One week later, Fitz paced the living room in their DC home with Sabastian on his shoulder. So many things changed in ten years, and yet so many things stayed the same. There was still children laughing and running when Olivia and Fitz were home, though it was no longer Amelia and Sophia. It was Karen, Serenity and Savannah. They still had the same houses in DC. Olivia didn't want to sell their houses. She continued to pay the bills at her house. Their home together, that he was standing in right now, had so many good memories over the years. He still thought about their wedding day. They were sitting on the sofa holding each other. He was laughing at how Olivia was upset about her purses. Ironically, Olivia was less materialistic now that she could afford anything she wanted. They had a home in Vermont, two homes in California, a beach home in the Caribbean. Though, spending time together at their homes was a special occasion for them. The longest they had been apart was two years. He didn't want to turn down the opportunity to be the first astronaut to walk on mars. He would be in the history books for his accomplishments. No matter how much success he achieved, he still hated leaving his family. Olivia always cried a few tears when she left for the airport. Karen was really clingy for a ten year old. Amelia was really distant. They had everything materialistic. Trips to theme parks with Maya and Bernadette. Olivia was a celebrity, and they couldn't go anywhere without someone wanting a picture and an autograph. He was always recognized by science nerds. He wondered if Olivia would quit her career now. He didn't want the next ten years to be like this.
"He likes you more than me." Olivia said.
Fitz was lost in his thoughts, and he didn't hear her come downstairs. Karen was with the twins and Amelia was living with Sophia. Olivia had been avoiding calls from magazines. They all wanted a picture of Sabastian.
"He likes you more. We can stay like we are now Livvie."
"I'm already in a contract."
"You can pay the fines to get out of it."
"I'm supposed to start filming after the maternity break. How can I walk away from everything?"
"I'm quitting space travel."
"You want to be together every day."
"Yes."
"I'll think about it."
"We have a house in Vermont."
"I can't promise you anything right now."
"We can leave right now. I can pack for Karen and Sabastian. Amelia can stay in DC if she's happy being roommates with Sophia."
