now-,"
"And Damian is training at the arena," Connor finished.
"Cool," I waited until Will walked away, "Hey, how about the CTT do something tonight?"
The brothers' faces lit up. "You mean it!" They whisper-yelled.
"Yes, now, it's your guys' job to come up with something, I'm going to go get Coral and maybe see how Damian's doing," I said.
"YES!" The Stoll's yelled as they ran out of the infirmary.
"The CTT huh?" Someone said beside me.
I quickly turned to see Nico standing there. "So that's who was behind all those pranks that were pulled, to this day no one knows who did them," Nico laughed.
"Don't you dare tell anyone!" I whispered, "How else do you think I'm able to keep those two under control?!"
"By pranking people along with them?"
"Yes, now shush!"
"Fine, your secret's safe with me," Nico said, "But, people are going to suspect it's you, I mean one of these mysterious pranks haven't been played since you were here, now all of a sudden you come back and so do those pranks."
"I'll just deny it, they can't prove anything, I'm very careful when it comes to pranks."
"Ha, I'll say. Even the Athena kids couldn't figure out who did it, drove them crazy."
"Okay, well, thanks for bringing Coral back safely."
"No problem." He then walked out the infirmary door.
I didn't even wait until Will got back to tell me I could leave, I just left. I walked around for a little while looking for Katie and Coral. Most people ignored me but a few came up to talk to me and welcome me back.
This place looked so different than five years ago, everyone was always ready for battle and no one was having fun. Right then and there, it's like camp wasn't a safe, fun place for demigods anymore. I promised that I would return camp to its former glory.
What broke me out of my thoughts was a laugh that was close to a sneer. "He always gets the girl, doesn't he?"
I didn't have to turn around to see who said that. It was Devan. "Hello Devan," I snarled.
"What? You don't want to turn around to see your future boyfriend," he remarked.
"No boyfriend of mine would ever act like that," I said, finally turning to see him, my hands on my hips and my eyes burning with hate. He hadn't even changed a bit.
"Go ahead, Trish, use your curse," he smiled.
"No, you're not worth my energy," I smiled back.
"Trish!" I heard Damian yell.
I turned around and smiled, for real this time. "Hey," I said as he ran up to me.
"Hey! Don't ignore me," Devan said angrily, "This guy isn't worth your time."
"So you finally woke up," Damian sarcastically said.
"DON'T IGNORE ME!"
"Ha Ha. How long was I asleep?" I asked Damian as Devan kept yelling in the background.
"Hmm, almost two days."
"Wow, not too bad."
"Not too bad! It was two days!"
"Eh, I've slept for longer."
"What?"
"Yeah, I'm surprised I wasn't out for an entire week, that trick took more energy than anything I have ever done."
"Well, I'm glad you weren't asleep that long, I would have missed you," Damian bent down and smiled at me. I just stuck my tongue out.
"Anyway, do you know where Coral is?"
"Yeah she's-," that's when Devan came up and punched Damian in the jaw. It probably hurt Devan more than it hurt Damian.
"Hey!" I yelled at Devan who was now clenching his teeth and holding his fist.
Damian started towards Devan but I stopped him. Damian looked at me confused and I just nodded.
I walked up to Devan. I stared at him. Clenched my fist, and punched him straight in the nose. Devan fell backward while Damian smiled behind me. "You know, I would have thought you learned your lesson the first time, but of course you're so full of it, you had no room for your brain!" I snarked.
"Yeah!" Damian cheered, "That's my girl!"
"Hey!" I said turning towards Damian, his expression turning from overjoyed to scared, "I am no one's 'girl'!"
"Okay, I'm sorry," Damian said, his smiles automatically coming back.
"Now, where is Coral, we were kind of, you know, disturbed," I said staring at Devan who was now trying to scramble away.
"Oh, yeah, she's helping Katie in the strawberry fields, they're trying to get them replanted."
"Hm, maybe I'll be able to help. Come on."
