It was rather a nice day in Canterlot City today.

There was some light snow, but the streets had been cleared of any excess snow for the most part. With some still shovelling the area.

It was your usual busy day in Canterlot. With everyone commuting to their respective jobs and schools.

Ember, Adagio, Sonata and Aria were all en route to school themselves. Having just woke up and ready to head to school themselves. As Smolder had already been sent to the junior academy per Sugarbelle's request.

But they did find something that was a little off...

Flash was nowhere in sight.

Now, they remembered him saying that he was going to be out for a little while throughout the night. Something about "unfinished business" or something. Yet...

They had no idea whether or not he had actually come home that night. Because low and behold, he wasn't at the apartment at all.

So, that was a little odd.

"Any sign of him yet?" Sonata asked.

"Well, he hasn't picked up..." Ember explained, "But, he texted and said he was at school already."

Aria rolled his eyes, "Of course he is..."

Adagio grabbed Spike's carrier and her bag, sighing. "Maybe he just wanted to get to class early?" She shrugged, "I mean, it seems normal from him..."

Another Day, Another Dollar...

That was the seeming state of thought going through Mrs. Starscorder's mind.

She was being honest with herself, she so didn't want to be there. Especially now that those past few days have gone by. But I guess anyone would feel the same in her shoes.

She setting up for her Morning Art Class with the Sophomores. Shuffling papers around for whatever lesson and activity she had planned for the day.

That's when she came across one of the activities for the day...

"Improv Practice at the Auditorium."

She frowned and sighed. She forgot she had planned for that. And I mean could you blame her? I mean it wasn't like that was going to be happening anytime soon.

But maybe she was getting too ahead of herself?

*SLAM*

"MRS. STARSCORDER, MRS. STARSCORDER!"

The teacher widened her eyes as the door slammed open. Averting her attention from her sad thoughts. Looking to see one of her students standing at the door, her eyes lit up with excitement.

She quirked her eyebrow and lightly waved her hand, "Uh...Hi there, Zia," She said softly, "What can I do for you?"

"YOU HAVE TO COME QUICK! IT'S A MIRACLE!"

Now that was a bold statement of the student, as Mrs. Starscorder found it. She widened her eyes a little, but before she could even so much as respond. She was suddenly jerked forward, as Zia grabbed the teacher's hand and ran her over there.

"Hey!" The teacher yelped, getting a little sterner, "Zia what is the meaning of this, let me go!"

But despite her protest, the student continued. Pulling her to someplace that for the last day had been pretty ominous...

Well, not anymore...

Zia pushed the door opened, revealing the auditorium

The very clean, decorated...

Auditorium...

Mrs. Starscorder's heart dropped, stunned immediately by what she saw.

Her eyes widened, looking around to see that the entire auditorium was spotless. Not a drop of paint insight...

It didn't smell like rotten eggs anymore. And...

"W-What?..."

The Play Sets! The Play Sets had been completely restored! Re-Painted, fixed up, improved even! Everything was as it was left just a few days prior.

And she couldn't believe what she was seeing, "But...But it was...and...I..." She stammered, unable to process what was going on.

There were tons of questions racing in her mind.

How did the entire auditorium be cleaned restored within such a timeframe?

When did any of this take place?

And most importantly:

Who was responsible for this?

Sunset was still sort of sour from yesterday...

I mean, it wasn't the best day now was it?

Well, I guess the week had been pretty sour if she was being honest...

She and everyone else had been caught in the crossfire of a chaotic prank. The school play; the one thing she was really looking forward to was cancelled.

And most importantly, she was completely manhandled by Mr. You know who, yesterday. Right in front of some of the students yesterday,

She was pissed, she had never been so embarrassed in her life...

Her teeth were grit, as she carried a bucket of ice-cold water. Stomping towards the entrance of the rooftop...

Opening the door...

She found Flash Sentry, leaned up against the wall, and used his jacket as a fast asleep blanket. His hair a mess and some black rings around his eyes, signifying how tired he was...

As if she cared, though.

Mr. Armor had asked her to go fetch him on the account of him being late as usual. And she had found him asleep out there again. So unwilling to repeat what she had done the last time when trying to wake him up, she had a new strategy.

Drench him...

Without any hesitation, Sunset splashed the bucket of water into Flash's face. Hitting him with icy cold water on that snowy day,

And because he was off-guard, he actually felt it.

Flash screamed and slammed his eyes opened. Getting up as he was drenched. Panting as he turned to glare at Sunset, reacting as usual.

