Oh rapture! Bella was back in school today, though she probably should be on bedrest for a further fortnight just to be sure. She insisted she was fine and when I took her temperature with the infrared thermometer it was 98.8°, so her fever has subsided.
I was still not comfortable taking her to Port Angeles after school and insisted she rest instead. I made my way to the stores she recommended with a shopping list in hand. I managed to find the small ceramic plate, 6 black mens belts and 2 extra large button down shirts at the thrift store. It smelled like a retirement home in there, I didn't like it. I am going to wash the shirts three times.
At the dollar store I picked up the plastic flies and bugs from the halloween section, face paint crayons, glue and baby powder Bella said we would need.
Tomorrow we are supposed to be making costumes, but for tonight I shall work on my watercolours for the library and spend some time in town after dark. I hope that Bella is sleeping soundly while her body fights bravely against the virus waging war on it.
