The remaining Pandora and E-Pandora looked up into the sky; white orbs of light rained down from the sky.
Sun Lee and his Pandora platoon had just finished the last remaining Nova when they saw the light orbs raining down.
"W-What the fuck ARE these things?!" asked an angered Rocky.
"I-I don't know," whispered Kazuha.
"I do," whispered Satellite in a calm, kind voice. "It's...love...the last gift Clifford left for us." Unbeknownst to anyone else, the Pandora punk was smiling with tears rolling down his cheeks.
"I don't really know how to explain it," said one of Dr. Aoi's men sometime later, "but the effects of MARK IV seem to have completely worn off. Unfortunately, we couldn't find any traces of Clifford Fairchild after the explosion. On top of that, when we found him, "
"I STILL don't understand how Clifford could stop the explosion all by himself," Dr. Aoi whispered to himself. "What about Anthony Evans' condition?" she asked one of her men.
"Well...he's recovering pretty well...but we have to keep him asleep for now. But what happened to him is scientifically impossible...SO impossible that it would take after miracle to—"
"What? You don't believe in miracles? After we've to survive 11 Nova Clashes no less?"
In an operating room, a fully-human, unconscious, and naked Anthony was laying on an operating table with an oxygen mask over his mouth and nose; his hair had also been restored back to its crimson color.
In another operating room, Andréa sat on his bed with Elliot sitting right next to him.
"Andréa-senpai!" gasped Kazuha; behind her were Satellite and Ra's. "Your eyes! You've...You've..."
"...lost my sight?" concluded Andréa. "It's nothing, I'm actually okay with this. I've lost my sight...for Elliot-senpai. And I'm PROUD of it!"
"...Satellite, Ra's, Kazuha, would you three please accompany me to the roof?" asked Elliot. "There's something that I need to tell you."
"...RETIRE?!" Satellite screamed on the rooftop. "ARE YOU OUTTA YOUR FUCKING MIND?!"
"Yes~de arimasu!" Ra's yelled more calmly. "Who will lead West Genetics with you gone~de arimasu?"
"Yeah, with Clifford-senpai gone," asked Kazuha, "what will happen now?"
"*SIGH* I knew you guys would disagree with my decision, but quite frankly...I am NOT qualified to be Pandora any longer; in fact, I'm actually very weak," explained Elliot with a sad smile. "Andréa literally lost her own sight for my sake...and I can't imagine continuing on without her. Don't get me wrong, if I knew there wasn't anyone suitable enough to lead West Genetics, I would've stayed." Elliot directed his gaze to the Pandora punk.
"M-Me?! No-No-No-No-No-No-No...I-I-I can't possibly worthy enough to—"
"No, not YOU...I'm referring to someone who has deeply loved and deeply respected Clifford...HE will surely continue on his legacy...because he is without a doubt...West Genetics' strongest Pandora..."
Inside a classroom of West Genetics, a Pandora with long black hair looked out the window in sorrow. "So I guess it's true...you're...you're NOT coming back this time." Tommy closed his eyes as—
"Of course I am," said a familiar voice.
"President Clifford!" Tommy's shot wide open and he noticed white orbs slowly raining down from the sky.
"From now on, you'll be my successor...I know you can...and don't say you CAN'T..."
"But...But I CAN'T?! *SOB* E-Even if I *SNIFF* tried, I'd—"
Just then, a ghostly image of a smiling Clifford faded into Tommy's eyesight.
"Of course you can! NEVER say never! And DON'T stop smiling...no matter how sad you are..." The ghost of Clifford place his palm on Tommy's tear-covered cheek. "Remember what my friends once said: You have to keep smiling...whether you're are happy OR sad...because someday...your happiness WILL come true..."
Still sobbing, Tommy reached to touch Clifford's hand, feeling a soft sensation...only to realize he was touching nothing...
"...No...it WASN'T nothing! I could still feel it...even if it wasn't there..." The black-haired Pandora boy gave a big smile as he wiped away his tears. "You're right, Clifford...we WILL meet again...someday..."
