On with the story
A few days passed, Shirina with the others arrived at Sandalstraw town for the Sandalstraw Pokémon Contest.
"looks like we're lucky that the Pokémon Contest here is still on, huh?" said Kirika while looking at a flyer of the town's Pokémon Contest as the group were heading for the Pokémon Contest hall to get Miyuki, Minny, and Osamu registered in it.
"the same could be said about the other 3" said Akira, seeing how their journey going to Snowpoint city will be taking a while and that means a chance for the three Coordinators in the group to get more ribbons. They arrived 10 minutes later at the Pokémon Contest hall and see that it is packed with Coordinators and their Pokémon.
"you sure you are okay in registering into the contest, Osamu?" said Shirina to her little brother as Osamu still has bandages over his right eye from the previous Pokémon Contest' accident.
"I'm fine, Neechan" said Osamu, not bothered by the bandages over his right eye.
"are you sure, Osamu-chan? Going into a Contest with only one good eye isn't really a good plan" said Kirika as only having his left side of vision while his right is blocked, can be very hard for a Trainer or Coordinator to perform in a contest or battle. "I think it'd be better if you get your eye checked by a doctor for a moment before registering in."
"I'm fine, really" said Osamu before Shirina carried him up over her shoulder. "Neechan!"
"just get your eye checked" said Shirina, determined to get her little brother's eye checked by a doctor. Shirina went off with Osamu as she gone to a nearby clinic.
"I bet 5 Oran Berries that he can't go in" said Kenji to Minny who elbowed his side.
"rude!" said Minny
A few minutes later, Miyuki and Minny were preparing their Pokemons for the contest while Shirina, Kirika, Akira, and Kenji were sat down on a round table with Osamu who had a sad frown on his face.
"the doctor said that it's a bad idea to go into the Contest with just one good eye, Osamu" Shirina told her little brother as the result of their check up to the clinic is resulted in the doctor saying that it's a no for Osamu to participate into the contest. "it's better to listen to the doctor."
"it's not fair" said Osamu, sad that he can't participate. "i already prepared a new performance with Gallade."
"come on, Osamu-chan. Chin up" said Kirika while patting Osamu's head. "you think that Ken-san or Shirona-san would want you to get into more danger? Remember what happened last time?"
"I know" said Osamu, pouting a bit.
"there's at least about 3 more contests left, and who knows about other Contest that might still be open" said Akira while holding a glass of water. "you still have the chance to get your last two ribbons for the Grand Festival."
"If I can participate with my right eye like this" said Osamu, all moody about not getting into the contest.
"just suck it up and wait for it to heal" said Kenji, while pointing a finger at the bandages on Osamu's right eye.
Osamu sighs and keeps on pouting, all moody and jealous that Minny and Miyuki can participate while he couldn't.
"hey, don't be like that" said Shirina, patting Osamu's back a few times before she got an idea hitting her brain. "how about I participate in your stead? I'll get into the contest and win it for you."
Shirina's words instantly made Akira and Kirika who were drinking water, choke on their drink before they started coughing badly.
"what?" said Shirina, looking at her two childhood best friends who were coughing non stop because of choking on their drinks.
"S-Shirina! -cough- -cough- you participating in the Contest?! No no!" said Akira while trying to calm his breath.
"no offense, Shiri. -cough- -cough- but even for me who doesn't participate in a Pokémon Contest, thinks that you won't even -cough- pass the performance round with how you are" said Shirina as she coughs a few times before drinking her glass of water again.
"what? what do you mean?" said Shirina while crossing her arms. "you just have to perform amazing tricks with your Pokemons, right? It's that simple till it get more simple to the battle round where I just beat the hell out of my opponent"
"if it were that simple, tons of Coordinator will get lots of Ribbons by now" thought Akira and Kirika in unison while sweatdropping to how simple Shirina thinks a Pokémon contest is.
"nee-chan. for anyone, a Pokémon Contest is not something so simple" said Osamu before Shirina rubs his head a few times with a smile.
