The rest of the day was just people asking me to be on their team and me telling them no. "I thought you said you were going to play tonight?" Damian asked.
"I am, but I'm going to choose what team I want to be on, not them," I explained.
"So…" Damian said, "You wanna go on a walk?" A smile played across his face.
"Why? Last time I went on a walk it ended up with me at a Mcdonalds at ten o'clock with a pouting Nico, complaining Will, and an exhausted Jamie."
"Well you promised you would tell me more about you, so how about we go on a walk through the woods and just talk."
"Fine," I agreed.
Damian draped his arm around my shoulder as we headed to the woods. "So, what should I talk about first?" I asked.
"How about what happened last time you played capture the flag?"
"Well, so um, well Clarisse had come to ask me to join her team because the Athena cabin bribed almost everyone to be on their team. Well I agreed to join Clarisse's team because I didn't think it was fair that they were so outnumbered. We came up with a plan where I sneak far out in the woods and let things kind of play out for a while and then freeze the entire camp in place while I grab the flag and walk it over to our side of the river. Long story short, we won and the entire camp was mad at me for a few days."
"Hm, they had it coming. Anyway, what about how you got here? Tell me how you got to camp," Damian said.
"Um, well I was living on the streets for a while when I went to this one coffee shop I go to, or used to go to, and in walked Nico, Will, Percy, and Annabeth. It was hilarious, I knew who they were because of the books, and I tried to talk to them but they thought I was a monster. Anyways they left and I heard a scream, it was Percy, they had run into a bunch of hellhounds. Anyway I killed the hellhounds and then fainted because I hadn't used my curse in a long time. When I woke up Percy was standing over me and tried to get me to eat some ambrosia when I told them I was a mortal. They then found out that Hera was my adoptive mother and she ordered them to bring me here. Anything else?"
"Hmm, lets see," Damian thought as we entered the grove of tall trees. "How about how you got into that ice I saved you from?"
"Heh, um, well you may or may not know but some powerful Immortals are after me and because of all the commotion at camp, I lived at Sally's. One day when Nico and I were training, Boreas came to us and told me to find his daughter that had been kidnapped. Me, Annabeth, and Nico were going on this quest, well I wanted to be stubborn and bring Coral with me. We got there and were attacked by ice giants, Khione didn't even help us, she just left. Anyways, while I was trying to get Khione out of the chains she was in, I had set the two-year-old by this one throne. I had hen gone to help Annabeth and Nico fight when a giant, the one that I killex, grabbed Coral. When I finally was able to get Coral back, Annabeth was wounded and Nico and I were out of energy. We were so close to getting out but I couldn't make it so I handed Coral over to Nico and told him to run. That's when I was encased in ice. The next thing I knew, it was 5 years in the future and you were there."
After that, Damian and I walked in silence for a while until Damian said, "Why Immortals?"
"Huh?"
"Why do you call the gods, Immortals?" He asked again.
I started laughing. "No one told you huh?" I said.
"Tell me what?"
"That I'm Christian," I started laughing harder. I don't know why I found that funny, I just did.
"Oh." We walked in silence for a little longer.
"Why do you put your arm around my shoulder like that?" I finally asked.
"Um, I don't know. I guess I kind of feel protective over you. I mean I did go through all that work to get you here, didn't I?"
"Yeah, I guess."
"Did you really kill your parents?" Damian blurted out.
I stared at him. "Sorry, I just… I wanted to know if it was true, you don't have to answer."
"N-no, it's fine," I said, I took a deep breath, "Yes, yes I did kill my family, but it was an accident. I was in my house when I got upset and… e-everything was gone before I knew it." I felt Damian pull me closer, which I found surprisingly comforting.
Thanks for reading! I didn't know where to end this chapter so I hope that this is a good spot. Anyways, sorry I didn't post yesterday, I was tired and felt like crap so I thought that I should probably get some rest. Also shout out to smile all of your days for leaving a review.
