Lightning and Cal finished up with the run. Cal walked up to Lightning and asked, "Did Bobby talk to you?" Lightning nodded and began to explain, "Look, I should not have mentioned it at all. It was something between Bobby and I and Jesse and Sally and I blew that." "Yeah, obviously. Meg already decided that we aren't friends with them anymore." "What?" Lightning asked in confusion. Cal nodded and continued, "Yup. Meg is done with them." "So?.. You are by default or something?" Lightning asked rudely. Cal sighed, "Marriage is complicated, Light... Meg is the boss. What she says, goes." "So you are no longer friends with Bobby because of Meg?" Lightning was in disbelief. Cal nodded.

Lightning shook his head and began to argue, "No, that doesn't make sense. You can have your friends." "Yeah, but I'm not going to upset my wife. She comes first." Meg then walked up to Cla and Lightning and asked, "Can I talk to you, Lightning." Lightning knew it was about Jesse and he snarled, "Look, just because you and Jesse have different views, doesn't mean you have to tell Cal not to be friends with Bobby." Meg's jaw dropped slightly. She shook her head, saying, "That's not what I want to talk to you about." Sally and Mater then walked up. Meg sighed and growled, "Never mind.. I'll talk to you later.." Then walked away. Cal was concerned with that and chased after his wife. Lightning wrapped an arm around Sally and asked, "YOu and Meg okay?" Sally nodded, "Yeah, why wouldn't we be?" "Because she has pretty much forbidden Cal and Bobby's friendship over this stupid situation and that's not fair."

Sally shrugged and replied, "Meg just feels strongly about her beliefs." "Sure, but that doesn't give her the right to force people to believe what she does or cut them off. That's unfair. That's unfair to Cal." "I think Cal is just being respectful of Meg's wishes," Sally explained. Lightning scoffed rudely. Part of him disliked Meg now. Lightning then asked, "Would you make me cut off a friendship, just because we had different opinions?" "Well.. No, but"-"Megh is so stupid." "Lightning..." Sally growled. "Meg is still our friend. She's my friend. We just have to get them to see that they and the Swifts are still friends." "How?" Asked Lightning. The couple was clueless. Mater spoke up with the idea that "What if you two pretend to fight and they take sides to get you two back together or something?" Sally and Lightning stared at each other. It was a ridiculous idea, but it just might work!...

Mater went to his motel room and the couple made their way to theirs. Walking inside the room, Sally began, "I want to buy a jeep." Lightning raised a brow as he closed and locked the door. "A jeep?" "Yeah. We could start doing trail rides. Like when we borrowed Chad's." "You hated that trip." "I didn't hate it, it just wasn't all that great." "You're more of a car girl.. Not a jeep girl." Lightning reminded. Sally shrugged, "I could be a jeep girl." Lighting just stared. His expression seems to be that of disgust and Sally noticed. "What?' She asked."What is it?"

Lightning sighed, "Just.. There you go again. Talking about changing who you are for no reason." "I'm not changing who I am, I'm.. I'm being more open to new things. OH! We should start camping!" Sally exclaimed. Lightning began to worry. She dyed her hair, she wanted to look different, act different, do things that he wasn't into, and that he just knew she would wind up hating. Lighting walked over and gently grabbed Sally's shoulders, looking into her eyes, "Sal.. I love you for you. I want to marry the woman I love and fell in love with. This... This new you thing is not needed and frankly, you're making me nervous." "Nervous? How?" Sally asked as she crossed her arms.

Lightning sighed, "I don't know.." "Because I look like Josie?' Sally snarled in question. Lightning stared at her, at her hair. "You don't." He assured. "You are just being.. Different..." "Different or not boring?' Sally asked. Lightning glared answering, "Different. I don't like it." He growled. Sally snickered and shook her head before arguing, "Well you changed." "I have not." "Yeah, you have." Sally corrected. Lighting crossed his arms and asked, "Okay, how? And for better or worse?" Sally scoffed, "Oh, you want me to make a list? Okay! You are two-faced anymore. When we are together, you act like you are bothered by your fame. You want to be alone with me, but the second we are apart, you eat up every slut, camera, fan, JOSIE's attention! You want kids, but when I ask about it or to prepare to stop taking birth control, you decide suddenly not to even talk about it for an entire year! Or at least until we are married. You pretend you only love me, but your eyes wander a lot! Yeah, I notice Mister McQueen!" She snapped as she poked at his chest.

