BIRDS
Azula and Ty Lee were ten, and visiting Ember Island in the mid-summer. The Princess was displeased and fanning herself in the heat as she reclined on the beach. Ty Lee, on the other hand, was twirling in circles as she gazed up at the birds.
"They're incredible!"
"They're seagull-rats," sighed Azula with a dismissive wave in Ty Lee's direction.
But Ty Lee did not let it kill her happy vibe.
"Things can still be incredible even if they're common."
"Are you talking about yourself or the birds?"
Ty Lee's smile faltered for a flicker of a second before she sat down across from Azula.
"Maybe myself," she admitted, flushing bright red.
"Well, personally, given your acrobatic and combat talents and attractive face, I would say you're quite close to incredible. More than seagull-rats or your sisters, at least."
Ty Lee smiled, eyes sparkling.
"You think I'm incredible?"
"I didn't go that far," icily retorts Azula.
Ty Lee just laughed, because she knew what her princess meant.
