The Fate of the First Hero of Light

There is a podium, a man in shining armour stands addressing the large crowd, he has papers in his hand.

He waves the parchments about, people move towards him to look.

A hooded figure stays hidden out of view.

"If anyone has seen or heard of anyone of these persons please contact the authorities immediately, a handsome sum will be rewarded for any information that could lead to their apprehension."

"Why are they wanted?" speaks the hooded figure while staying hidden.

The Knight addressing the crowd responds without looking for the source of the question.

"They are enemies of our Kingdom."

"What should we do if we find them?" asks a man he is wearing a sword on his belt.

"They are extremely dangerous and violent criminals. Do not approach them! Immediately contact the guard or police first!"

The hooded figure waits long times.

The Knight has left and most of the people have cleared.

The figure moves closer and reads the bounty papers that have been affixed on a wall.

The following persons are wanted by the Kingdom of Wrillion for conspiring to overthrow the Monarchy and instate an illegal, illegitimate system of governance.

Do not be fooled by their words if they contact you.

Immediately contact the nearest Authorities or the Imperial Guard.

Here follows the information we have gathered as of this date.

The main party of the instigators

Geir Warchief of the Tulok

He is the ring leader of their party. His violent and evil behavior is known far and wide. Feared by merchants for his unscrupulous business practices, he is extremely dangerous. The Kingdom under authority of the King has sent many warriors to rid the realms of his evil.

"Warriors! bah! They mean assassins!"

"WHO SAID THAT?!" screams the startled hooded figure.

"My name is Gurth and my companion is Natasched."

The hooded figure looks to them they seem to be adventurers. The man is wearing mithril light armour, wielding a longsword and carries a dwermer shield. The other adventurer is a woman, she is clothed in a mages cloak, she wields a wooden long staff, it seems to be magical. Her eyes are bound shut with a cloth around her head.

"You look to be adventures, could you read my mind?"

"No, you were talking aloud."

"WHAT!?"

After short awkwardness...

"I see she is blind, but can sense her surroundings."

"Yes, unfortunately she cannot read. That was why we had waited for the people to clear."

"May I ask you for a favour?" asks the woman.

"What could it be?"

"Will you read the parchments for us?"

"That is an odd request?"

"My partner loves to talk, so I must listen to his drivel day in, day out. You have a soothing voice please can I ask you this."

Gurth wants to respond but his partner elbows him in his side.

The hooded figure notices, they were signaling to each other.

"Very well." The figure will study them for clues.

The hooded figure starts again...

Here follows the information we have gathered as of this date.

The main party of the instigators

Geir Warchief of the Tulok

He is the ring leader of their party. His violent and evil behavior is known far and wide. Feared by merchants for his unscrupulous business practices, he is extremely dangerous. The Kingdom under authority of the King has sent many warriors to rid the world of his evil.

"Gurth you said they send assassins?"

"Yes, he has many enemies. Real warriors are paralyzed with fear, when his name is mentioned. Only someone who does not know their own strength or are paid would face him."

The figure continues...

He is the leader of the Tulok tribe a band of cowards and lowlifes they are not to be feared.

"Forgive me, my partner will have to explain some of this, as I cannot know of recent news and trends."

"I understand." says the hooded figure.

"Gurth they said they are cowards?"

Gurth looks as if he wants to shiver.

"Please continue Mister?"

"I cannot give my name."

"I thought as much, I apologize can we continue?"

"Yes."

"GURTH!? Why will you not answer me?"

"The Tulok tribe are well renowned for their exceptional cruelty and baseness. The stories I have heard of their atrocities would give you nightmares."

"I do not understand?"

"When they were at war with the Kingdom of Hyrule. The losses of the Kingdom was so great that the King had wanted submit to any proposal they would make, just so that the war could end. Fortunately the tribe disbanded before they ever knew of this."

"That does not answer my question Gurth."

"When the Kingdom had come to claim their homelands. The true destruction was seen for the first time, while battling the Kingdom they had gone through their surrounding regions slaughtering whole tribes. No one was spared. Empty villages totally encased in ice or frozen corpses broken into large pieces was a common sight."

"That sounds like ice manipulation." says the blind woman.

"Yes, there was an exceptionally powerful ice user among the tribe. Her name was Esdeath." speaks Gurth.

"Esdeath? I have not heard of that name before."

"She is also called Princess Teela." speaks the hooded figure.

"PRINCESS TEELA! The ice beast, I thought that was only a legend!"