Lightning swatted her hand away and defended, "I don't like that the press and sluts and people or fans crowd me when we are in public together because they only want to get us kissing or me grabbing your ass, or ask about how we are, I am, you are in bed! And if it makes you feel better, that's not just you! I've always been that way with ALL of my partners! My sex life is not the media's story! Next, I don't want kids right now! I don't want to even think about it until we are married for multiple reasons! One, yes, my image! Because I don't want the press to start the stories about how we must be getting married because I knocked you up! Do you not remember the underage girl story!? Another reason, I'm not ready! And if you keep pushing me, I will NEVER be ready! Why would you want to make me have a baby with you anyway? And hear what I said there, Sal. MAKE. At this point, you might as well be poking holes in condoms or stop taking the pills! I won't lie, part of me wonders if you already have and are lying to me. And I don't look around at other women! I love you- I loved.. You..."

He stopped and took a breath. Thinking before continuing. "I loved who you were before all this weird change.." Sally shook her head ad muttered, "If you can't love who I'm becoming then leave.." "What? Seriously? That's silly. Of course, I love who you're becoming." He assured. Sally didn't believe him. "You and I are different and we're fighting... We're fighting already.." She whimpered. Lightning didn't understand and shrugged it off with, "Yeah, we're.. Arguing over stupid crap again, but I wouldn't call this a fight." "What if this is a mistake?" She asked. Lightning still didn't understand and Sally could tell.

She then asked even stranger questions. "Would you still love me and want to be with me if I were fat?" "... What?" "Would you love me and still marry me if I were fat?" "... Are you already pregnant?" "NO!" "Then what is this about, Sally?" "What if I had an affair? A small one? Would you still?" She asked. Lightning took a deep breath before asking this next one. "Did you sleep with someone else?" "NO! No, never! I would never do that to you!" She snapped as she slapped him across the chest. Lightning stepped back then scolded, "This is exactly what I'm talking about! You are being weird! You are trying to change and for what, I don't know! I can't tell if this is just cold feet or maybe you dealing with what happened on the trip, but it's freaking me out!" "Are you going to choke?" "What?" "Are you going to choke at the last minute and not want to marry me?" Asked Sally.

Lightning stared at her with just.. Confusion, concern, disbelief. What was going on with her? He cocked his head a bit to the left as he stared at his girl. Trying to figure out what the hell was wrong with her. Sally frowned then asked, "What if?.. What if I"-"Stop. Just stop for a second." Lightning snarled. Sally stared silently at him as he was thinking for a moment. Lightning took some time then sighed and replied, "Do you need space? Are you trying to push me away or something? It's not working if you are. I love you and I want to marry you and I can assure you that I am all in. I'm all in this. This and your crazy whatever this is that you're doing now, okay? You're stuck with me. You're stuck with me unless you say the words, it's over, and ask me to leave, okay? Because I love you. Only you. You're just.. Going through something and... You can talk to me, Sal.. You can talk to me, you know that.. Right?" He asked. Honestly, Sally was amazed by how committed and sweet Lightning was here.

She smiled a little and nodded. "Good.." Replied Lightning. Staring at her. At each other. He was still trying to figure out what was up with his girl. Sally frowned again though and mumbled. "I hate my hair..." Lighting sighed, "It's not bad at all..." "I want you to take me to a salon tomorrow.. " "Sal.." "No, I do. I want to see if they can help me fix this..." She explained. Lightning stared at her. Not sure how to help whatever was going on with her. He walked up to her, pulled her close against his chest, and said, "I'm here for you. Always. I don't know what this is really about and I don't know what you need from me, but I'm here, okay? I love you and I'm not going to just abandon you. Talk to me.. I'm a pretty good listener when I want to be. And I want to listen to you. I want to know everything about you and everything that is bothering you. As your future husband, I am going to try to make sure you are never in pain or need, and never hurting. Physically and emotionally and.. Well, I would say financially, but you kind of got that covered without me. I can say sexually. I will always make sure you are sexually fulfilled." He added.

Sally snickered and tried not to smile. Lightning smiled and lifted her chin, saying, "See? I can still cheer you up." Sally nodded. He could. Lighting kissed her forehead. "I love you." he husked, hugging her closely. sally sighed into his chest. Wrapping her arms around him and just embracing the moment. She was deeply thinking and it was going to destroy her at this point...

