A/N: since I think that I was grasping at straws on Game of Life, I decided to document the supposed events that can support this pairing.

Chapter 8: Fear [part 9]

Rukia found herself, in a vast white desert of snow, illuminated with a light that was trapped above the frozen sky.

Where am I?

She thought, as she hugged herself to preserve what little warmth she had, from the surging gust of icy wind.

Alone.

For no sign of life, can be seen where ever she looked. Not a stone or tree.

The place is empty.

And yet…

Familiar.

Is this supposed to be my inner world?

Rukia thought in wonder. For she had never been able to visit this place before.

Though…

This place felt like home.

Somehow…

This remind her of her childhood memories…

Loneliness…

And warmth less…

But she had learned to live with…

And accept.

Accepted whatever life throws at her… fighting to survive and protect what little she have. Her life.

Her friends.

Her family….

Byakuya.

Rukia thought, as she keeps on walking, and walking without any direction.

Looking for something inside her… that had been missing.

Back at the Sokyuko, before she was saved by Ichigo… she had accepted then, her impending death.

She was actually glad, to be alive…

To have meet Renji and their childhood friends… the children at Rukongai…

To have met Byakuya… and had experienced the thrill of throwing caution to the air, and let herself fall for him…

Which was short lived…

But memorable at the same time.

And later learned about how to become a shinigami at the Academy.

Being adopted by Byakuya, who she had forgotten due to the hollow who she had fought against, in order to protect the nameless children, she had sheltered at the 72nd district.

Meeting Kaien… and everyone at the 13th…

Most importantly meeting, Ichigo and his friends.

And then learning about her biological sister, which was Byakuya's late wife.

.

.

.

Above all, was the time she had spent with Byakuya… though they were casual and platonic.

For she will never admit this to anyone…

But he had become…

The center of her world.

To be continued…