"don't worry! I've seen Papa and dozens of Coordinators do things in the Pokémon Contest!" said Shirina before giving Osamu a thumbs up. "I got this in the bag!"
"this contest is going to be a disaster," said Kenji before drinking his glass of water.
An hour later, the Pokémon Contest is about to begin, and every Coordinator is prepping up for the first round.
"do I really have to wear a costume?" said Shirina as she with Miyuki, Minny, and Kirika were looking around the rental costumes stock, searching for one costume for her to wear in the contest. "can't I just wear what I'm wearing now."
"just wear a costume if you are in a Pokémon Contest" said Kirika as she took out a green and pink dress, looking at the two before placing them back in. "Miyuki and Minny wear their own, you should too."
"seriously?" said Shirina as the three soon got a few pairs of costumes for her.
"take your pick" said Minny, all having dress costumes in their hands.
"yeah, me and dress?" said Shirina while motioning to her own typical attire. "I don't think we mix."
"just wear it for Osamu-kun and today, Shirina-san" said Miyuki, insisting the blonde girl wear a costume.
Shirina sighs before one costume on the rack got her attention.
"rather than a dress, I think I'm going to pick this one instead" said Shirina as she went to the costume rack and pick one out which she showed to the others.
"that one?" said Kirika, Minny, and Miyuki in unison to the costume that Shirina picked.
At the crowd stand, Akira, Kenji, and Osamu were sitting by as they were waiting on Kirika to come back.
"you sure that your big sister can do this kind of things?" said Kenji to Osamu who had Ralts on his lap. "I thought you were the one into Contest and her into gyms."
"that's what I thought" replied Osamu while Ralts looks around.
"she's back" said Akira as he looks to the side and sees Kirika coming to their seat area.
"how did it go with Neechan?" said Osamu to Kirika as he insisted that his sister should wear a costume.
"it went well" said Kirika before sitting down beside Akira. "let's just hope it'll be the same on the performance round.
"Prepare yourselves... to be charmed with the unbelievable assortment of Pokémon as we bring you exciting Contest interaction between Pokémon and Coordinator! So, without further ado, it's time to witness the majesty of the Sandalstraw Pokémon Contest!" announced Marian as the contest began. The crowd cheered for the initiation ceremony of the competition as they were ready to see what the Coordinators would have to show with their Pokémon together.
"it started already" said Akira, as they all watch the stage where Marian announced the usual things in the contest.
"Our victorious Contest Coordinator will receive the prestigious Sandalstraw Ribbon! And after five wins, a Coordinator is eligible to enter the Grand Festival!" Marian explained before she turned to the three judges watching the Contest also.
"And now, it is my distinct honor to introduce you our panel of judges! Our Head Judge, Mr. Contesta!" Marian announced, as the Head Judge spoke his words.
"Thank you! I can't wait to thrill to the many brilliant performances I'm sure, are in store for us today!" Mr. Contesta commented before Marian gestured to the second judge, who was Mr. Sukizo.
"Next, from the Pokémon Fan Club, Mr. Sukizo!" Marian announced.
"Sandalstraw Town's remarkable!" Mr. Sukizo commented before the attention was turned to Nurse Joy.
"And finally, Sandalstraw Town's own Nurse Joy!" Marian added as the nurse spoke her words.
"Thank you! And I wish the Pokémon and their Coordinators the best of luck!" said Nurse joy with a smile before the crowds cheered for them.
"now then! going into the performance round on the first! We would have never thought to see her! Give it up for the daughter of Sinnoh and Unova Champion Master, Shirina!" Marian called out before she gestured to the curtains which unveiled themselves.
"Nee-chan got the first?!" said Osamu, surprised.
"bad luck already, huh?" added Kenji.
Everyone watched the curtains unveiled and to their surprise, Shirona appeared herself.
"eeeh!?" exclaimed the crowds and everyone in surprise to see the Sinnoh Champion herself and not Shirina.
At Chocovine town, Ken and Shirona were still having their vacation time in the town. The two were in an inn together, watching the television for the Sandalstraw contest.
