Author's Note: This isn't the usual sort of snippet. Rather, it's an outline for an ASOIF and HP crossover series I couldn't get out of my head. Maybe I'll write it, but probably not. I'd love to read it though.
Part I:
Summary: A series of one shots, detailing the developing relationship between Ned and Ashara.
Part II:
Summary: A wedding in a godswood, and the steps it takes to get there.
Aka Ned and Ashara's wedding, before and after.
Part III:
Summary: The birth of Harland Stark is not without its (political) complications. Namely, the fact his father is a second son, and his Uncle Branden still remains unwed.
Part IV:
Summary: The Tourney of Harrenhal is said to be the event of the decade, but not all is as it seems.
Part V:
Summary: As Ned and Ashara prepare to welcome another baby into the world, Lyanna begins to make preparations of her own.
Part VI:
Summary: Branden and Catelyn's wedding doesn't go according to plan. In fact, it doesn't go at all.
Part VII:
Summary: Lyanna and Rhaegar elope to Dorne. Unaware of this, Branden confronts Aerys. Rickard seeks resolution. A series of poor choices create a series of poor consequences. In the fallout, Ned and Ashara are left to pick up the pieces.
Part VIII:
Summary: There is no glory in war.
Part IX:
Summary: In two different beds of blood, two boys are born, and two mothers are lost.
Part X:
Summary: As a second son, Ned never cared to join the Game of Thrones. But for his nephew, it seems, though, that he now has no choice.
Part XI:
Summary: There's no place like home, but to reach it, a toll must be paid. As far as Ned is concerned, the price is far too high.
Aka Hoster Tully is determined to see his daughter situated as the Lady of Winterfell. Ned, still grieving Ashara, is unimpressed. Neither are his children, and his brothers (by blood and by marriage).
Part XII:
Summary: Peace is the patter of little feet, the sound of children's laughter, the howl of wolves in the night. Ned watches his children grow, and time passes by in the blink of an eye.
Part XIII:
Summary: Harry is 10 years old, and Ned has left to fight in another war.
Part XIV:
Summary: Ned returns home, and he's brought with him a stray Greyjoy.
Part XV:
Summary: It's been a long time since dire wolves were seen south of the Wall.
Part XVI:
Summary: Coming of age is not without its trials.
Part XVII:
Summary: Harry (16) is a man grown, with all of the responsibilities and expectations therein. Adara Tallhart (16) is clever and fierce and beautiful, and duty has never been so easy.
Part XVIII:
Summary: As Winterfell prepares to welcome Harry (17) and Adara's (17) firstborn into the world, Lyra (16) returns home from Dorne, more beautiful and more lethal than ever.
Part XIX:
Summary: Life is not without its tragedies. A year after the birth of Toben Stark, two boys are born in a bed of blood, and another mother is lost.
Part XX:
Summary: Winter is coming, and Lyra Stark's (18) wedding to Willas Tyrell (21) is a boon the Northern Lords cannot deny.
Part XXI:
Summary: A lot may change in three years. Artos (16) is not the same boy he once was, and Mira Forrester (15)has grown into a beautiful woman.
Part XXII: The Truth Shall Set You Free
Summary: Jon has plans for his future, but the family does not approve. It is, perhaps, time to tell him the truth.
Part XXIII:
Summary: Although it feels like it, time does not stand still. Ardos weds Mira, Lyra becomes a mother, Jon sees more of the world. In Winterfell, Harry's children grow, and life falls into a predictable routine. And then the raven arrives.
Part XXIV:
Summary: As Jon's travels with Arthur lead him East, as Ardos and Mira settle into their new home and new life together, as Harry unwittingly delves into the forgotten secrets of House Stark,, Ned welcomes King Robert (and half of his court) to Winterfell. The visit does not proceed as anyone expects.
Part XXV: The Game of Thrones
Summary: Despite his misgivings, Ned travels to King's Landing as Hand of the King, accompanied by Catelyn, Sansa, and Arya. There, Ned is met with plots and poison and politics at every turn, and with none he can trust besides. The question is: Will the Quiet Wolf survive the Game of Thrones? Better yet, will the Game of Thrones survive the Quiet Wolf?
