AN: Happy Easter or Resurrection Day of the Pesach/Passover Week, and we're using a song from the Dreamworks Movie, "Joseph - King of Dreams". This is a prequel from "Prince of Egypt", which is the biblical story of Joseph, son of Jacob/Israel. The story of being a specially favored child from a family of multiple siblings which caused envy and rivalry. This lead for Joseph's predicament that made him slave to Egypt. But his gifts were not wasted as he excels even as a slave and this gift promoted him as Pharaoh's secretary/second-in-command. It's a beautifully made story of envy, diversity in capabilities, betrayal, trials and success, and of course; forgiveness and letting go. This song is one with a very good lesson of being open to any opportunities and being able to give it all. Without further ado, leave a like, review/request, follow and I hope you enjoy. God Bless, Stay Safe and Peace/Shalom!
-Music Start-
[VERSE 1 LINCOLN: JOSEPH]
A boy looks up
And sees a golden gift of chance
To prove his worth
And make the best of what might seem
A dire circumstance
[PRE-CHORUS LINCOLN: JOSEPH]
Onward and onward the slow and steady climb
Task upon task that can lift him
To the summit over time
[CHORUS 1 LINCOLN: JOSEPH]
You've got to take whatever road's at your feet
You've got to make whatever progress you can
Although the map you hold is far from complete
You've got to take whatever road's at your feet
[Instrumental Interlude]
[VERSE 2 LINCOLN: JOSEPH]
A single voice is joined by multitudes in song,
With every verse they're finding harmonies
That rise to Heaven sure and strong.
Richer and richer the soil on which they thrive,
and higher a hymn of what it means to be alive
[CHORUS 2 LINCOLN: JOSEPH]
You've got to give a little more than you take,
You've got to leave a little more than was here,
You may be prideful of the strides you will make,
But keep one thing clear,
You're just a player in a much bigger plan,
And still you have to give it all that you can,
The very measure of your soul is at stake,
You've got to give a little more than you take,
[VERSE 3 STELLA & LINCOLN: ASENATH - ASENATH & JOSEPH]
The seasons fly, a man stands where a boy once stood,
His path unfolds and unafraid he walks
in service of a greater good,
Deeper and deeper the lessons he has known,
Over and over the message he is surely being shown
[CHORUS 2 LINCOLN & STELLA: JOSEPH & ASENATH]
You've got to give a little more than you take,
You've got to leave a little more than was here,
You may be prideful of the strides you will make,
But keep one thing clear,
You're just a player in a much bigger plan,
And still you have to give it all that you can,
[POST-CHORUS LINCOLN & STELLA: JOSEPH & ASENATH]
The very measure of your soul is at stake,
You've got to give a little more than you take.
-Instrumental until Music End-
Lincoln: Happy Easter, everyone!
PiroBal: And Happy Pesach/Passover Week too! I'm happy that a lot of you stick with us in this solemn week of forgiveness, love, second chances and freedom.
Lincoln: And even after the horrible things that happened due to crisis and pandemic, you all survived and you all didn't give up. You gave it your all and best. Be proud of yourself, but not arrogant.
PiroBal: And if you're holding on to some grievances, forgive and love them. Let go of this toxic hatred. Be humble but not weak.
Lincoln: As for us here, we'll do what we can and give it all more that we get!
PiroBal: Peace be with you all! God bless! Know you are loved!
-END-
AN: That's the end of the Pesach/Passover (or Easter) Week of 2021! I'm glad to be able to stick along with the ride despite the problems we face. We stood strong and carried our burdens and crosses and strive to live and love. Let us remember these days of healing, humility, forgiveness and love.
As it was written: "Love thy neighbor as yourself". If you are facing hardship, know that you are loved and deserve love. Strive on being better than yesterday. Or keep up the pace and you'll get there someday.
Once again, Thanks you, leave a like, review/request, follow and I hope you enjoy. God Bless, Stay Safe and Peace/Shalom!