"I think I need to wear glasses and buy hearing aids now" said Ken, seeing his wife on the tv while she is with him.
"that girl" said Shirona sighing while shaking her head once.
Everyone is surprised to see the appearance of Shirona on the stage, where in fact that she is just Shirina wearing a costume that look similar with her mother's.
"surprised?!" said Shirina as she waved her hands around to the crowd, revealing her identity.
Osamu and the others were really surprised when Shirina appeared on stage looking like Shirona, as they had thought the Sinnoh Champion Master was with them.
"that girl" said Akira while rubbing the bridge of her nose.
"your sister just loves to prank people sometimes" said Kenji to Osamu who awkwardly laugh embarrassed.
"well then!" said Shirina as she takes out a Capsule Ball with the Thunder Seal on before throwing it to the air. "come on out, Hitmonchan!"
The Capsule Ball opened and Hitmonchan appeared out of the Pokeball, accompanied with thunder everywhere, creating a powerful entrance.
"just seconds after her surprising appearances, Shirina has just called out her Hitmonchan who makes an entrance of a powerful hero!" announced Marian as everyone was wowed to see Hitmonchan's entrance.
"first up, Dynamic Punch on the ground!" said Shirina as Hitmonchan pulled back its right fist before sending it straight at the field, creating a vibrating shockwave everywhere that even the crowds could feel. "multiple times!"
Hitmonchan started to unleash a relentless amount of Dynamic Punch at the ground, creating a tremor equal to that of an Earthquake.
"what is neechan doing?!" said Osamu as everyone felt the vibration that keeps on shaking the place.
"is she planning to destroy the place or something?!" said Akira while holding on to his seat.
"just what is Shiri thinking?!" shouted Kirika
sand started to fly everywhere around Hitmonchan as the Dynamic Punch is making a cloud of sand everywhere.
"next up is a punch to the air!" said Shirina as Hitmonchan pulls back its right fist before sending its punch into the air as commanded, the power of the punch causes a gale of wind just to blow the sand upwards like a jet stream.
"Who would've thought that making the Dynamic Punch go to the ground to make up some dust cover the field is to show just how much power that Hitmonchan has in its punches! I think we're witnessing a new presentation style! Awesome!" Marian announced brightly.
"follow it up with Thunder Punch!" said Shirina while punching her fists together as Hitmonchan did the same action.
The collision of two Thunder Punch going against together causes sparks of electricity to fly everywhere, lighting Hitmonchan's fists into an electric glow.
"no way" said Ken, surprised to see his daughter and Hitmonchan's performance.
"I never thought that Shirina has this hidden potential in her" Shirona added, utterly surprised as her husband.
The audience began to applause Shirina and Hitmonchan as the judges applauded too.
"Truly an innovative and enjoyable presentation that really brought out Hitmonchan's raw strength and skills!" Mr. Contesta commented, showing how impressed he was by the performance.
"powerful and remarkable!" Mr. Sukizo commented simply.
"the entrance, the climax, and the ending! It was amazing!" said Nurse Joy while clapping her hands.
Shirina and Hitmonchan waved their hands around to the crowds before they left the stage.
"that was…." Said Kenji while looking amazed
"I had no idea that Shirina can make such a performance with no practice" said Kirika, surprised by how her best friend managed to pull such an act.
"have she ever practiced with Hitmonchan before?" Akira asked Osamu who shakes his head.
"now that her performance is finished, onto our next Coordinator!" Marian called out as the contest continues.
The time passed as every Coordinator performed their round in the contest to the point that the judges now will determine who will get to pass to the second round.
Osamu and the others went to the waiting room where Shirina and the others were waiting at.
"What did you think?! Even Contest can be easy as Gym Battles!" said Shirina with a happy grin as she believed that the performance that she and Hitmonchan made, will sure win them the spot for the second round.
"yes yes, you made your point, Shiri" said Kirika with a smile to her best friend.
