Place: A Hospital Delivery Room

Situation: Alex's birth (occurring two months early)

The doctor (putting Joy's feet in the stirrups): The birth is imminent. The baby has a heart defect. Nicu nurses are on stand by.

Joy (struggling through painful contractions): I am not ready for this. It is way too early. I must push anyway.

Conrad (squeezing Joy's hand): I love you so much

Joy (holding the bedrailings and pushing): AHA..AHA..AHA

Conrad (rubbing Joy's stomach): Keep on pushing, honey. We will see our little princess very soon.
