I do not own PJO characters.
We got to the pavilion and everyone watched as Damian and I got our food. "Why are they staring at us?" Damian asked.
"It's me, let's just say, because of my curse I'm not very popular here," I explained.
"Oh, well, where do you sit?"
"Anywhere I want," I smiled, "since there isn't a Hera table yet, I get to choose where I sit. I usually sat with Percy and Annabeth, but-,"
"Haven't it been almost five years since you arrived here, and you still don't have a table?"
"That's camp for you," I laughed.
"So where are we sitting?" Damian asked.
"We?"
"Yeah, I don't think you've noticed, but I haven't left your side since I got you out of that ice. Well, except when you were asleep, that would've been… weird."
"Well then, let's sit with your siblings, I haven't really met any of them yet."
Damian led me over to the Hephestus table. On our way over there, I kept getting glares from people. Damian made it his mission to glare back at every single one of them.
We got over to his table and Damian's siblings didn't seem very happy to see me, well except for Leo. "Hey, what have you been up to lately," Leo joked.
"Oh just being an ice cube for five years," I joked back, "Hey? Why are you here? I would've thought you and Cal would have had a shop by now."
"Oh, well, we do have a shop, that's where Cal is now, but because of these ongoing attacks I've been staying here," Leo explained, "But now that your back, this war will be over just like that! Anyway," Leo turned back to the table, "Scootch over a bit guys."
"No," a girl said, she could've been half my age, "We're not letting some freak sit with us just because she's Damian's girlfriend."
Damian went at her but I stopped him. "Wait a minute," I said, "One, I am not Damian's girlfriend, and two, why do you think I'm a freak?"
"For starters, you go all commando whenever you get upset or freak out and you killed your own family, didn't you?" she snapped, I saw Damian's eyes widen.
"IT WAS AN ACCIDENT! And I'm sorry but I don't try to go 'all commando' IT'S CALLED A CURSE FOR A REASON!" I yelled. I took a deep breath and calmed down. I looked down at the little girl to see a face of terror. "I-I'm, so sorry, I didn't, I-," I started to say, but I didn't know what to say. I just yelled at a ten-year-old girl right in the face, I felt horrible.
"Here," Damian said, "Let's go eat somewhere else." he pulled my arm and all I could do was nod. He pulled me over to the Poseidon table and we sat down.
Once I was out of my shock, I slammed my head on the table. "Uhhhh, I'm a horrible person," I groaned.
"Why? For yelling at my sister?" he asked.
I shook my head yes. "Nah, that's fine, I yell at her all the time, it's like she has a superpower to get under people's skin."
I lifted my head to look at him. "Is that supposed to make me feel better?" I asked.
"Uh, no?" That made me laugh a bit.
"Ha! So it did make you feel better!" Damian said.
"No, shut up," I said, laying my head back on the table. "Also, it's not just about me yelling at your sister, it's that because I yelled at your sister I'm just proving to everyone that what she said is true."
"Well don't listen to her, just… eat."
"Fine," I said, sitting up.
After a while, Chiron stood up. "Everyone, I have an announcement to make," he said.
Unfortunately today we were eating some kind of pizza, so as soon as Chiron stood up, someone took that time to sling pepperoni across the pavilion. After that, all Hades broke loose. Food was flying everywhere while Chiron was still trying to get everyone's attention.
"Everyone!" he yelled, "Stop!" but no one could hear him over everyone yelling and laughing.
I glanced over at the frustrated Chiron then back at the crowd. I stood up, I was having none of this. "EVERYONE STOP!" I yelled, waving my hands over the crowd causing all the food to stop where it was, "You may not respect me, and I don't care if you do or not, but you need to listen to what the people in charge are telling you. Now, give Chiron your utmost respect while he is telling you what he has to say, you wouldn't want to get on my bad side now would you?" I nodded at Chiron to continue.
"Thank you, Ms. Sutton," he said, "Now, what I am about to say has to do with what Trish was just talking about. About respect. It has been five years, five miserable years for us. But now Trish Sutton has returned and she is here to help us as much as possible. I know some of you don't like her being here but it is for the best and I need you to respect her and her power. I promise all of you that she is not here to harm us, she is here to help. With that said, our annual capture the flag is tonight, be ready." And with that, Chiron sank back into his magic wheelchair.
"So, are you excited for tonight?" Damian asked me as he finished up his food.
"Oh, I don't play capture the flag," I said.
"Why not?"
"Well, you'll see why soon enough."
Thanks for reading! I didn't know where to stop this chapter but I knew I couldn't keep going or it would've been 10 pages by now. Anyways if anyone has any ideas on what I should include in later chapters leave them in the reviews.