"seriously, neechan" said Osamu "you gave everyone a surprise when you dressed like Mama"
"a spitting image, right?" said Shirina with a snicker before her Poketch suddenly rings. She looks at the caller as it is from Ken. She answered the call as Ken with Shirona appeared on her Poketch's screen.
"I have no idea where to start with this call" said Ken while rolling his eyes before looking at Shirona beside him. "I think you better take this one, Shirona"
"did something happen to Osamu?" asked Shirona, thinking that something happened to the young boy and Shirina would be taking his place in the contest instead of him. "did his eye got hurt again?"
"I'm fine, Mama" said Osamu to his mother while appearing in the call with Shirina. "Neechan is just taking my place because the town's doctor said that I can't participate with just one side of my vision."
"I see, the doctor is right, Osamu" said Shirona. "even for anyone, just having one side of your vision can cause many big accidents, you know."
"I know, Mama" said Osamu while pouting a bit.
"we'll be calling later. The Contest's announcement should be reporting in any minute by now" said Ken before giving a smile to Shirina. "I can tell that you and Hitmonchan got in, Shirina. Don't let Osamu down."
"you got it!" said Shirina with a grin as Ken nodded before hanging up the call.
Just as the call got hanged up, Marian appeared on the tv screen.
"Ladies and gentlemen! Our long and suspenseful wait is over! After careful consideration by our panel of judges, we now present on screen: the eight talented Coordinators who will be moving onto the second round!" Marian announced.
As she finished her announcement, the big screen showed the pictures of the eight Coordinators that were battling for the Sandalstraw Ribbon at the second round!

Seeing Shirina's face on the screen made Kirika and Akira's jaws dropped, as they believed that she wouldn't be able to get in for the next round.
"can you pinch my hand? I think I'm dreaming" said Kirika while holding up her right hand to Akira who pinched it.
"do you feel the pain?" asked Akira as Kirika nodded.
"hehehehe! How about that?!" said Shirina with a big and happy smile.
"well done, Shirina-san" said Miyuki, congratulating Shirina on getting to the second round.
"could this be one of those passed trait from Ken-san?" said Minny, thinking that Ken's ability to win Contest and Gyms were passed onto both Shirina and Osamu. "but all matter, that is amazing…..in getting last place that is"
"let's hope that she can pass the battle round" said Kenji as Osamu nodded, a Contest Battle is different from a Gym Battle after all.
The screen shuffled the cards together before the pairings for the Battle Stage were revealed.

"ho? If I finish my opponent, I'll get to face Minny, huh?" said Shirina with a grin as Minny sweatdropped, knowing just how much of a battle enthusiast the blonde girl is.
"we pray that you might survive" said Kenji while doing a prayer.
"I ain't going to die, stupid Kenji!" exclaimed Minny, all angry.
"And now, it's time for the Battle Stage! With a five minute time limit on the clock, Coordinators must land their attacks as stylishly as possible, while lowering their opponent's points in the process! So, sit back and enjoy the fantastic display of moves we're sure to see!" Marian announced.
Time passed by as the first round was going quite well. Shirina had called out her Golurk for the battle round, and it could be said that the battle was too easy for her.
"and then! A Dynamic Punch!" said Shirina as Golurk pulls back its right fist back before sending it straight at her opponent's Rhydon who was sent flying to the air before crashing to the ground, knocked out.
"it's a battle off! Shirina and her Golurk are moving on to the next round!" said Marian, the crowds applauding her. Shirina grins while Golurk pumps its fist up.
"this battle was a bit one sided, don't you think?" said Kirika with a sweatdrop as Shirina's opponent's Rhydon only knew Normal moves, all of which are not effective against a Ghost/Ground Type like Golurk.
"way one sided" said Kenji as he felt pity for Shirina's opponent.
The contest continued as Minny and Miyuki defeated their opponents with the advantage of their Pokemons being more powerful than their opponents'.
With the first round of the Battle Stage being finished, it was now up to the semi-finals.

So far, Shirina and Minny are at a tie of points, both having Golurk face against Luxray. As the battle went on, Shirina made the next call for an attack.
