Kyle's p.o.v: Accidentally or for a divine purpose, her star bumped into mine. She took a steep dive into the deep great unknown. We held each other's hand as we navigated through a brand new dawn. The stirrings of life kept her spirits up instead of down. Although he was in his prime, he never saw the light of day outside the womb. He went straight to the tomb. It felt as if a bomb had been dropped on us. He dwelled in a very dark prism. He was the sum of all our optimism and pessimism.
Place: John's gravesite
Situation: Sarah (Emilia Clarke) spends her first Mother's Day without John
Sarah (crying over John's tombstone): I miss you so much, my precious baby boy
Kyle (Jai Courtney) catching up with Sarah): There you are. Pops and I have been looking for you.
Sarah: I decided to visit John's gravesite because it is my first Mother's Day without him
Kyle (choked up): I understand
Pops (approaching Sarah and Kyle): John is dead. We must let him rest in peace.
Sarah (hysterical): You will never understand how it feels to carry and lose your only child. I gave John life. I will never let him go.
Kyle: We can always resurrect him. Do you know what I mean?
Sarah: But still it won't feel the same
Kyle (hugging Sarah): I can imagine an alternate universe where John and our other children do exist

Scene: Post the emergency cesarean section
Place: Sarah's Hospital Recovery Room
Situation: Unresponsive, Sarah (Emilia) has been struggling to wake up from the anesthesia
The doctor (wheeling Sarah into the Recovery Room): There were complications with the delivery.
Kyle: What kind of complications?
Doctor: Your wife can't have any more babies. I am so sorry.
Kyle (fighting back his tears): But Still
Doctor: I understand this is not what you wanted
An emotional Kyle ((Jai Courtney) holding Sarah's hand): Please wake up, honey. Pops, John, and I need you.
The doctor: Your wife may wake up tomorrow
Kyle (stressed out): Tomorrow?!
The doctor: Yes
Kyle: What happens if she never wakes up from the anesthesia?
The doctor: Let's take it one moment at a time
A nurse (carrying a newborn John): Your son is all cleaned up and is ready to bond with you
Kyle (rejecting the nurse and baby John): I am not bonding with my son until my wife wakes up
The nurse (leaving the room with John): I understand, Mr. Reese
(Pops tries to comfort and support Kyle in the best way he knows how to. Patiently and anxiously, they wait for Sarah to wake up).

Place: Sarah's Hospital Recovery Room
Sarah (waking up from the anesthesia): Reese...
Kyle (taking Sarah's hand in his hand): I am here, baby. I am glad and grateful that you are awake.
Sarah (panicky, she rubs around her flat stomach): Where is my baby? Did I lose him?
Pops (leaving the room): I will get John for you
Sarah: Thanks, Pops
(Pops returns to the room with Baby John. Kyle and Sarah bond with their newborn son. Somehow Kyle gathers the courage to tell Sarah that she can't have any more babies. The news is really bittersweet for Sarah).
Date: 12-20-1990 (six years later)
Place: A Hospital Delivery Room
Situation: Sarah's miraculous and yet high risk pregnancy with Kitty comes to an end at last
Sarah ((Emilia) reaching the end of her difficult labor): I miss John. I wish he was here with me.
Kyle (Jai): Pops is looking after John for us. We will see him again soon.
Sarah (speaking through a contraction): I remember when Pops didn't support this second pregnancy
Kyle: This second pregnancy was indeed an unplanned surprise. I am so excited and anxious to meet Kitty.
Sarah (transitioning over to the pushing stage): I must push
Doctor (examining Sarah): You are fully dilated
(Against all odds, Sarah gives birth to a healthy baby girl named Kitty. Kitty is her parents' Christmas miracle. Kitty's little brother (Chance- has Down Syndrome) is born four years later on 11-11-1994).
Time Period: A Flashback to the night of May 6, 2021
Kitty (entering her parents' bedroom): Mom...
Sarah (quickly putting away her old pregnancy and birth journals): Yes honey
Kitty (laying down on the bed): My teacher, Ms. Hall said via zoom that we are doing something special in honor of Mothers Day in class tomorrow. Will you allowed me to attend class in person tomorrow?
Sarah: I will only allow you to attend class if you promise to use precaution tomorrow
Kitty: What do you mean by precaution?
Sarah: You should wear your mask, wash or sanitize your hands, and practice social distancing
Kitty: I will follow your instructions
Sarah: I trust and believe you
Kitty (hugging Sarah): Thanks, mom
Sarah: You are welcome, sweetheart
(Happily, Kitty leaves the room. Sarah resumes reaching her old pregnancy and birth journals. Eventually, Kyle comes into the room and they make love until they fall asleep. The flashback ends).

Place: Kitty's school- Ms. Hall's classroom
Action: Kitty and her classmates are making Mothers Day cards at their desks using the CDC covid guidelines
Kitty (to her teacher): Ms. Hall, I am done with my Mothers Day card. My dad's birthday is on May 11th. Can I make a birthday card for him?
Ms. Hall: Yes of Course, Kit
Kitty: Thanks
Ms. Hall: You are welcome
Laura (to Kitty): How old is your dad?
Kitty: My dad is in his late forties or early fifties
Laura: I thought he was your brother when I first met him
Kitty: My dad looks younger than he appears
Laura: Please tell him that I said happy birthday
Kitty: I will do that for you
(After school, Kitty tries her best to hide her cards from Sarah and Kyle).

Scene 1: Kitty's school- The car riders lane
Kitty (wearing a mask, she gets into a jeep): Hello father
Derek (the driver): I am not your father
(John (sitting in the front passenger seat) and Chance ((sitting in the backseat) had been attending class via zoom at home) burst out laughing).
Kitty (getting settled into her seat): I am sorry, Uncle Derek
Derek: I forgive you. I do love you as if you were my own daughter.
Kitty: Whatever happened to Mom, Dad, and Cameron?
Derek: You know how they are
Kitty: What do you mean?
John: Mom and Dad are having sex. Cameron is keeping watch over the house.
Derek (yelling): JOHN!
John (yelling): DEREK!
Derek: It is Uncle Derek to you, boy.
(Kitty and Chance just laugh as Derek drives the car onto the highway)
Derek (to Kitty): You haven't talked much about school. How was class?

(Derek treats his niece and nephews to Dairy Queen. They buy last minute Mother's Day Gifts for Sarah at the mall. Luckily, Kitty is about to hide her cards from Sarah and Kyle)

Scene: Sarah and Kyle's bedroom
Kyle (wearing pajamas, he joins Sarah in bed): Hello, love
Sarah (quickly putting away her pregnancy and birth journals): I am all yours. We can make love if you want to.
Kyle: What were you reading?
Sarah (pulling out her pregnancy and birth journals): I was reading my old pregnancy and birth journals. I read them every year on Mothers Day weekend.
Kyle: I would like to read and discuss them with you. Tomorrow is Mothers Day after all. I am blessed and grateful that you are my wife and the mother of my kids.
Sarah (kissing and hugging Kyle): I love you
Kyle: I love you too
(They bond over the journals and plus make love until they fall asleep).

Situation: Kyle and his other family members provide gifts and breakfast for Sarah in bed. Sarah is overcome with joy and gratitude over her mother's day gift. She assumes her kids inherited their creative skills from Kyle. Sarah loves Kitty's beautiful Mother's Day card. Later on, Sarah catches an online Mother's Day sermon by James. From May 9 to May 11, Sarah plans for Kyle's birthday celebration).
