Chapter 9: Self Discovery [Part 1]

A few days before the Quincy elite assassin team, infiltrated squad 1's head quarters. A meeting between The Soul King and His Royal Guards, occurred.

"Your Highness, we have found your granddaughter's reborn soul, Rukia Kuchiki-sama" Ichibe Hyosube said, as he bowed down along with other 4 squad 0 captains.

At that, the Soul King that was floating in a suspended tube, looked at Ichibe, and communicated to him via Telepathy.

"Rukia Kuchiki" the Soul King said with as much tenderness, missing his only son.

She was able to return to her father's clan

The King thought, as he reminisce the past, how he had tried to protect her granddaughters' soul from being impure, as she lived and died, over and over again for the past thousands of years.

The only privilege he have, as the Soul King.

Though, he was powerless to revive his son, that had been lost to another realm. A world, that is outside of his power.

"Shall we retrieve Rukia-sama, Your Highness?" Ichibe asked respectfully.

Silence met his query, as the Soul King thought about it.

"Just let her be." the Soul King communicated.

" That is probably what my son, wanted for his daughter" The Royal Guards listened attentively.

"To be able to live a normal life"

The Royal Guards' only duties, were to protect The Soul King and his family, and the Soul King Palace.

And thus, when the news about Rukia Kuchiki's delicate situation, reached the impotent King, he immediately ordered the entire squad 0 to retrieve his granddaughter, and her friends, along with Kurosaki Ichigo, the son of his 2nd son.

In a twisted sense, both his granddaughter and grandson, born from opposing fathers: one, a copy of another, met and become connected to one another.

This must be fate.

Something, he has no control over.