"sorry for this one, Luxray! But Golurk won't be holding back for anything!" said Shirina with a grin before swinging her right hand to the side. "Golurk! Gyro Ball!"
Golurk started spinning as the Automaton Pokemon heads straight for Luxray.
"I don't think so, Shirina-san!" exclaimed Minny "Luxray! Charge Beam!"
Luxray's eyes glows before the Gleam Eyes Pokemon fired an electrical beam right at Golurk's Gyro Spin
"Gyro Ball clashes with Charge beam, who will take out who!?" announced Marian as both participants' points got decreased.
"Go! Golurk!" exclaimed Shirina as Golurk started spinning even faster before going straight towards Luxray.
"you got to be kidding me!" said Minny as she and Luxray look surprised before Golurk's Gyro Ball landed a direct hit. Luxray went flying from the attack while crying out in pain. "Luxray!"
Before long, the timer hits zero as the match is over
"Time's up! And the team that will be moving onto the final round is...!" announced Marian as everyone looks at the match point and sees that Shirina's points were more than that of Minny's
"Shirina and Golurk!" Marian announced as the screen showed Shirina and Golurk as the winners of the match.
At being called as the winners for the battle, Shirina cheered as so did her Golurk.
"alright, Golurk!" said Shirina as Golurk nodded before raising up its fists.
"looks like we still got a long way to go for the both of us, Luxray" said Minny while caressing Luxray's head, the Gleam Eyes Pokemon nodded with a low growl.
The match continued as Miyuki's Gardevoir defeated her opponent's Muk with its own move.
"send it back!" said Miyuki as Gardevoir had used its Psychic to catch all Muk's Sludge Bomb before firing it back at the Poison type Pokemon.
"Muk!" Miyuki's Opponent exclaimed as his Muk got taken out by its own move.
"it's a Battle off! Miyuki and Gardevoir are going for the next round!" said Marian as Miyuki and Gardevoir won their round and are going to the finals where they shall be battling Shirina and Golurk.
"way to go, Miyuki-chan!" said Kirika, cheering for the girl. "do your best against, Shiri!"
"is that anyway to cheer her?" said Akira while sweatdropping.
"Miyuki's Gardevoir is Fairy/ Psychic type while your big sister's Golurk is Ghost/Ground type" said Kenji, noting how the two have different yet advantage type pokemons. "this might be a who know to win match"
"probably" said Osamu with an awkward smile while Ralts is letting out happy cries to Gardevoir.
At the waiting room, Shirina with Minny watched the match as they applauded her
"So it's me and Miyuki in the finals, huh?" said Shirina before taking out her Golurk's Pokeball and smiled to it. "let's go, Golurk"
"please have some restraints" said Minny, her Luxray getting the receiving end of Golurk's powerful attacks. Shirina snickers before she heads to the door but not after giving Minny a smirk.
"never understood the word!" said Shirina before heading out
Minny joined Osamu and the others in the sidelines as they were going to cheer on for both Shirina and Miyuki on the final round.
"We're now nearing the end of the Sandalstraw Contest! Our two final round Coordinators are... On one side, Hikaru! And the other, Minny! One of these two Coordinators will win the Sandalstraw Ribbon! We've got five minutes on the clock... so let's go!" Marian called out.
The clock began to tick down, allowing the battle to begin.
"dance Gardevoir!" Miyuki called out as she throws a capsule ball into the air, revealing Gardevoir in a flowed filled entrance.
"come on, Golurk!" shouted Shirina as her capsule ball flies into the air before open to reveal Golurk in a thunder filled entrance.
"sorry, Miyuki! Even if you are my future sister in law, me and Golurk won't be holding back one bit!" said Shirina with a grin.
"please don't say that!" said Miyuki, embarrassed while blushing red.
"Gyro Ball! Go!" said Shirina as Golurk started spinning and heads straight for Gardevoir.
"use Psychic!" said Miyuki as Gardevoir's eyes glowed blue before Golurk's Gyro Ball stopped and the Automaton Pokemon froze in its place.
