Sakura: I draw!

Sakura grabbed the tip of her deck and quickly drew a card from her deck. She was so fast that you could only see streaks of brown as she took the card.

Sakura: How quaint.

Sakura said as she drew her first card. She shuffled around her cards in her hands and she considered her next move.

Reishi: (I wonder what kind of deck she plays….)

Sakura: Before we start…. You.

Reishi: Yes?

Sakura: You're the daughter of Reiji sakamoto? Right?

Reishi: Yes. My father is a world class champion just like your mentor Jean Smith.

Sakura: Hmph. Your father is quite the man. He gave up dueling in order to travel the world am I not correct?

Reishi: I guess you could say that.

Reishi: -But didn't jean smith quit recently to enter politics or something? (At least that's what Fumi told me…)

Sakura: I guess you could say that as well.

There was an awkward silence.

Reishi: Heh, Now that I think about it, you and I might have a lot in com-

Sakura: Don't finish that sentence.

Sakura: Me and you have NOTHING in common.

She yelled.

Sakura: You're a spoiled brat who had everything handed to her on a silver platter.

Sakura: I had to struggle to get where I am. Steal food, beg on the streets, even stowaway on a shop to get to america where I met Smith-sensei.

Reishi: (...)

Reishi didn't know how to respond to sakura's query.

Reishi: I-I think we've gotten off on the wrong foot-

Sakura: No we haven't.

Sakura responded.

Sakura: The truth is, I knew who you were even before this tournament. I despise you.

Sakura: You're just a spoiled rich girl who got to where you are because of daddy's money.

Reishi: Woah… Hostility much.

Sakura: Hmph. All of your past wins in tournaments have been suspect. You're a fraud.

Reishi: Y-You. You don't even know me.

Sakura: I might not. -But I do know what you represent. A bourgeois child who got to where she is from class privilege.

Sakura stared reishi down with the fire of a thousand suns. The tension between the two reached a boiling point as the began.

Sakura: Now then, Let's start this off with a blast! I summon Cherry Bombsom - Cluster!

Flower pedals swarmed the fields as a fierce holographic wind began to swell up. These flowers covered up the beast that was about to appear.

Reishi: Ah!

A true amalgamation of a monster appeared in front of reishi. It was a long humanoid monster with black bombs for a torso and another black bomb for a head. In fact, Black bombs made up its entire body as the only part untainted by an explosive was its head which was made up of cherry blossoms.

Sakura: When cluster is summoned I can summon another cherry bombsom monster from my hand!

Sakura: Come! Cherry Bombsom - Dynamite!

Another 'Bombsom' monster appeared. This time it was a bunch of dynamite sticks strung together into a humanoid form. It had two antennae sticking out of its head, cementing a bug-like appearance that disturbed reishi.

Sakura: Then I'll set one card face down and end my turn!

A facedown appeared in front of sakura as she ended her turn. She sighed as reishi's turn began.

Reishi: That's it? Nothing else to do?

Sakura: Does there have to be more? Do my actions not please you, your majesty?

Sakura replied sarcastically.

Reishi: Ok gee. You don't have to be like that…

Reishi: (Although I guess, there's nothing she can do. Both of her monster have lower attack than mine)

Reishi realized.

Reishi: (I get the feeling this is a trap. I'll have to be careful going forward….)

Reishi: I draw!

She drew a card from her deck and carefully plotted out her next move.

Reishi: Hmmm….

Reishi: I activate a spell card - Night Beam!

Reishi: This card destroys one set spell or trap card on the field!

A spell card appeared on the field. Its artwork depicted a card being targeted by a laser.

Sakura: …!

Sakura flinched.

Reishi: -And you can't activate in response to this card!

A yellow laser came from the sky and targeted sakura's face down card. It disappeared for a second before coming back again and transforming into a shining golden beam that completely dispersed the card.

The card had been mirror force, a potentially devastating trap.

Reishi: (Whew, good thing I activated this before I attacked.)

Sakura: Dammit.

Reishi: Now then, I'll summon Musicgal - Classic!

Reishi slammed a monster card onto her duel disk. A summoning portal opened up in front of her and a cute monster. It was a small girl wearing a french-style dress that covered her body. She had drill-like green hair that was reminiscent of hattori in a way. She held a eighth note in her right hand which signified her classicalness and weaponry. She was classical in the sense that she's a normal monster with no effect.

Reishi: (Ok, I have two options here. I could attack cluster first with hearth-harp then attack mite or I could attack dyno-mite with hearth harp and do more damage.)

Reishi: (In one case, I destroy both monsters but do less damage, in the other, I destroy only one monster but do less.)

Reishi: (Hmm.)

She thought about it carefully.

Reishi: (It's probably better if I take both of them out. I don't know what these monster can do, after all.)

Reishi formulated.

Reishi: Hearth harp! Attack Cherry Bombsom Cluster!

*Hummmm*

The songstress strummed her harp and a melodious tune came out of the instrument. The tune was more than a sweet sound however as sparks began to come from the strings. These sparks formed a fireball, which flung itself across the field! It struck the cluster right in its abdomen causing a huge explosion.

Sakura: Dyna-Mite's effect activates!

Sakura stretched out her arm. Her eyes filled with a burning passion.

Sakura: When it's destroyed by battle, I can sacrifice another monster to activate its ability!

Reishi: Nani?

Both Dyna-mite and Cluster began to glow red. There bodies were enveloped in an overwhelming heat that could only be described as 'scorching'

Sakura: By this Measure, I can destroy all monsters on the field?

Reishi: Ah, Crap.

Reishi sighed.

Both of the monsters bodies began to glow into bright white form as a melodious ticking sound began to be heard.

*KABOOM*
Their bodies both exploded with a furious explosion that covered the field in holographic dust and ash. Both of reishi monsters were destroyed and her pride went with it.

Reishi: Damn.

Reishi:(Why didn't this coming? They're LITERALLY made of dynamite.)

She admonished herself.

Sakura: The explosion. You know what It represents, right? The end is near.

Reishi: You don't have to be so dramatic, you know. What did I ever do to you?

Sakura: It's not about what you've done. It's about what you don't do.

Sakura scoffed.

Sakura: You sit in your mighty high castle and look down on us peasants as if we are scum. Its disgusting.

Reishi: Why do you assume so much about me? We've just met!

Reishi exclaimed.

Sakura: Reishi…. You don't get it do you?
