Loonatics: United

World of Chaos

Episode 93: The second heist

The Loonatics had returned to the apartment, Tech was covering Rev´s wound with his signature healing gauze in the living room. Ace and the others were standing among them, as well as Susan and her parents. "Who would´ve thought we would run into those guys here." Ace said, sighing while crossing his arms. "It seems that trouble follows us everywhere we go."

"Oh, it´s not your fault at all, dear." Sylvia placed a hand on Ace´s arm reassuringly.

"A hero´s job has no schedule." Declan added. "We´re all blessed in this city, having you here."

"Thanks." Ace replied.

"That won´t be their last scheme, that´s for sure." Lexi said. "We´ll be ready for anything."

"It seems that Alumia isn´t that suitable for vacations after all." Susan commented.

"Are you kidding? These things let me stay in shape." Duck thundered his fingers. "Who doesn´t love to kick the bad guys´ tails anyway?"

"Alright." Tech finished wrapping Rev´s leg with the gauze. "You´re good to go, pal."

Rev stood up from the couch he had been sitting on, gasping a bit by the pain in his injured leg. "Thanks, man."

Tech chuckled. "Just don't ask too much of it and you'll be fine in no time." He stood up while patting Rev´s shoulder.

Alfons and the rest of the Chaos Warriors were in their headquarters, an old looking building, with ventilation fans on the ceiling, brick walls and a lot of industrial stuff laying here and there, several stolen property, as well as just plain garbage. They were in the living room, the team sat down over a set of old holey couches while Alfons walked around, letting out screams of rage. "Those idiotic pieces of..!" He put his hands to his head. "They always have to interfere, don´t they?!"

The others just stood silent, not wanting to aggravate his mood. Lydia waited for Alfons to let go all of his rage, then she spoke. "The fuel cells, boss. With the earnings we´ll get from that one..." She shrugged. "...we´ll forget about this little...stumble."

Alfons was inhaling and exhaling deeply, clenching his fist and frowning. "Yes." He slowly began to get a bit calmer. "That won´t stop me. No one will stop me, not even those clowns." He looked at his team and walked towards them. He scratched his chin while thinking. "The warehouse is highly secured...but that won´t be a problem, given our abilities." Alfons nodded after his own statement. "Alright, let's go over the plan again. Then we go."

Later on, the Chaos Warriors got in their ship and headed to their next target, armed and ready to strike. Lydia piloted, while the rest were in the backside of the ship, just sitting and waiting. "You nervous?" Halley asked Regina, they were sitting together.

Regina chuckled softly. "You know I always are." She rubbed her arm.

Halley placed a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, just think in all the money we are gonna get after this."

"Yeah, it´s exciting. I think I´m gonna spend my part on some good, long vacations." Regina replied.

"Oh, the beaches of Paralies, I guess." Halley guessed, smirking at her while raising an eyebrow.

Regina nodded. "Mhm." She smirked at him and took his hand.

"Are you planning to go alone?" Halley inquired, making her blush and chuckle.

"Of course not." Regina winked at him.

Uthman was talking with Asher. "Do you remember our little heist at toller 354?"

Asher chuckled. "How could I forget that, man. I was still a rookie back then, I thought it was going to be my last one." He shook his head. "Those cops were tough, to be honest."

"They weren´t that tough, you just were too inexpert." Uthman chuckled. "You owe me for saving your tail that day."

Asher raised an eyebrow. "Oh, I thought that debt was paid at the incident in the moon of Lamperos."

"Oh, are you kidding me?" Uthman let out a loud chuckle. "I got everything under control, I was going to blow up the base anyway."

"With you inside?" Asher inquired jokingly.

Uthman sighed. "Alright, alright, maybe you helped a bit that day."

Landon was leaning on one of the walls, as well as Alfons. "Boss."

Alfons was glaring away. "Yes?"

"How long until 'The Great Assault'?" Landon inquired.

Alfons looked at him, staying silent for a long moment. "Soon, Landon." He glared away again, getting thoughtful and with a look of conviction and purpose. "Soon."