Knock, knock, knock. Lightning rolled out of bed and slipped on a shirt over his head then some pants. Sally sat up and watched. Lightning noticed as he buttoned up his jeans and asked, "Enjoying yourself?" She groggily replied, "I'll enjoy watching you get undressed again." Lightning snickered then walked out of the room. Knock, knock, knock. Again. Lightning opened the door to see his agent, Miranda. "Miranda?" He questioned.

The woman smiled and asked, "Why aren't you ready?" "For?" 'Uh, the photoshoot for the magazine? I set it all up for you!" She yelped. Lightning rubbed his eyes and admitted that he forgot all about it. "Well, whatever. Hurry up and get dressed champ!" She urged as she pushed him back into the room. Lightning turned to her and explained. "I didn't pack anything special for it." "That's fine. I can have something picked up-or better yet, just wear the race suit. Everyone loves the suit." She then grabbed her phone out and began texting or emailing or something. Lightning grabbed his shoes and slipped them on then walked into the bedroom to tell Sally.

"I have to go to a photo shoot." "Yeah... Hey, can you drop me off at the salon on the way?" She asked. Lightning nodded with, "Of course, but.. Your hair really isn't that bad." "Just different.. I know." Sally mumbled. Lightning finished getting ready and as did Sally then they, along with Miranda headed out. Dropping Sally off on the way to the shoot...

Lightning posed for the camera. *flash* Miranda played on her phone. Lighting posed again. *Flash* he sighed and asked, "Isn't that enough? We've been here forever..." Miranda glanced up and answered, "Almost." *Flash* Lightning glared at the cameraman. "Give them an old ka chow." Coaxed Miranda. Lightning leaned forward with his shoulder, cricket smiling. *Flash* Miranda noticed he wasn't himself today and asked, "What's wrong?" "Nothing." "You are dragging." "I'm not dragging." Lightning corrected. Miranda disagreed. "You are. And dragging cost us money." Lightning sighed. Posing again. *Flash*

Olivia then walked in and interrupted "I'm going to steal the driver now, Miranda." Miranda raised a brow and asked, "Why?" Olivia stared at Miranda and asked, "Who are you?" Miranda's brows lowered. "His agent. We talked on the phone." She reminded. Olivia cocked her head a bit and said, "I don't think so. But nice to meet you." Miranda crossed her arms and watched Olivia walk up to Lightning and say, "I have the limo waiting. We're making an appearance today." "Where?" Asked Lightning. "Ford dealer." ".. Why?" Lightning asked. Miranda walked up and asked, "Yeah, why?" Olivia pulled out her phone and glanced at it before answering, "Shake hands with the ford guy or whatever. The deal with the Ford." She reminded.

Lightning shook his head and explained, "No, I never took the deal. I'm sticking with my car." "Rusty and Dusty seem to think it would be best if you took the deal." Miranda then asked, "Really? They never told me anything about that. They told me that it was up to Lightning." Olivia snickered, "Yeah, well. You're only the agent. I'm running things for them until they feel well enough to again and they told me that Rusteze could use the extra income this season." LIghtning then asked, "They can just adjust my pay. I make more than I need." "That's very generous Mister McQueen, but no. They told me it would be good. A change." "Really?" Asked Lightning.

Olivia held up her hand to his mouth and said, "Sh,sh,sh.. Don't question me. I would think after all Rusty and Dusty have done for you, you'd do this little thing for them." She removed her hand from his mouth. Lightning was not happy about this, but.. He would do anything for Rusty and Dusty after all they did. "Alright.." "WHAT!?" Miranda snapped! "I suggested you take the deal weeks ago, but she comes in and mentions it once, and boom! You take the deal?" Olivia smiled proudly and said, "Don't cry about it.. You're only an agent and can only do so much with people like Lightning here. Come on, let's go." Olivia said and motioned for Lightning to follow. Lightning did, along with Miranda.

"We need to pick Sally up on the way." He ordered. Olivia sighed and pressed the elevator button before saying, "Fine. Miranda can pick her up and meet us at the dealership. They got your new race car there already." "Really? Wow.. Sounds like you might have made the deal before even talking to me.." Lightning muttered. Miranda crossed her arms and agreed with that. The doors opened and the three got into the elevator. Olivia rolled her eyes and replied, "It's not the race car that you will race. It's a proto-type. For pictures." "Oh." Lightning muttered.

