Episode 94: Red night

Ace landed gracefully over the ground after dodging the rocket with a somersault. He activated his laser vision and shot Halley, hitting his shoulder. Halley groaned while rubbing his wound, he then shot a charge of his weapon at Ace, who dodged the shot with another somersault.

Regina was confronting Lexi with her flame thrower, its large flame passed just by her head. Lexi rushed towards Regina and punched her right in the face, then kicked her in the belly, making her groan. Lexi threw another kick, this time at her snout, leading her against the wall. "You give up?" Lexi raised an eyebrow while maintaining a battle position.

"That´s what you want!" Regina threw a punch at her face. Lexi groaned then Regina began to shoot again, Lexi gasped and evaded the shot with a backflip.

Uthman was shooting at Tech with his laserjet, unable to hit him as Tech was constantly dodging the shots with the help of his jetpack. "You think some water is gonna hurt me?" Tech used his magnetic abilities and manipulated a tube from the warehouse´s bottom. With a quick hand movement, he hit Uthman in the face with the tube, getting him temporarily unconscious. "You´ll have to do much more than that."

Alfons was battling Slam, they had their hands intertwined, the mech´s hands in Alfons´ case. Alfons growled with rage, as well as Slam, who let out a beastly roar and brought himself down violently, bringing Alfons down with him, making him hit the ground with strength. Slam let go off the mech´s hands and stood up quickly then he jumped at Alfons with his elbow ready to strike. He fell over him, hitting the lower back area of the suit with his elbow, making Alfons scream by the great pain.

Duck was throwing orbs continuously, not noticing Asher, who was invisible and carried several fuel cells while walking sneakily. One of the orbs hit the fuel cells that he carried, which exploded right away, covering the meerkat in flames. He screamed with agony while trying to put out the fire by throwing himself to the ground and rolling. "Ash!" Uthman rapidly rushed towards him. Regina was covering her mouth in horror while seeing her comrade being consumed by the flames. Asher´s screams echoed in all the place, until there was only silence, a deathly silence. Uthman knelt down by his side, watching him burn, knowing there was nothing to do. His melting eyes were open, his face was unrecognizable, his skin and fur scorched and burned. "No!" Uthman let out an enraged cry then stood up and shot at Duck with his waterjet, in tears and full of mourn and fury.

Duck gasped as he reacted just in time before the water shot could hit him. "Aqua Dense!" He deflected the shot towards Regina, unknowingly. The shot hit her right in the eye, she screamed strongly while falling to the ground, covering her eye and crying intensely. "Halley!"

Halley ran towards her and kneeled down next to her. "Hey, hey. I´m here, you will be okay, baby."

"It hurts so much! I..." Regina kept sobbing and groaning. "...I´m gonna lose my...sight!" She cried with pain and fear,

"Come here." Halley hugged her and kissed her head. "We´ll heal you as soon as we leave." As he stroked the back of her head, he felt his hand getting wet. Halley looked at his hand and noticed it was totally covered in blood. He gasped and noticed that the shot had gone all the way through Regina´s head, as she was bleeding out of a big hole. Halley covered the hole with his hand and stood up, carrying her. "I´ll take you to a safe spot." His voice was broken. "Stay with me." He kissed her forehead. "Stay with me, baby."

"O..." Regina spoke weakly. "Okay."

Alfons hit Slam with a violent head movement, the mech-suit´s face shield was strong, so it was enough to hurt Slam. He growled and groaned while stepping back and rubbing his face, Alfons walked towards him while backing his arm, ready to punch him, but Ace used his jetpack to fly towards them and then landed right before Alfons, shooting his laser vision at the face shield, making Alfons back away as the light and heat of Ace´s laser that bounced on the face shield dazzled him, blocking his sight. Ace looked at Slam over his shoulder. "Big guy! Take the cells to the jet!"

Slam growled affirmatively and approached the cells with his tornado, carrying them all and then exiting the warehouse hurriedly.

"No!" Alfons exclaimed enraged. "Shoot, where are those idiots?!" He glared around him, unable to find Halley and Regina. "You got work to do lazy br..!" Ace flew towards Alfons with his jetpack, aiming his feet at the mech´s chest area, managing to hit Alfons and bring him down.

Ace activated his comm. "Slam, when you arrive, stay there, okay?"

Slam growled affirmatively from the other side.

