A/N: since I think that I was grasping at straws on Game of Life, I decided to document the supposed events that can support this pairing.
Chapter 8: Fear [part 8]
Renji woke up with a start as he realize that he is in an onsen of sort, and saw the shock of his life.
Rukia and his captain both naked, floating beside each other. Though unconscious.
At this, he immediately, separated the two, and emerged from the water.
"Oh, Renji! You're awake" Ichigo called out comically at the red head shinigami.
Renji in turned, look at Ichigo in confusion. But after a while, he understood everything, and decided to join him to the next palace. .

Rukia was hanging at the edge of consciousness.
In her mind, she was trying to reach out to Byakuya who was fading away into the distant.
Nii-sama!
She called out, to the person, who is now someone she was trying to consider as brother, despite everything.
Despite the fact that, he is never a sibling to her, in blood and in her heart.
Though their status dictates so.
Byakuya…
She cried out in anguish.
Cried out for the things she felt for him, but was not allowed to feel.
Cried out, at the thought of losing him…
"Byakuya" Rukia uttered as the freezing cold swallowed her entire being.
Her soul felt empty.

"Rukia-sama" someone called out to her insistently
"Who are you?" Rukia asked at the unknown woman's voice calling out to her.
"Call my name, Rukia-sama" the voice answered.
At this, Rukia is confused.