The elevator reached the bottom floor and the three made it outside to the vehicles. Olivia texted on her phone, Miranda's buzzed and she glanced at it then Olivia announced, "That was me. That's the dealership address. Get Sally and meet us there. Lightning, come with me." She ordered as she got into the limo. Lightning sighed then did as instructed, shutting the door behind him. Miranda watched the limo drive away. Suspicious. She didn't trust Olivia...

Sally got into the car and realized Lightning wasn't there. "Wait.. I thought you said Lightning was waiting on me?" She questioned Miranda. Miranda nodded, "Yeah, at the dealership." "Dealership?" "Mmhm. It's black now?" Miranda asked, pointing to Sally's hair. "And a little shorter.." "Yeah, well.. They tried a brown and it turned out a little greenish in certain lighting so I went with black for now." "Oh, honey..." "Don't say it. I've already heard about how I have ruined my hair by many others." "I.. I was going to say the black looks good. Better than the red. It makes your eyes pop, more so than the blonde." Miranda complimented.

Sally smiled and asked, "You think so?" Miranda nodded. That did make Sally feel better. Miranda noticed that Sally was wearing the 95 women's bomber jacket and asked, "Do you like it? The jacket?" Sally glanced down then answered, "Yeah, I do. It's nice that it's not a tight fit like most of the women's products." Miranda snickered and joked, "That's Lightning for you." "What?" "That's what he wanted. It's in his contract." "What are you talking about? Women's jackets?" Asked Sally. Miranda giggled. "No. The style of the womens clothing. I'll admit, it was weird when I read over it, but some guys are just.. Guys." She laughed.

Sally wasn't sure what Miranda was talking about at all, but she would find out later. The car pulled up to the dealership. Sally glanced out the window to see Lightning talking to some man in a suit. She sighed as she looked away. "I wonder what changed his mind.." She muttered. Miranda crossed her arms and answered, "Olivia. I don't know who she thinks she is, but Lightning is my client." Sally raised a brow and stared at the agent. Miranda blushed and added, "In a good way. I care about what Lightning wants. If he wanted to continue driving the Bolt, that's fine with me. But she tricked him." "She did!?" Sally snapped.

Miranda shrugged, "Well.. No.. Maybe.. I don't know." "Do you have evidence?" "No... She says that Rusty and Dusty wanted the extra income, but.. I'm not sure." "Are they sick?" Sally asked. Miranda sighed, "Yes. I called and asked how they were doing yesterday." Sally frowned. Suddenly the door of the car opened which made Sally jump a little. Lightning leaned over and his eyes widened at the sight of her hair. "Wow.. It's.." "Different?" Sally asked with a glare. Lightning out on a smile. "Different is one way to describe it." Sally rolled her eyes and got out of the car. Lightning pulled his girl close and kissed her cheek. Inhaling her scent.. Wow, she smelled amazing. "You think tonight I can finally hold up to what I've been saying I'd do to you?" Sally snickered, answering, "Sure." "Oh, the things I'd love to do to you.." He whispered into her ear. "If only we were alone.." He added.

Sally smiled a little, but she instantly thought of the things she feared him doing. He was kind of a creep and now she began to think he looked at women a lot more than she thought from the beginning. She pulled back and asked, "What contract do you have about clothing merchandise?" "What?" Lightning asked with a raised brow. He just was not expecting that question. But before Sally could further go into detail, Olivia walked up and grabbed Lightning's arm saying, "Come on. Time for a few photos and the signing of the agreement." Lightning had to go. Sally smiled and said, "We can talk later." Watching him go and work. She sighed and grabbed out her phone, calling Rusty and Dusty first to check on their health, on this Ford deal, and ask if she can go over Lightning's contract with them...

Lightning finished with the poses and photos. Signing the agreement with the name brand. Olivia took the agreement and glanced at it. Smiling, she said, "Great job, Lightning. I'll have this sent over to Rusty and Dusty first thing in the morning." Sally walked up and snatched the papers out of Olivia's hand and snapped "Rusty and Dusty never told you they needed or wanted more income. This was not discussed with them." "Yes, it was." Argued Olivia. Lightning looked at his girl and asked, "What do you mean?"

Sally crossed her arms as she held the papers and answered, "Olivia told them that you wanted something new when they hired her. Two weeks ago. She had the car made up at the time." Lightning shook his head and corrected, "The deal was just offered to me like a week ago, Sal." "Through your agent, Miranda. Rusty and Dusty turned them down originally without even telling you because they knew you would want to keep the Bolt. But when they hired Olivia to temporarily be your boss, she took her chances and bought the car, made the deal behind everyone's back because of the extra income. Rusty and Dusty told her that she could keep any extra she brought in as a bonus and here we are."

