Okay, here's chapter 93, and truth be told, this might be the craziest chapter yet.
One look at its title should tell you why.
But first, let's answer some reviews:
1) Nobody245: It was bound to happen, sorry.
2) Mysterious Mr M: I read your theory, and it's very interesting. Let's see if my obviously pre-planned story debunks it XD
3) Observant Guest: Yeah, this one's intense, but in a particularly different way...
And now, to the chapter!
Episode 93: The True Original World?! Lily in the Primordial Reality!
There were many places Lily expected to end up once she executed her Requiem: Purgatory, the Elysium Fields, maybe she'd even manage to bypass the Orange chains and go straight to either Heaven or Hell. Hopefully the former.
However, instead, she found herself standing in the middle of the Loud House backyard, with who looked like Lori, Leni, and Carol forming a giant barrier around her, with them collapsing soon after, just in time for the sky to return to its glorious, sunny state.
Then, she scanned around until she spotted another interesting sight: lookalikes of her sisters, as well as Lincoln... with the intact Loud House behind them.
"No way!" Lily chirped, ignoring the siblings and heading straight to the house. "It's back?! And it's good as new!"
"Damn, dude, Lincoln gave birth to a pre-teen Lily?" the Luna lookalike asked in disbelief.
"With someone that big inside of him, no wonder he had so much trouble giving birth," the Lisa lookalike said, adjusting her glasses. "I mean, you know, besides the fact he's a boy trying to-"
"We know!" the siblings interjected.
Then, remembering the exhausted blonde trio
"So, this is the reality before every other reality," Lily smiled. "The Primordial Reality."
"The Primordial Reality..." Primordial Luna flashed a thumbs up. "Sounds like an epic rock band name, dude!"
"But wait, if this is just the "Primordial" reality, then how many realities are there?!" Primordial Lynn asked. "And how did you even get here? Where did you come from?"
"And please, don't say you came from Lincoln's womb," Primordial Luan stated. "We're being serious here."
The primordial comedian waited to hear either her siblings laugh or cringe at her statement, but when nothing happened, she whined:
"Guys, I was joking! This is the part where you laugh, or cringe, or something!"
"Well, the only question I can answer is the one about where I come from," Lily said. "And to that, I'll let you know I'm from the New Reality, which is the successor of the Original or Prototype Reality, which is the reality that comes after this one."
The Primordials stared idly for a minute until Primordial Lisa adjusted her glasses, saying:
"That makes sense."
"Wait, it does?" Primordial Lincoln asked.
"Not really, no, but I believe that's the only explanation we can count on right now."
"Yeah, please do, because I actually really need your help with something," Lily said. "Although, if you're still tired from the whole... whatever just happened-"
"Actually, I think feel fine," Primordial Lincoln scratched his head. "But just to be safe, I think we should head inside before we do anything else."
Lily nodded in agreement, and followed the Louds inside, where two familiar people waited for them at the kitchen.
"Mom! Dad!"
Lily ran up to her parents' lookalikes and hugged them, the couple exchanging confused looks while Primordial Lucy said:
"Sorry to break it to you, Future Lily, but those aren't your parents. They're ours."
Realizing her mistake, Lily sheepishly smiled and backed away from the confused couple.
"Sorry, I haven't seen my parents since... nevermind, doesn't matter."
"Uh, kids," Primordial Rita asked. "Why is there an older Lily here?"
"It's a very long story," Primordial Lisa sighed. "All you need to know is that she's here, and she's friendly."
"Yeah!" Lily chirped with the goofiest smile she could muster.
The parents exchanged worried looks as the primordials and Lily walked to the living room, where the visitor from the future spun around while checking the room.
"Wow! It's just like the original house!" Lily crouched down and touched the carpet. "Even down to the mysterious stains on the carpet!"
"Actually, those are recent," Primordial Lynn pointed out. "And they're not really mysterious: our Lily fell asleep drooled all over it."
Lily winced and stood back up, wiping her hand before she realized something:
"Say, I haven't seen my counterpart anywhere. Is she sleeping?"
"Yeah, she's in her room," Primordial Lori folded her arms. "But there's no way we're letting you go see her: she's a very light sleeper."
"I wasn't planning to see her, I just wanted to know where she was," Lily scratched her chin. "Although, now that you mention it, I wouldn't mind taking a quick look at the rooms."
"Umm..." Primordial Leni tilted her head. "Why?"
"Just a little curiosity, and also, I wanna see how different this place is from the future house," Lily skipped to the staircase. "I mean, I forgot a lot of things, but I should remember the house just fine "
"Why's that?" Primordial Luna asked. "What happened to the house where you come from?"
Lily frowned slightly for a moment... then walked upstairs, leaving the worried Primordials behind.
It didn't take long before she reached upstairs, and once she did, Lily was swarmed by a barrage of familiar sensations, with very faint memories of simpler times...
Which ended in the most important memory: the one detailing how she got here in the first place.
"Okay, so, I have an idea as to how we can change everything for the better," Harriet started. "But it's a very risky move."
"That's fine by me," Lily folded her arms. "So long as it gives us a chance to make things better around here."
Harriet reached for her back, and took out a ticket, which she handed to a perplexed Lily as she asked:
"Have you ever heard of the Primordial Reality?"