"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!?" He snarled.

Again, she didn't care. She just turned and kept walking, ignoring Flash's yells.

Flash arched his eyebrow to that, "I know you can hear me!" He quipped, "What's your problem!?"

Sunset grunted and turned her head, just glaring at Flash as a response. Again, much to his initial confusion.

Before he caught on.

"Oh," He smirked, "I see..."

She just turned around and walked off, with the Saiyan following her closely. Now beginning to mock her. "Somebody's mad cause they didn't get their way."

Again, she didn't respond. Just silently walking along with an angered expression across her face.

Flash chuckled slyly, "Or are you just depressed cause that dumb play got cancelled?"

Sunset grunted again and glared at Flash, "Do you ever shut up!?"

Flash smirked slyly, musing to himself. "Here we go..."

"Look, didn't I already say that you won?! You were right we were wrong! Why are you dragging this on and on you...you dick!"

Flash rolled his eyes, "Oh yeah, I'm dragging it on. She said after throwing water on me..."

She scowled at Flash, rolling her eyes in response, "Whatever..."

The walk from the top floor to the bottom was pretty quiet after that. As obviously neither liked each other or had anything in common...

They made it to class. Whereof course, the mood was a little low. With everyone trying to stay as optimistic as possible. Though the reminiscence of yesterday's hectic day still resided.

And given that Flash played a huge role in that. When they saw him enter the class, they weren't so happy to see him. Along with that, they were still mad at him for the way he talked to the teacher yesterday.

But...

No one really felt like confronting him at all. I mean, there was really no point now. At this point, it would probably be exactly what he wanted.

Adagio and the rest of the Dragons were also there. And they were very confused about what was going on, as of course, they didn't actually go to school yesterday...

So she approached Flash, handing him Spike in the process, "What's going on here, why's everyone so down?" She asked.

Flash shrugged oh so ever carefreely. "Eh, don't worry about it. It's nothing serious."

Now they saw what he was doing. He was purposely speaking out loud and mocking everyone for the way they treated him yesterday. And you wouldn't be wrong and assume that most of them wanted to punch him for that.

Ember arched her eyebrow, as she could also clearly see that Flash was acting a lot smugger than usual, "Uh, are you okay?"

"Fine, never been better actually." Flash beamed, "It's just such a good day today. The birds are out flying, it isn't too cold." Flash chuckled, "I'm feeling great."

Sunflower (the only other student who wasn't mad at him as the rest) watched as Flash was just having the time of his life. Laughing and smiling so enthusiastically.

She'd never seen that from him before.

She felt awkward, as of course, Flash was her friend...but at the same time, she's also the cousin of the one who was really mad at him.

Aria couldn't help but scowl with a confused look, thinking to herself. "Man he's acting even more obnoxious than usual..." So she popped a question, "Um, what exactly-"

"I'm gonna have to stop you right there," Flash said nonchalantly.

Aria widened her eyes and arched her eyebrows, "What but I haven't even-"

"Sorry."

I-"

"No..."

Aria was now at a loss for words. Something was definitely up, but she couldn't figure out what it was.

Flash turned around and headed for his seat, walking up the steps with Spike in his arms. As Baby only seemed neutral with the way Flash was acting at the moment...

Sonata arched her eyebrow, as though she was the kooky one of the group. She couldn't help but feel that Flash was acting sort of off.

"What's gotten into him?" She asked dumbfoundedly.

"I don't know..." Adagio said, before smirking a little, "But, it is a breath of fresh air to see him not grouchy all the time."

But just as Flash's mood was good, a bombshell announcement was about to be made...

## Good Morning Lodestar Students. I hope you all are having a wonderful morning ##

said Dean Sugarbelle

## I would like to take the time to acknowledge that this week has not been the best. It certainly has been filled with tons of hectic events. And as well all know, the school had seen a chaotic prank. And things had gotten so bad that the play ended up getting cancelled as a result. ##

The students all frowned. Of course, they were bound to be reminded of what this week had been like.

But she had more to say...

## But on that note, I am proud to announce that the School Play is going back into production! ##

Everyone widened their eyes to that. Not expecting things to take a turn like that!

## Due to one Student's extraordinary efforts, the entire auditorium was cleaned up and all the props and sets for this upcoming play have been fully restored! ##

Now that was definitely some news to the entire class, heck the entire school and staff. Who could've possibly had the time to do all of that with such a timeframe.