Olivia snickered and reminded, "He already signed the contract. He's driving Ford now." Sally ripped the contract in half. Olivia became furious. Lightning then yelped, "Sal! You can't just do that! I just shook hands with the dealer, I just agreed verbally to his face that I would drive his brand!" Sally was shocked and asked, "So you don't want to drive the Bolt now!?" "I WANT to keep my word!" LIghtning snarled rudely! Sally stared at her fiance'. Olivia smiled proudly. Lightning turned to her and announced, "You're fired."

Olivia only giggled and explained, "You can't fire me. I'm your boss, remember?" Lightning stared at her. She was right though. "I know Rusty and Dusty let you run the show most of your career, but I am not going to let some driver stomp all over me." Sally then stepped in with, "WHat you did was sneaky and we will be telling Rusty and Dusty about this." "And force them to work while they are sick in the hospital?" "No, I'll run Rusteze," Sally announced. Lightning's eyes widened and he grabbed Sally by the shoulder and forced her to look at him directly. "Sal, I know you have good intentions, but this is my problem, my work. You already run two motels, are the town's and my attorney. This is way too much on you." "I can handle it, Lightning. I do well when I'm working." "But."-"Trust me, I got this, okay?" Sally assured with a smile.

She then turned back to Olivia and pulled out her phone. "I'll just tell Rusty and Dusty what you have been doing." Lightning sighed. This is not what he wanted. Worse, Sally would be his boss, and he just had a bad feeling about this...

Sally spoke to Rusty and Dusty on the phone, assuring them that she could handle everything for them for a week or so. Just until they were better. Rusty was worried it would be too much on her so asked if she'd give the phone to Lightning. Sally looked at her fiance and said, "They want to talk to you." Lightning took the phone and answered, "Hey, how are you two doing?"

Well, we'll be fine. Just tired..

"I'm sorry we even bothered you guys about this."

Don't be. We want the best for you, Lightning. Olivia was a bad egg and we apologize for that.

"No. She was fine. A little pushy, but fine."

Really? Sally made it seem like she was a little more than pushy.

"Yeah.. She's... Sally is.. A workaholic.."

What do you say? Do you want Olivia or Sally to run the company for another week or so?

"... Olivia wasn't that bad..."

So, Olivia?

"... No.. I choose Sally..."

Then it is settled! *cough* I'll call Olivia and give her the news. *cough*cough*

"You two get better."

Will do, kid. Tell Sally the good *Cough* news for us.

Lightning hung up and handed Sally her phone. She asked, "What did they say?" Olivia's phone rang and she answered, immediately becoming angry. Sally, Miranda, and Lightning stared at her. She was fired. Sally smiled proudly and said, "Guess I'm your boss for a while, huh?" Lightning smiled nervously and nodded. This was a terrible idea...

The couple went out for lunch. Just the two of them before they would go meet up with Mater and the team at the race track to set up for the race. Sally was glancing at her phone. Okay, staring at it. Scrolling and reading something. Lightning sipped his water and noticed that Sally had barely touched her plate and asked, "Aren't you hungry?" "Starving." She answered as she stared at the screen. Lightning gently pushed her plate closer to her.

Sally then asked, "Did you make this contract up recently?" Lightning sighed and asked, "Aren't you going to eat?" "Yeah." Sally set down the phone and finally began to eat. Lightning watched her a moment. He was nearly finished by this time. Sally noticed him staring and asked, "Did I take that long reading?" Lightning nodded and asked, "Are you sure you can handle running Rusteze for the week? It's a lot of extras for you." "I am extra." Sally joked.

Lightning sighed. Sally glanced back at her phone. Lightning glared and asked, "Should I get my nose pierced?" Sally took a bite of food as she stared at the screen and scrolled it. Answering, "MMhmm." Lightning rolled his eyes and grabbed her phone out of her hand. "HEY!" Sally snapped! Lightning shook his head and scolded, "You've been on that thing non-stop since we left the dealership. Take a break!" "Lightning! I was reading over your merchandise contract," "Why?" "Because Miranda commented on it." "So?" "SO!? Do you know you signed to have only certain styles of womens clothing, but not mens?" "All racers have to pick that." "No, most have their agents do that, but this contract wasn't signed by an agent, it was signed by you. When did you sign this?" "I don't know? Why does it matter?" "Because you only seel womens tight shirts, tight tank tops with the spaghetti straps, mini skirts, stockings, sneakers, bows, hair ties, sports bras in small sizes, and panties! Nothing normal, nothing baggy or comfortable." "There are too baggy tops for women." A crop top doesn't count!" Sally growled in anger.

