I don't know when I stopped or when I had fallen asleep but when I woke up I was in the Hera cabin, sitting next to my bed on the floor, being cradled by Damian.
"Mmm," I groaned as I tried to lift my head. A sharp pain shot up the back of my neck causing my head to go back down.
"Hey, you're awake," I heard Damian whisper.
"What?" I opened my eyes and had to squint to see him. "What happened?"
"Well, um, you were talking to a cyclops, you killed him, something started talking, you screamed, and now you're here. No one's sure what happened but you wouldn't stop screaming. They tried to take you from me but you screamed louder and clung to me. I told them to leave you alone but they wouldn't so I came here and eventually you calmed down and fell asleep on me."
I tried to sit up but once again a sharp pain kept that from happening. I turned my head towards his and saw he had a busted lip. I went to touch it but he flinched. "I-I'm sorry. D-did I do that?" I asked.
"No, Travis got mad and punched me for not letting you go," Damian laughed, which seemed to hurt. I frowned and went to touch the sore spot again, but this time Damian didn't flinch. I gently rested my hand on it and healed it until you couldn't even tell anything had happened.
That's when I noticed all the other cuts on his body. He hadn't even cleaned up from the fight, he came straight here. "That army!" I gasped, "What happened to them?"
"No one knows. They just left after that voice did." I breathed a sigh of relief.
I leaned my head against Damian again and slowly began to heal all his cuts.
"You shouldn't do that, you need to rest and I don't think that's helping," Damian said.
"Shut up, I don't care."
Damian let out a breath, "You're annoying."
"I know."
We sat in silence just enjoying each other's company, {(EN: SHIPPPPP)} when I finally broke the silence, "What time is it? Oh, and what day is it?"
"Uh," He looked at his watch, "It's 10:47 PM, February the eleventh."
"What!" I said sitting up.
"Don't worry they postponed the capture the flag game until tomorrow."
"No, it's not that, it's February eleventh! Some people believe that Friday the thirteenth is bad, but it's always been February the eleventh for me. Every bad thing that has ever happened to me has happened on this day. Oh no, oh no no no." I shook my head.
"What happens on February eleventh?" Damian asked.
I looked him straight in the eye and said, "Today was the day I killed my parents and brother, today is also the day I came to camp, and now this! Why today? Why, why, why?"
"Well all that matters is that you're okay now, isn't it?" Damian pulled me closer.
I took a deep breath. "I guess. Hey, where's Coral?" I asked.
"I think she might be with Katie, she never came to the cabin so I'm guessing that's where she is."
"I want to go see her," I said, getting up.
Damian pulled me back down, "It's too late, we'll get her in the morning."
I looked at him, a frown on my face.
"What?" Damian asked.
"J-Jamie said that," I choked.
"Huh?"
"Y-Yeah, that day I had gotten really mad and blew up the pavilion, when I woke up Jamie was sitting next to my bed, sleeping. After he woke up I said I wanted to go get Coral a-and he said: "It's too late, we'll get her in the morning."
"Hey," Damian comforted, "Calm down, how about you tell me about him? What was Jamie like?"
I looked at him confused. Why would he want to know about Jamie? He hates him. "Well, uh…" I started talking about the time at Thalia's tree and how embarrassing it was, how he had followed me into the Hera cabin and ended up getting sick, and lots of other things about my old friend. We started laughing when I told him about the whole alarm clock fiasco.
"Hey, why did you ask about Jamie anyway," I said when we finally calmed down.
"Well, I wanted to know what he was like before you disappeared. I remember that when I came to camp that everyone told me not to bother him. Whenever I saw him he was always muttering things that no one could understand. He went mad after you left and he was always so mean that I wanted to know what he was like before."
"That bad, huh?"
"Yeah."
"Why did you save me?" I asked.
"I already told you, the camp needed you, you were their only hope."
"Everyone here hates me, they would never have accepted help from me. What's the real reason?" I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Fine," he said, "I was…drawn to you, I guess you could say. When I found out about you, all I could think of was you. I'm not sure why but I felt like I needed to see you, to talk to you." {(EN: MORE SHIPPP)}
"Ha, and now here you are, in my cabin, a few days after you saved me from a coma, having the best night of our lives," I laughed.
"Yeah, funny how life turns out doesn't it," Damian said, leaning back and resting his hands on the top of his head.
"Yeah," I sighed.
