Conversations on a Balcony

A/N: Folks seemed interested in hearing more about Brandon, so I just put together this bonus chapter!
Brandon leaned casually against the computer near the kitchen door, watching the two blonde women with the cute kids and amazing appetites.
"Dude," his buddy Charlie said, nudging him with his elbow. "You've gotta stop ogling the clientele!"
"I know," Brandon replied. "But holy fuck, they're hot as hell."
Charlie paused and glanced over at the table. "Mmmm… the younger one is gorgeous."
"Yeah, the older one is too but she also has that tiger in the sack vibe. I'm getting hard just thinking about it. Mmmmm… I'd definitely tap that... whether she wanted it or not."
The younger blonde's head turned immediately and her slightly narrowed eyes met Brandon's across the expanse of the dining room. He straightened and squared his shoulders. He could have sworn he'd seen a flash of orange in them.

"Our server thinks you're hot," Kara said casually to her wife as she focused back on Abby's drawings. "That's really pretty, Baby Girl. Great job."
"Are you… upset about that?" Cat asked uncertainly, lacing her fingers together in front of her.
"Am I happy that some guy is telling his buddy that he's... enthusiastic... for you? No, I'm not. However, if I had a…" Kara glanced at Abby. "One of those, I'd probably be... enthusiastic... for you all the time. So, I can't really blame him." She looked at her wife, smiling sexily at the half-lidded set of her eyes. "Is the feeling mutual, Darling?" she purred.
"Definitely," Cat murmured in response. Then she tilted her head curiously. "You've changed, Kara."
"I've had time to think and to work through some insecurities," the Kryptonian replied. "While I'm not thrilled that other people look at you like that, I know something that kinda makes it ok."
"And what's that?" the older blonde asked.
"I know that I'm the one you chose and I'm the only one who gets to sleep beside you." To reiterate her true meaning, Kara let her eyes roam slowly over her wife and licked her lips. Cat swallowed hard and then nodded, green eyes darkening.
"You do, Baby. And you're amazing." The older blonde watched as Kara leaned back and cleared her throat, focusing on Liv for a long moment. She'd turned herself on to an embarrassing degree and she suddenly grabbed her glass to gulp down some water, making Cat grin knowingly. "I guess we should go. Done at the office for the day?"
"Yeah, all done. I'm going back to maternity leave," the hero replied. She looked toward the kitchen as Brandon and his associate continued their conversation. "I just need to use the bathroom. Give me a sec."
"Sure," her wife replied, accepting the baby into her arms.
"Be right back."
Kara slid out of the booth and headed for the bathroom but, with a little burst of super speed she made it into the back alley and shot into the air, waiting a moment as her suit finished molding to her body. Then she landed next to Brandon, who was leaning against the wall, having a smoke.
"Supergirl!" he exclaimed, shocked to see her.
"That's me," Kara replied, fists perched on her hips as her crest glinted in the sunlight. "And I'm assuming you know that my powers include super hearing?"
"Yes," the server said nervously.
"I hear everything," Supergirl growled softly. "And I heard what you said in there just now." She took a step toward Brandon. "It's NEVER ok to say you're going to force a woman to do something, even if it's not your real intension. Have some respect. Don't let that stuff come out of your mouth or you may find yourself having a real cold day in space. Understood?"
Brandon clenched his shaking hands. "Y-yes, Ma'am."
Kara took a step back and nodded. "Good. Have a nice rest of your day." She shot off into the air again and hovered out of sight, watching as he crushed his cigarette under his shoe and went back inside, shaking his head.
A few moments later, she was happily pushing Liv out the door, holding Abby by the hand as Cat walked next to them.
Brandon couldn't meet their eyes.