Lightning shrugged and asked, "What is the big deal? It's just merchandise." "It's not just merchandise! You have fans that are under eighteen and yet your womens clothing line is a little on the stripper side, Lightning. You think having a baby with your fiance is bad for your image, THAT is bad. No father wants to take his fifteen-year-old daughter into the Lightning McQueen womens section. I'm surprised you don't sell sex toys at this point. Oh wait, there it is, handcuffs." Sally glared. Arms crossed, angry, glare. Lightning admitted, "I guess that is pretty bad.. I never thought about it. When I made up the agreement for the merch, I was young, I was a rookie." "You were a whore." "I was. I won't lie, I was. But.. I've changed." "And yet, a fourteen-year-old would look like a slut if she bought your merchandise." "Why is girl x getting younger?" "Lightning." "Okay, fine. We can fix this. You're the boss now, right?" He smiled stupidly.

But he was right, she was. Sally nodded with, "You're right. I can turn your fan-base into respectable, nice, good, and well-dressed, people." "Wait, now hold on. Not that I don't want that, but my fans aren't exactly high-class citizens. This is racing.. I'm from Texas. Girls, racing, alcohol, steak, and football. Even though I barely watch it. That's me, that's who I am and that's what the fans love." Sally glared even more furiously and asked, "Why are girls at the top of your list?" Lightning sighed and leaned back in his seat. He really did it now. He knew that this fight was only getting started and knew that having Sally as his boss was a bad idea.

"Cheerleaders." He answered in a low growl. Sally leaned forward and asked, "How many cheerleaders did you sleep within high school?" Lightning shook his head, answering "None of your business. I think we are past that anyway. Look, you can change the merch for women to whatever you want, I don't care. As long as you're happy and not mad at me for something I did back in my rookie days so that we can move on and pretend this conversation didn't even happen." "Oh you'd like that, wouldn't you?" "YES!" Lightning shouted which made people stare.

Sally stared at her food then announced, "Suddenly, I'm not so hungry.." Lightning sighed. Staring at his girl. What was her problem lately? It was like she was trying to push him away anymore. Trying to make him want to leave her. Did she really want to get married? If not, why did she say yes? Of course, she did. They loved each other. Why was he even thinking like that. Lightning let it go, again. Because he believed he was just overthinking small things...

Race Day

Lighting and Sally walked through the garage area as they headed to the pits. A lot of people stared at them. Talking in whispers. Sally looked to Lightning and ask, "What are they all talking about?" Lightning sighed, "Could be our engagement. Could be the fact that you are my temp boss now." "No one knows about that." "It's your hair.." Lightning explained. Sally brushed some of her hair behind her right ear. She was feeling pretty self-conscious about it. Jesse walked up and began walking with the couple. "How are you two?" Sally answered, "Doing okay. How are you? Have you?..." "No, not yet," Jesse answered.

She sighed then stopped the couple and glared at Lightning. Lightning rolled his eyes and muttered, "I can take a hint.." He then kissed Sally on the head and said, "See you in the pits." Sally nodded with a smile then turned to her friend and asked, "What's up?" Jesse crossed her arms and growled, "First off, what is with the hair? I mean you are killin that color! It looks sexy and hot! Like an upgraded version of Megan Fox. But why?" She asked. Sally shrugged, answering, "I don't know.. It was.. Stupid. Um.. I just felt that I needed a change." Jesse snickered, "Well you look hot. It's one way to add some spice to the bedroom." She laughed.

Sally nodded then asked, "Are you still?.. Getting.. The abortion?" Jesse nodded as she placed her hands on her hips. "I am. I think. I think so. It's best really that I do. Not just for Bobby and I, but for me. I can't do this, I.. I barely wanted to marry Bobby and.. I don't want kids, I don't want a family." "But you will. One day. And then you might regret doing this." Sally explained. Jesse thought about that. But she shook her head saying, "Nah, I doubt it. I don't see Bobby ever being a father type. I'm not exactly the mother type either for that matter."