## So in light of all of this. Lodestar High extends their gratitude to Flash Sentry for his successful clean-up effort. And we would also like to recognize his perseverance in performing such a daunting task. ##

Flash's heart basically dropped

His eyes widened to the size of dishes, as he yelped in shock, "WHAT!?" He turned and glared at the PA Speaker.

Meanwhile, the entire class just went completely silent. Not believing what they had just heard. All slowly looking at Flash as he stood there, a little red now as he could not believe what Sugarbelle just said.

He acted out of instinct. He turned around and headed right for the door, handing Spike back to Adagio as he charged for the office, "o, no, NO!" He mused.

He used his super-speed seeing how nobody was around. Only took him a few seconds to make it there.

Likewise, he kicked the door opened and screamed at Sugarbelle.

"HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIN-"

"THANK YOU!"

Flash widened his eyes as Mrs. Starscorder cried out in profound bliss, immediately lunging at him for a hug. A very tight one might I add.

Flash yelped again. Before Sugarbelle gave him a smug look and shrugged, "You're acting like I said something wrong."

Flash glared at her. Freeing himself from the drama teacher's grasp. "Yeah, you did!" He sternly said, "How could you possibly prove that-"

"Your student card was found covered in paint on the floor." Sugarbelle said slyly, pulling out Flash's student card, "The janitor found it this morning and handed it to me..."

Flash widened his eyes, before searching his pockets, "Shit, I must've dropped it when I was painting that castle..."

"Um..." Flash stammered, "That-That could be anyone's..."

"And let's not forget all that security camera footage showing someone offly familiar casually cleaning up the auditorium," Shining Armor added.

Flash widened his eyes, not realizing his own homeroom teacher was there, he glared at him, "THERE'S SECURITY CAMERA'S IN THERE!? WELL IF THAT WAS THE CASE WHY'D YOU ALL THINK I DID THE DAMN PRANK!?"

"Because unlike you, the pranksters covered the camera. And also concealed their identities beforehand. So that's why that whole thing was very difficult..." Mrs. Harshwhinny said.

Flash widened his eyes, he really did not think this entire thing through.

Because if you haven't caught on by now, he was the one who cleaned everything up and fixed it...

Out of his own free will.

"This is bad..." He mused to himself, "This is not how I wanted things to be..."

"B-But I don't get it..."Mrs. Starscorder, "Of all the people, why did you go through all of that trouble to fix everything. You didn't even do the prank." She then frowned, "A-And I've said so many...hurtful things to you. Treated you horribly. Why did you do all of this?

"Well, at least she admitted to that!" Flash mused. Before sighing, facepalming himself. "Ugh, because you all wouldn't shut up and stop crying about the stupid thing being cancelled! And..." He blushed a little, gritting his teeth as he became a little shy to admit this, "M-M-Maybe I felt a little bad..."

...

"Aww," Sugarbelle cooed.

"SHUT UP!" Flash barked, before grumbling, "Look, it doesn't matter, what's done is done!" He turned around and headed for the door, "I'm going home! I'm taking a day off...A Looong day off!"

"Sure," Sugarbelle agreed, "I'd assume being here all night has gotten you exhausted."

"I...YOU..." Flash sighed, "H-Have a good day..." He stormed out of the office and sighed. Not happy about this predicament, "Oh man what have I done!?"

It was lunchtime. Sunset and her friends were at their usual table and of course Adagio and her group joined them.

And well, given what's recently developed...

They needed to talk.

"So let me get this straight, he just suddenly left last night!?" Pinkie Pie asked, confused.

"Well, yeah," Sonata shrugged, "But we didn't know he had planned out all of this."

"The one thing I wanna know is why he of all people decided to do all of this..." said Twilight, "I mean, he hates us, he hates this school. None of this adds up."

Ember shrugged, "Well I mean, there's a vast amount of possibilities. But by the way, he left school I'm not sure he's going to be willing to go so in-depth about it..."

Sunset sat there, drinking her strawberry smoothie. Listening to the conversations while trying to figure things out in her head.

"What is his deal!? Time and Time again, he's kept shocking us with something he says or does." She mused, "First it was his Flight ability, then his willingness to take in Adagio and her sisters, but now this!? He's continually treated us like toys for his own personal game. He's used our anger against us for his own amusement. But then when we get stumped he ends up helping us!?" She folded her arms, "What's happened to him...is this another instance of him toying with the school...or have we all just taken him for granted?"