Lily rolled her eyes. "Let me guess, it's a reality that existed before the Original Reality?"
"I know it must be exhausting to hear about yet another alternate reality, but I assure you, this one is most definitely necessary-"
"And the Xeno Reality isn't?" Lily folded her arms. "I mean, without it, there would be no prototypes for my sisters to synthetize with."
"Please stay focused."
"Sorry..."
"The Primordial Reality is the reality that came before any of the other realities. If the Original Reality is meant to serve as a prototype to our reality, then the Primordial Reality serves the same purpose for it."
"So it's the prototype of the prototype? That seems a little redundant."
"I'm not saying it isn't, but what matters is how we can use that to our advantage," Harriet clasped her hands. "See, since the Primordial Reality existed before the Original Reality, and this before this continuity, that means that the rules of the Original Reality doesn't affect it."
"Since they existed before those rules?"
"Bingo."
"And I'm assuming that just as how the Original Reality has counterparts to my family, so does the Primordial Reality?"
"Yup."
"But I still don't get it, what role does the Primordial Reality play in all of this?" Lily eyed her ticket. "And what does this ticket do, anyway?"
"There are many different places to go after death: Purgatory, Heaven, Hell, and so on and so forth. With that ticket, you'll get to revive instantly... but it'll be on the Primordial Reality."
Lily's eyes widened. "Wait, you can do that?"
"I'm the grim reaper, the concept of death itself is under my command until Lucy's ready to take the mantle," Harriet lowered her eyelids. "Regardless, once you snap the ticket in two, it's effect should take place."
Lily frowned. "And then I'll have to die..."
Harriet hopped off where she sat and walked to Lily, putting a hand on her shoulder as she said:
"Sometimes, we gotta do the ultimate sacrifice if we want things to get better."
With that said, and with a reassuring look from Harriet, Lily grabbed the edges of the ticket, and torn it in half.
"Now that I think about it, maybe I was a bit too hasty in accepting that plan," Lily folded her arms. "How am I supposed to convince the primordials to help me?"
"That might be easier than you think."
Lily flinched and jumped, taking a defensive stance before she turned around and spotted the source:
It was Proto-Lily, acting as a reflection in a mirror.
"Proto-Me?" Lily walked to the reflection. "What are you doing inside that mirror? Actually, what's a mirror even doing in the hallway? I don't remember one being there in-"
"Stay focused, please."
"Sorry. Were you saying?"
"I didn't get the chance to tell you about my true nature, what with Sincoln coming in and getting everyone's attention," Proto-Lily rolled her eyes. "What the Primordials said about their Lily... they're not right."
Lily glowed for a moment before splitting in two, with the other half turning into a baby Lily...
"Wait, is this-?!"
"Your Primordial counterpart," Proto-Lily finished as Lily grabbed her Primordial self and lifted her. "I was actually created by mixing your Xeno and Primordial counterparts, since your Prototype doesn't really exist anymore... at least, not in the way she used to."
"I'll have to ask you about that later, because right now," Lily faced her Prototype. "I need an idea on how to convince the Primordials to help me."
Proto-Lily gestured her counterpart to come closer, and she obliged, listening carefully as the reflection whispered something to her...
"So, wait a minute, going by what you just said..." Primordial Lisa hummed, pondering what was the best way to put it. "Lincoln gave birth to an undead time traveler?"
Lily was understandably annoyed. "I just told you I come from the future, and that I synthetized with your Lily to get here, AND that my Lincoln is being kept prisoner by his prototype, AND I need your help to release him so he can take his rightful place back, and the only thing that stuck with you is that I'm technically undead?!"
"Hey, in my defense, what you just said was one giant "wait, what?" in verbal form," Primordial Lisa responded. "But, now that you mention it, that definitely seems like a problem."
"I know, right?!" Lily frowned. "So, could you help me free my brother?"
"Well, the thing is, we don't know how to get to that future reality you're talking about," Primordial Luan replied. "I mean, I guess I could take us there, but I'm nowhere near skilled enough to do that."
"And with the way my powers work, I'd need to have been to that reality before in order to open a portal there."
Lily frowned. "But then, that would leave only one possible person left."
Everybody faced Primordial Lincoln, who looked around before pointing at himself with a skeptical look.
"You're the god above all gods, Lincoln," Primordial Lori stated. "If there's someone here who can do something as impossible as opening a portal to a dimension far in the future, it's you."
"B-But just like what Luan said, none of us have refined our control over our powers!" Primordial Lincoln argued. "What happens if I take us to the wrong era?"
"Then we try again, and if that fails, try once more," Lily answered. "You're a Lincoln. Not only do they never give up, but they can always manage to turn the tables to their favor!"
Primordial Lincoln frowned. "You really think I can do that?"
Lily smiled brightly. "I know you can."
Primordial Lincoln looked at his sisters, who nodded in agreement, and with newfound confidence, he sighed:
"Okay, but there's something I wanna know first."
Lily blinked twice. "Ask away?"
"You said that there's a second Lincoln taking over your Lincoln's place as a ruler, and that he's made things worse, not better. What exactly did he do?"
Lily winced, looking elsewhere as she frowned and sweated nervously.
"W-Well..."