Sally took Jesse's hand in hers and started to say something, but then Jesse saw Meg and said, "I gotta go.." And walked in the other direction. Sally looked over to see Meg and sighed. This was bad. Meg walked up and asked, "How is the baby killer?" Sally shook her head and gently scolded, "That's not okay, Meg.." "Whatever. How are you and wow.. It's.. Black now." "Yeah. Yeah, I had to change it.. I just kept thinking of Josephine.." "Oh. OH, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said what I said about that." "It's fine. I don't want Lightning to look at me and think of someone else." Sally explained. Meg nodded then the two talked about maybe changing the place of Sally and Lightning's wedding as they walked to the pits...

Meg walked up to see Cal with Lightning. She grabbed Cal's arm as Sally walked up and stood next to Lightning. Cal noticed Sally's hair and asked, "What happened to you?" Meg elbows her husband for that. Cal's brows lowered as he glared at her. Sally assured it was fine and said, "I just wanted a change and this is it." She smiled. Cal raised a brow then looked to Lightning. Lightning just shrugged. Bobby and Jesse began walking by. The other two couples stared. Jesse rudely asked, "What ya'll staring at!?"

Meg rolled her eyes as Cal snarled, "Just keep on walking." Bobby stopped and growled, "Least I don't try and make people do things they don't want to." "Are you kiddin me, Bobby? You are the one wanting to murder a baby!" Cal shouted! Bobby stomped over and got into Cal's face and asked, "What in Chrysler's name did you just accuse me of?" "Murder," Cal growled. Bobby snickered and replied, "Least I can knock my wife up!" That did it. Cal reared back and punched Bobby in the face! Bobby took a step or two back as he grabbed his nose. He pointed at Cal and yelled, "Watch your back out there today Weathers! I will wreck yo ass!" "Bring it, Swift! I'm gonna.. Wreck.. Your ass." "Great come back, Cal!" Bobby snapped as Jesse pulled him back and walked away.

Sally snickered as she tried not to laugh. Lightning stared at her and asked, "What is so funny?" Sally covered her smile and answered, "Nothing. Nothing at all, I just.. I don't know. I'm sorry." She apologized. Lightning rolled his eyes. Cal rubbed his fist and whined, "That hurt a lot more than I remember." Lightning then explained, "It's because of how you hit him." He then placed a hand on Cal's shoulder, warning his friend to "Watch your back out there, Cal.. Bobby will come after you if you piss him off.. And you pissed him off." Then patted Cal's back as he walked around to grab his helmet. Meg sighed and guided Cal to his pits. Sally watched Lightning finish getting ready and asked, "Should we do something? About our friends? They are hating each other over this.."

Lightning sighed, "Yeah, no. It's not out of business and besides, it's a ridiculous fight. Cal and Meg are in the wrong, but because they are the Weathers and are used to getting everything they want, they are being pricks about it." "Lightning, Bobby, and Jesse are killing a baby." "They are having an abortion. They aren't ready to be parents." "Like you?" Sally reminded. Lightning froze and stared at his future wife. Why did she say that right now? He wondered. Sally closed her eyes and apologized. "Sorry.. I.. It's not right. I could never do something like that and knowing you can that you would.. It makes me mad." She admitted. Lightning sighed and played with his helmet a second as he stared at Sally.

Maybe they needed to talk a little bit more about this baby thing and waiting until they were married because it seemed like something was wrong. Lightning leaned forward and kissed Sally's cheek. "After the race." He began. "After the race, we can talk if you want." "About?" Questioned Sally. Lightning shrugged and answered, "About anything. You seem to like this is really bothering you and I want to be the person you vent to. I'm here for you, I love you." He reminded with a kind smile. Sally smiled and nodded. "Yeah, okay. Sounds good to me." She replied. Lightning then put on the helmet and prepared for the race...

Lightning won the race. He won and took his victory lap, took the podium for the fans alongside his bride-to-be. The fans and press took plenty of photos and even adored Sally's dark hair! The couple posed for the cameras for a while before heading to the 95 garages. They held hands as they walked through the garages and big trucks and trailers. Talking and smiling about the wedding. "Meg thinks we shouldn't have it at Wheel Well." Sally announced. Lightning scoffed, "Yeah, well, I don't care about what Meg thinks right now. Plus, Wheel Well is special to us. I want to have it there." "And you know how we said it would be a small wedding?" "Yeah." "Well, it won't be. Probably. You have a really big family, Stickers." "So?" "And I have a good-sized one, plus friends and all the race fans and press that might sneak in." "Woah, Woah. Who said anything about letting fans into the wedding? And press sneaking in? I never thought about that.. Maybe we should hire security."