"what!?" said Shirina surprised as her points got decreased from the failed move.
"fling him back!" said Miyuki as Gardevoir raises her hands in front, Golurk was instantly sent flying back, making Shirina's point gets decreased even more.
"just when Shirina started things off with Golurk, Miyuki and Gardevoir counters their attempts flawlessly!" commented Marian as Golurk got back up.
"as expected from Miyuki, huh?" said Shirina with a smile. "but I won't be backing down!"
"I can say the same, Shirina-san!" replied Miyuki before she swung her right hand forward. "Gardevoir! Moon Blast!"
Gardevoir started to collect energy into a pink energy sphere before the Embrace Pokemon fires it at Golurk.
"let's see if this trick of Papa works, Golurk!" said Shirina before pumping her right fist upwards. "deflect that Moon Blast back with a Dynamic Punch!"
Golurk pulls back its right fist before sending it straight at the incoming Moon Blast that exploded upon contact with the Dynamic Punch.
"what?!" said Shirina as Golurk staggered back from the punch with the Moon Blast, her points getting decreased from her effort.
"just when Gardevoir sends her Moonblast and Golurk's Dynamic Punch is going to deflect it, the attacks collided and explode against Golurk!" said Marian as Golurk got back up before punching its fists together.
"my Arceus…that kind of trick needs timing, precision, and lots of practice, Shirina" said Ken, the man rubbing his forehead and then the bridge of his nose to see his daughter trying to copy one of his techniques with his Golurk.
"that girl needs some talk after the contest is over" said Shirona sighing as Shirina will try things without even practicing which is a bad thing for her.
"neechan" said Osamu while face palming to see his sister and Golurk failing in copying one of their father's attack techniques.
"Didn't expect her to try pull that off in a Contest..." said Kirika as Akira nodded, both knew that Shirina likes trying new things without even practicing beforehand.
"looks like I have to go with an old trick! Ice Punch!" said Shirina as Golurk started to charge towards Gardevoir with its right fist pulled back and is coated with a veil of cold air.
"Gardevoir! Stop Golurk with Psychic!" said Miyuki as Gardevoir's eyes glowed before Golurk froze in its place again. Shirina's points getting decreased from another failed attack. "and then fling him up!"
Golurk went flying in the air as the Automaton Pokemon went straight for the ceiling.
"Golurk! Now! Fly!" exclaimed Shirina as Golurk nodded before its hands and legs got inside its body before the Automaton Pokemon started to fly away before heading straight for Gardevoir.
"Gardevoir! Moon Blast!" said Miyuki as Gardevoir started charging its pink energy sphere in the palm of its hands.
"let's do the same! Shadow Ball!" said Shirina as Golurk charges energy into a black energy sphere.
The two Pokemons fired their attacks against each other, resulting in a collision of power that resulted in a big explosion of smoke.
Shirina and Miyuki shielded their eyes from the spreading smoke as their points got decreased a bit from their attacks colliding against each other.
"Shadow Ball against Moon Blast results in a big explosion! This is a real battle to the max!" Marian announced as the crowds cheered.
"use Dynamic Punch!" Shirina shouted out as Golurk flies towards Gardevoir with its right fist pulled back.
"Psychic!" exclaimed Miyuki as Gardevoir stops Golurk's attack yet again, causing Shirina's point to be decreased
"not yet! Break through that Psychic, Golurk!" said Shirina as Golurk started to move even with its body getting frozen by the Psychic, the Automaton Pokemon trying its best to move.
"hold him back, Gardevoir!" said Miyuki as Gardevoir tries its best to hold back Golurk from moving but the Automaton Pokemon proves to be a very strong foe.
"go! Golurk!" exclaimed Shirina as Golurk breaks free from the Psychic hold before rocketing towards Gardevoir at highspeed.
"Gardevoir! Moon Blast! Hurry!" exclaimed Miyuki as Gardevoir started to prepare its Moon Blast.
"full on power, Golurk!" stated Shirina before punching out her right fist forward. "Dynamic Punch!"