"No, she is very real." speaks the hooded figure.

"Have you met her?" asks the adventurer named Gurth.

"..."

The figure turns around and walks away.

"We are sorry please return!"

The figure is still walking.

"You are looking for the Stone of Attrition, are you not?"

The figure walks backwards and turns to face them.

"We can tell you where, if you are willing to share some information. A little give and take?"

"What are your plans?"

"We are going to capture the Warchief and claim the reward."

"Hahahahahaha!" the hooded figure is laughing.

"That is not something that you could ever accomplish."

"You don't know until you try, is my motto."

"As long as you tell me what you know of the stone, I will lead you to your deaths."

"You are awfully understanding. What makes you think, we cannot best him?"

"Look on your shoulder."

The adventurer turns to look on his left shoulder, there is a small white clay bird perched upon it.

QUACK! QUACK!

He wants to withdraw his weapon, it changes into a centipede and grips him tightly around his throat.

"UGHHH.."

"We apologize please forgive us."

"Why?"

"We sell info..."

"No, Natasched don't tell him..."

The centipede grips him even tighter.

"UGHHH"

His face is turning blue.

"We sell information please help us we will tell you anything. Please we need to get something, anything otherwise..."

Underneath the bandages tears are flowing down her cheeks.

"I know Esdeath she could extract your information in not even two instances."

The woman opens her mouth she shows her tongue, on it is printed a magical rune sign. It means "to block".

"I see, we wont be able to force the information from you. Very well, you will tell me where the stone is and I will guide you into the afterlife."

The man is released.

The woman goes and assists the man.

"Please if you would."

The hooded figure continues.

He has many other known aliases Claurilles Descarte Oddmund of House Dominitus, Great Father Geir of House Deepstand.

"House Dominitus?" asks the woman.

"I do not know of it?" Gurth looks to the figure.

"It is one of the Kingdom's three Royal Houses."

"Can we have the other three as well?"

A clay centipede rushes out of the hooded figures robe.

"We know where the staff of Windweaver is! I sensed you are a healer as well, surely you know of it!"

The centipede stops and almost loses its shape, so shocked was the hooded figure.

"WINDWEAVER!...ahem...you can be lucky I was feeling merciful."

"..."

"Please could you give us as much information as possible."

"There are three Houses Dominitus, Vasilios and Apolian."

We had heard there was rumours of conflict between the houses."

"..."

"Please we have to be as brazen as possible. We have many things to share, if you are willing to help us."

"King Roland had returned recently, House Vasilios stood up against the other two. They dishonoured them by removing the banners of the others at the Royal Castle. They only flew theirs, this forced the others to act. House Apolion joined forces with House Vasilios in an effort to eradicate House Dominitus."

"Why would they join together? They would still be at odds with each other?"

"House Dominitus was without a doubt the strongest House. They believed that fighting against each other would be preferable than to inevitably be destroyed or be controlled by House Dominitus."

"Why are they the strongest?"

"Geir is the grandson of Esdeath of the Tulok tribe, she trained him since young and two others. Each can easily kill a thousand persons in not even long times."

"WHAT!? How is this possible!" screams Gurth.

"Geir is currently the strongest ice user in this world, he can produce even solid crystal blocks. His cousins, the detestable fools, are each also powerful in their own fields."

"Who is the strongest among them, what are their powers?"

"Do not test my patience or my charity."

"Please look at this." The woman hands the hooded figure a list.

"WHAT IS THIS?! WHERE DID YOU GET THIS KNOWLEDGE FROM!? HOW CAN YOU KNOW OF THIS?"

"We also have another service."

"TELL ME!"

"We can make information disappear."

"What!?"

"We can give you a list of people we know, who are privy to this knowledge."

"What would that accomplish?"

"You can contact them, or visit them and ask that they tell no one."

"Why would they...I understand, ask me anything."

"Just to clear your suspicions. Our information is collected through magical and other means. We never ask persons or servants close to our mark. They can easily be made to confess."

"..."

"Please let us continue can you name their powers and strength."

"Geir is the strongest among them. The other two's true powers I do not know. What I have seen is that the eldest Estonix can nullify any magical ability, the other fool can create bubbles that he can change the properties of."

"The properties?"

"When he changes it to stone the friction of the surface tension of the stone bubbles rubbing against each other makes it melt instantly. He then casts the melted magma, with devastating results."

"Can he use the bubbles in any other way?"

"I do not know."

