Sheldon and Leonard are dormmates. With Howard and Raj constantly hanging out at Leonard's dorm did Sheldon eventually became their friend.
Amy luckily occupies a dorm for two all by herself. Sheldon will sometimes invite himself in whenever he grew tiresome with the trio's antics. Amy is alarmed. When are boys allowed in her room?
Penny once asked Howard and Raj why they'd rather go to Leonard's dorm room instead of inviting Leonard to theirs. They reasoned it's fun to tease and mess with Sheldon. Penny scoffed in agreement.
Penny and Bernadette work at the Cheesecake Factory for their studies. Amy, Leonard and Sheldon are on grants and scholarships. Raj, and Howard are funded by their parents; Raj's family is vastly wealthy while Howard has an overbearing mother who doted on him all his life.
Each with different majors and schedule, you can find them sparsely in the library, café in the university's campus or at Cheesecake Factory where they wait for either Penny or Bernadette to finish their shift. The girls, sometimes the guys, help Penny with her studies as she struggle to balance work, school, and her ultimate goal of being an actress. She first thought of foregoing school, but thought she should be practical and at least pursue a degree if acting fails her.

A/N: Crazy all over the place TBBT gang in college!AU. Sheldon is a bit OOC since he does not mind in close proximity with Amy, but Amy does mind. I was thinking Leonard and Amy's family can afford college, but ultimately wanted to make their own way with the scholarships. Also, I think Penny will be struggling with her major and will eventually drop out. But, maybe the gang will help her?
