Every day he goes to the same coffee shop to get his usual morning fix.
The coffee isn't the best around, but that's not what keeps him coming back.
It's her. Kate.
She constantly intrigues him. Her demeanour, her aura. Her playfulness.
Castle never uses his real name, doesn't want attention drawn to himself, but he's sure she recognises who he is.
All doubts are cleared this morning when he hears her voice.
"Rich Asshole? Latte for Rich Asshole?"
He looks to her, a sardonic smile gracing her mouth. Eyebrows raised in challenge.
Oh, she knows exactly who he is.