"Alright, we´ll m.." Ace got shot in the shoulder. "Gah!" He got on one knee while rubbing his shoulder then he got shot in his leg. "Argh! Dang it!" He activated his jetpack instinctively while looking around, flying in random directions, also dodging the sound waves that came from Landon´s sonic gloves.

Tech was fighting Uthman, attacking him with metal scraps that he controlled with his magnetic abilities. He got shot right in the chest, falling down while bleeding out from the big hole on his chest. After a few seconds, his wound healed, thanks to his regeneration powers. Tech looked around with worry and alarm while activating his jetpack and flying away from Uthman. "Sniper!"

Duck and Lexi were also flying with their jetpacks, in wait for Ace´s command, while dodging Alfons, Landon and Uthman´s shots. Ace looked around and noticed a large broken window, assuming that's where the shots came in. Their only way out was the main entrance of the warehouse. "Retreat!" Ace flew down towards the entrance and got out of the place followed by his team. They landed next to the jet, which was parked a few blocks away from the warehouse. The Loonatics got in, Slam was already there, sitting among the fuel cells.

Slam growled with concern when seeing Ace bleeding from both his shoulder and leg.

Ace groaned while sitting down, without fastening his seat belt as he knew Tech would take care of his wounds. "I´m okay, big guy."

Tech took off rapidly and after the jet was at an optimal height, he set the auto-pilot and went to the jet´s backside, approaching the small door that was over the seats, in order to get the healing gauze and cure Ace.

Meanwhile, in the ship of the Chaos Warriors, Alfons was enraged and hitting everything around him, having taken off his mech-suit. Halley was attending Regina, covering her head with a bandage. "Baby, hey." Halley´s voice was broken, he placed a piece of cotton over her damaged eye.

"Halley. It hurts." Regina said in a weak tone.

"I know, I know." Halley stood up. "Boss! We must attend her, she´s...dying!"

"Those idiots! I hate them! I hate them with all my..." Alfons punched the wall strongly.

"Hey, calm down." Landon approached him.

"Calm down?! How could I calm down?! We´re empty handed! Again!" Alfons exclaimed. Uthman was sitting on a corner, with a glare of mourn and sadness, hearing the discussion. "I´m gonna get revenge, you know? Yeah! I´ll make clear that I cannot be messed with!"

"Alfons!" Halley exclaimed with desperation. "Regina needs help! Urgently!"

"There´s no time for that!" Alfons said carelessly.

"There´s n..?" Halley approached Alfons, with a frown on his face and tears running down his fur. "She´s badly hurt." The lump in his throat had broke.

"She´ll make it through." Alfons took a step forward, getting close to Halley´s face. "There are more important things to attend, I don´t give a damn if she freaking dies." He smirked with mockery and pride.

Halley shouted with fury and punched Alfons in the snout, making him groan and fall to the ground. "I´m done with this!"

Alfons growled and stood up rapidly then kicked Halley´s stomach, he then punched his face. Halley kicked his thigh and punched his face twice. "So you´re done, huh?" Alfons screamed at him and tackled him, bringing him down. "Let´s get you done, then." He started to punch his face continuously and violently, making his snout, face, eyes and nostrils bleed intensely.

Regina dragged herself towards them while covering her eye. "Please!" She used all the strength she had left to implore Alfons to stop. Regina managed to approach Alfons, grasping his ankle. "Please! Stop!" She cried with desperation.

"Shut up!" Alfons kicked her face and walked towards a shelf that was nearby, taking a gun from there and loading it. He then aimed it at Regina´s head and shot, killing her, splashing the floor with her blood. Landon was shocked, he just decided to step away from the conflict. Alfons approached Halley again and crouched before him, putting the tip of the gun on his forehead, hearing his moribund breathing. "Chaos reigns." Alfons shot, killing Halley instantly.

After a long, silent moment, Alfons got onto his feet, looking at the rest of his team, Lydia, who had activated the auto-pilot, Landon, and Uthman, standing around him with gazes of perplexity. "Anyone else?" Alfons inquired, then he glared at the corpses of Halley and Regina. "What´s done is done." Lydia went back to the cockpit, Uthman sat down on the corner while Landon leaned against the wall, close to the corpses, shaking his head while glaring down. Alfons went to the back side of the ship, then he entered the small bathroom that was there. He began to wash his hands, seeing the blood fading by the water. Alfons began to chuckle. "Occupational hazards..."
