Casey came into the kitchen to grab a bottle of Gatorade out of the fridge.

"Hey Case." Ashleigh said. She caught a whiff of her best friend. "Uhm, Case, you know you reek right. Did you forget to put deodorant on before your gym sesh with Claire?"

Casey sniffed her underarms. Ashleigh was right! "I guess I should've put more on before I left the gym."

Ashleigh rolled her eyes and shook her head. "What are we going to do with you? But anyway, how are your gym sessions going? It seems like you've been out with Claire almost every day this week."

"That little freshie is seriously kicking my ass, but I love it!" Casey took another big gulp of Gatorade. "It's definitely helping me to destress. Plus, I love that I'm slowly getting my body back!"

"Oh I'm sure you're not the only one excited that you've got your groove back." Ashleigh nudged Casey jokingly. "You and Cappie seem to be getting along better these days."

Casey shrugged. "So we've gone on a date or two."

"Case, you've been out with him every Thursday night since Valentine's Day."

Casey smiled. "It's been nice. This is what I wanted for me and Cappie freshman year. Is it wrong to be happy to have a little bit of normalcy back?"

"Not at all. It's been a crazy as hell year for you. A little bit of normal college girl life is just what the doctor ordered. And there is one normal college activity coming up next week."

Casey knew exactly which activity Ashleigh meant.

"Ash, you know I can't go with you guys for spring break."

"Once again, do I have to explain to you that you can't use being a mom as an excuse." Ashleigh said matter-of-factly.

"I can because somebody has to be the responsible adult and watch the kid. And that person is going to be me because his dad is going to be drunk with his buddies for the week." Casey explained. "So, thanks but no thanks."

Ashleigh pouted. "But little Kevin would look so cute sitting on the beach playing in the sand with all his little toys."

Casey shook her head and rolled her eyes. Ashleigh was right, it would look pretty cute.

"Yeah, it would be cute, but I think having a baby there will cramp everyone's style. Most families aren't exactly around for spring break for a reason. Rowdy partiers and little ones don't exactly mix."

Ashleigh argued. "So you're saying Kevin shouldn't be spending time at the Kappa Tau house at all then. Because like you said rowdy partiers and kids don't mix."

"That's different!" Casey rebutted. "The Kappa Tau's love Kevin and would never allow him to get mixed up in one of their parties."

Ashleigh had Casey just where she wanted her. "So why should it matter where the party is? If the guys will keep Kevin away from their parties like you say, then Myrtle Beach should be just as safe as the Kappa Tau house."

Casey rolled her eyes and shrugged. "You're not going to stop until I say yes, are you?"

Ashleigh smiled. "Nope. But if you need any more convincing, I had the pledges create a pro and con chart, with way more pros than cons I might add."

Casey snatched the list from Ashleigh's hand and went back to her room.

"You're welcome!" Ashleigh happily yelled in Casey's direction as she went back to eating her afternoon snack.

"So Spitter, we still headed to Mykonos?" Cappie put his arm around Rusty as they walked into the backyard.

Rusty laughed. "Sure, let me just call my dad and tell him to book a trip to Greece for 50 frat guys!"

Cappie laughed along. "See, I knew I liked your family! And if he's not willing to spring for Mykonos, at least tell me he's willing to chip in a few bucks for Myrtle Beach."

"If by chipping in you mean that he paid for my hotel for the week then yes." Rusty said.

"Just yours?" Cappie asked. "He couldn't spring for a few more rooms? Preferably a nice family suite for me, your sis, and the little man."

Rusty took a drink of his soda. "Family suite, huh. So these dates with my sister have been going that well."

Cappie smiled. "Honestly, I've been having a great time. This is the type of relationship your sister and I should've had freshman year before I went and screwed it up."

"You mean before you hooked up with random girls, dated her little sis, and then knocked her up?" Rusty knew Cappie and Casey's relationship was a bit of a disaster, but somehow they still made it work.

"Well when you put it like that you make me seem like one of those frat guys. Which I am trying to prove to your sister that I am not. So I'm trying to do things right this time around, including having the spring break that we should've had years ago." Cappie explained.

Rusty could see how important this week was for Cappie. He shook his head and rolled his eyes. "I'll call dad and see what I can do."

Cappie patted Rusty on the back. "And this is why I love you! Now come on, let's go play some beer pong!"