"Why would you count the Warchief among them. Is he not the leader of the Tulok tribe?"

"The previous Lord of the House, Lord Anaxtus chose him to be his successor."

"The Lord died many suncycles ago, how could this be possible?"

The figure wants to ask of where they had learned that, but realizes even the smallest scrap of knowledge that they could find, even if they knew nothing of the circumstances surrounding it, they would still find a use for it.

"He was chosen when he was still a young boy."

"Surely if his elder cousins are as powerful as you said. They would be better suited to lead the House?"

"...Geir..." the hooded figure seems to be deep in thought.

"I see, can we continue?"

The figure starts reading again.

He has many other known aliases Claurilles Descarte Oddmund of House Dominitus, Great Father Geir of House Deepstand and is infamously known as the evil god of schemes.

"GOD OF SCHEMES!? WHO TOLD THEM THAT!"

The figure looks to the adventurers the man looks away and even though the woman's eyes are bound. The figure knows they would be staring in a different way.

The woman clears her throat.

"It says he is a Great Father what does that mean?"

"It is a formal term Dwarfs use when referring to their elders or between two persons of the same standing."

"He is a Hume why would they refer to him as a Dwarf."

The figure sighs the explanation starts.

Finally after many long times and hundreds of questions it has been explained.

"To summarize he was adopted as a Dwarf so that he could live in the Dwarven afterlife with his fellow Dwarfs, he was bestowed the title Great Father for his many heroic and deeds of great accomplishments, that furthered the Dwarven Realm's future and fortune."

"Yes, that would be the short answer."

The figure continues.

He can be identified by his portly body, deeply recessed hair line and short stature.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!? WHO TOLD THEM THIS?" screams the hooded figure.

She turns around again the man and woman seem to be looking away.

"WAS IT YOU!?"

"That is why we need this information, otherwise..."

"I am leaving! There is no way, you two could have any meaningful knowledge."

"Please look here." the woman hands the figure another piece of paper.

The figure reads the paper:

Small bag of flour, cocoa powder, box of baking powder, salt, 4 pints of milk, 2 sticks of butter, 12 eggs, vanilla extract, 4 cloves of garlic, jar of olives, 2 limes, 2 packs preserved meat.

"Is this a coded message?"

"Forgive me that is a shopping list. I am to bake a cake for a friend. Please turn it around."

"WHAT!?" the figure is so shocked at the ingredients for the cake on the shopping list, the page is turned around.

"I see very well. If you help me find these criminals you will be rewarded. Lie to me and you will suffer for many long times before you expire."

The man and woman shiver in sync.

"Please if you could give us the description."

The figure thinks and immediately becomes frustrated.

After short moments.

"So in short he is a tall man, with a height of 6 feet and 3 hand breadths, has jet black hair, dark green eyes. His hair is always well oiled and shiny. It is styled like "the same as one of those fools on their motorized bicycles" in an upswept style in other words a pompadour that extends past his forehead?"

"Yes, that is correct..." says the hooded figure, you can sense the figure has a blank look on their face.

"You mentioned many times that he is extremely handsome, has a stern look on his face and that a sense of mystery surrounds him, Is that correct?"

"Let us move on to the next question..."

"You spoke of his otherworldly eyes?"

"The Tulok tribe are not pure Hume's some of them have almost supernatural powers. His eyes function the same as some beasts. He can see clearly in the dark and for distances far greater than that of a normal Hume, his hearing is also more acute than most creatures."

The woman seems to be making notes in her head.

"Can we continue?"

The hooded figure starts to read again.

He is always accompanied by his cowardly accomplishes and loyal servants.

The Ruler of Hyrule Queen Zelda, the Knight of the Red Lotus Society and the Mage from the Clan Firedust

"SERVANTS!?" the hooded figure is furious.

"Is something the matter?"

"SILENCE!"

"YES!"

The man jumps to attention.

The paper is ripped from the wall

"WHO GAVE THEM THIS INFORMATION!"

The figure wants to turn to kill the man and woman.

"PLEASE STOP IT WAS NOT US!" "YES, THIS WAS NOT OUR DOING!"

"I see." The figure calms.

"Please if you could tell us of his party."

The figure sighs and thinks if the information gained would be worth this awkwardness.

"Can we start with the Queen Zeld..."

"ABSOLUTELY NOT!"

"I see I apologize, can you tell us of the other members?"

The hooded figure sighs deeply.

"We'll start with the..."

Finish.