Golurk pulls back its right fist as the Automaton Pokemon rockets towards Gardevoir.
Gardevoir fired the Moon Blast as the attack went straight at Golurk who sends its Dynamic Punch straight at the incoming energy sphere. Golurk grunted as the Dynamic Punch collides with the Moon Blast before the energy sphere got sent flying back at Gardevoir.
"that's!" exclaimed Miyuki and the others in surprise as Gardevoir got hit by the deflected Moon Blast before crying out in pain while covered in smoke.
"what a show! Shirina's Golurk has just performed one of the many tricks that the Counter Master, Ken's Golurk is known to be very expert at!" said Marian as everyone started cheering like crazy while Miyuki's points get decreased a lot.
"Gardevoir!" Miyuki called out as Gardevoir staggered a bit in pain from the deflected Moon Blast that hits her back hard.
"let's keep it going, Golurk!" said Shirina with a grin before swinging a hand forward. "Shadow Ball!"
Golurk started to charge energy into a black sphere in its hands and was about to fire it, but the timer rang as the battle reached the time limit.
"time is up! The battle is over!" Marian announced, as the timer reached zero.
"what?! Just a bit more!" whined Shirina, not liking the fact that she couldn't continue the battle.
"now then! Let us see who wins the Sandalstraw contest!" announced Marian as everyone watched the screen and it showed both participants' points where Miyuki's points were more than that of Shirina. "it's Miyuki and Gardevoir!"
the crowds started clapping their hands as they applauded Miyuki's victory.
"looks like you won, Miyuki" said Shirina as she and Golurk went to her.
"yes, thank you very much for the great battle" said Miyuki before doing a short bow
Later, Miyuki with Gardevoir and Frosslas at her side waited as they stood in front of the judges.
"And now, the Executive Director of the Pokémon Contest, Mr. Contesta, will present our winner, Miyuki, with the Sandalstraw Ribbon!" Marian announced as the Executive Director did so, presenting Miyuki her wonned Contest Ribbon.
"Here you go! Your first and second stage performances were astounding and great for all of us to see!" Mr. Contesta spoke proudly, as Miyuki smiled and accepted her third Contest achievement.
"Thank you very much, sir." Said Miyuki as she bowed in gratitude before raising up her contest ribbon for the crowds who applauded her.
By the time the Sandalstraw Contest was over, the sun was already setting down. And with the event done, everyone headed back to the Pokémon Center to get some rest after the event they had to go through.
Shirina with Osamu was on a phone call with their parents who looks very proud.
"managing to get into the second round while passing the first round is one thing, but seeing you go through like how I did in the past, is really something, Shirina" said Ken, the father having a proud smile on his daughter.
"thanks, Papa" said Shirina with a grin.
"looks like Osamu might have a new rival if Shirina decides to go for Pokemon Contests" said Shirona to her son, thinking of the possibility of Shirina liking Pokemon Contest.
"I hope not" said Osamu with an awkward smile, not liking the idea of battling his big sister in a contest battle.
"there are several Pokemon Contests still opened on your way to Snowpoint city" said Ken as a map image appeared, showing several places which were holding Pokemon Contests. "I'm sure that with time, you all get the ribbons you need to get to the Grand Festival like Akira"
"there's 4 more on our way" said Shirina checking the map as so did Osamu.
"good luck, Osamu. We'll be rooting for you" said Shirona with a smile as Osamu nodded
"and get stronger for your gym battle, Shirona" said Ken with a small smirk. "the Sinnoh League isn't a walk in the park"
"you betcha!" said Shirina with a grin as Ken and Shirona nodded before the call got hanged up.
Soon, Shirina and Osamu joined in on Kirika and the others as they were chatting around.
"finished?" said Akira as Shirina nodded.
"we're good to go!" said Shirina with a smile.
"good" said Akira before looking to Kirika who nodded back.
"let's go!" said Kirika as Shirina nodded
the group soon prepared to leave for the next town as there is a Pokemon Contest just waiting for them.