The stars covered the night sky over Alumia, the Chaos Warriors had reached their destination. Lydia lowered down the ship and got it just above the rooftop of a huge warehouse. "The plan is simple." Alfons looked at Halley, Regina and Landon. "You and I will strike from the front." He glared at Uthman and Asher, who were standing next to the now open ramp of the ship. "You two will enter from here, we´ll meet inside. If one group gets in trouble, the other will get as much fuel cells as possible, and after that happens, Lydia will come for us." He looked at Lydia, who gave him a nod while holding the steering wheel of the ship.

"Understood." Uthman said, Asher and him hopped out from the ship and landed over the rooftop of the warehouse, Lydia then flew away towards the warehouse´s main entrance.

Lydia rapidly lowered down the ship again, this time getting it over the street that faced the warehouse´s facade. Halley, Landon and Regina jumped out from it, followed by Alfons. Lydia flew away from the place, in wait for the plan´s development and Alfons´ command. "Goodnight, gentlemen!" Alfons rushed towards the security booth and shot a rocket at it, the armed guards that came out from it could only yell briefly until the rocket hit the small building, making it explode in pieces, therefore killing the guards instantly. A noisy alarm began to sound and several squadrons of guards came out from the warehouse´s inside while shooting at Alfons and company.

Lexi´s ear twitched, she gasped and woke up then rapidly got out of her sleeping bag, in order to go put on her bodysuit. Susan woke up and looked at Lexi with a glare of surprise. "Lexi?"

"I´m hearing trouble." Lexi took her bodysuit from her bag. "Could you wake the others?"

Meanwhile, Uthman and Landon were inside the warehouse, which was barely illuminated by the dim lights on the ceiling. Asher had become invisible while Uthman had his waterjet ready to shoot, holding the pistol while taking careful steps and glaring around. "Right there!" Asher whispered.

"I can´t see your freaking finger, Ash!" Uthman mumbled with a frown.

"Oh, right. Next to those huge servers in the corner." Asher replied.

Uthman looked at the servers then noticed that the fuel cells were stacked next to them as Asher had told him. "What a good eye, pal. Come on." His ear was twitching constantly by the shooting noises from the outside. Uthman rushed towards the fuel cells, followed by Asher.

Alfons was punching and kicking the guards with the great strength of the mech suit, killing them with a single hit, Regina burned them with her flame thrower while dodging their shots, Halley made them vanish in mere molecule dust with the charges of his weapon. Another squadron of guards ran towards him with their weapons ready. "The heck?!" Halley expressed with desperation as his rifle had started to cool down, so he was not able to use it temporarily. "Hey! A bit of help here?!"

Landon arrived immediately after Halley´s call for aid and got right before him, aiming his sonic gloves at the guards. "No problem." Landon said with a cocky smirk while shooting sound waves at the guards, sending them far away from them. The guards fell to the ground, severely injured by the powerful sonic waves.

Halley sighed with relief after his weapon finished cooling down, looking at Landon with a grateful smirk. "Thanks, man."

"Chaos reigns." Landon nodded at him.

Halley nodded back. "Chaos reigns."

Alfons let out a shout of victory. "Take that, ladies!" He looked at his team and gestured at the warehouse. "Come on! Let´s take those cells and get the heck out of here!" Alfons destroyed the door with a rocket. After the smoke dissipated, he and his group entered the warehouse. They saw Uthman putting the fuel cells inside a rugged box. "Nice and smooth, team." Alfons chuckled and walked towards him, followed by the rest.

"Where´s Asher?" Regina inquired, approaching the stack of cells and starting to carry some of them.

"Here!" Asher was right next to her but he was invisible, Regina just saw the cells floating there so she let out a scream of fright and jumped.

"Eep!" Regina sighed and shook her head. "You scared the heck out of me, Asher!"

"It´s not my fault." Asher said with a disinterested tone.

"Alright, alright, just take ev..." Alfons´ ear twitched when hearing sounds of jetpacks and steps right behind them. He turned and adopted a frown of hatred, rage and disbelief towards the five heroes that stood in front of him. Rev had stayed at the apartment as his leg was still healing." "What the hell?! No!"

"Are we late to the party?" Ace inquired while raising an eyebrow cockily.

"Kill them all! Kill them now!" Alfons shot a rocket at them, and with that, the battle started.