Sally giggled at that, but then they both stopped and stared ahead. Bobby and Jesse and Cal and Meg were arguing with each other. Sally sighed and asked, "Shouldn't we get between them?" Lightning nodded saying, "I got this..." He then walked up and separated the two of them and shouted "Enough! Now that's enough! Cal, I'm sorry, but you have no right. This choice that Bobby and Jesse are making is on them. It doesn't affect you and frankly, I'm with them. So leave them alone and drop this. Now." Lightning ordered as he stared directly at Cal. Sally then stepped in and asked, "Wait, what? You believe that?" "What?" Asked Lightning. Sally yanked him away from the guys and made him look at her, "You truly believe that they should kill the baby?" "It's abortion, Sal, and yes. Yes, I'm with them." "Of course you are, you wanted me to get one." "People are staring." "Let them stare! I don't care, Lightning!"

Bobby then snapped, "If you are on Cal's side then we're done here!" Sally then said, "We are definitely on Cal's side!" Lightning's brows lowered, "Sally"-"No. We are on Cal and Meg's side here. They have been wanting a baby for a while now and then these two fuck up and want to just throw it in the trash?" "I get it. It's sad what's happening to Cal and Meg, Sorry guys. But, Sally.. This is not about sides. This is Jesse and Bobby's life, their choice, their baby." "And you want to take their side!?" Sally yelled as her eyes teared up.

"Abortion is wrong! If you love me, you will agree with that!" "Abortion is not wrong." "Yes, it is!" "NO! It's not! So if a woman is raped and winds up pregnant afterward, abortion is wrong? If two people get divorced or some one-night stand winds up with a pregnancy, abortion is wrong? If an abusive man impregnates a woman, abortion is wrong?! In every situation, you're not right!" Lightning yelled! Sally only yelled back with "Bobby and Jesse are fully capable of taking care of their baby, Lightning. They have money, they have the home, the community. There are other options! More than just not giving the baby a chance!" "Is this about your baby?" Lightning asked. Sally stared a moment. Thinking and maybe choosing her words carefully. The Weathers and Swifts stared. Even though they were arguing, they could both agree that Lightning went too far with that, the guys didn't even know what Lightning was talking about. "Your parents didn't choose abortion." She said firmly as she tried not to cry.

Lightning scoffed, "So?" He shrugged. Sally swallowed loudly, holding back her tears, and said, "So you got a chance at life and to become Lightning McQueen. Your parents didn't even want you and yet they gave you a chance." Then she turned away and walked away. Hurt and angry. Lightning took a deep breath and looked over to see their friends staring. Lightning nodded and asked, "I went too far, didn't I?" Meg answered with, "Go to her, Light.." Lightning apologized to them then chased after his girl. Cal and Bobby glanced at each other. Both realizing how dumb this was, but their wives.. Not so much...

Lighting chased Sally to his trailer where he watched her stomp inside then slam the door shut loudly, BAM! Lightning knocked on it and called, "Sally.. Sally, open the door.." "Go away!" "No! Just.. Just open the door and talk to me. I didn't mean that.. I.. I'm sorry. I said some things I shouldn't have and I'm sorry." "Oh great! You're sorry. Now I'm happy and everything is fine again!" "Sal.." Lightning whimpered as he rested his head against the door. "Please let me in." He pleaded. He could hear her sniffle. "No!" She shouted, "I can not believe I ever thought we were compatible! You and I do not believe the same things and it hurts! If you wanted to be with me you would agree that Jesse and Bobby are in the wrong!" "What? No. No! You can not make me think or believe something that I just don't, Sally. That is not right and you know it. We don't have to agree on everything!" "We have to agree on this! You can't want to kill our baby if I ever became pregnant. I can't stand the thought of you not wanting a baby so you just come up with the idea to kill it..." "Sal.. I.. Look, if you ever wound up pregnant before I was ready or something, we'd keep it. I'd never make you do anything that you didn't want to do, okay?" "You are just saying that to make me shut up!"

She wasn't entirely wrong, but he did mean that. He would never make her do something she didn't want to do. "Sal.." "Things were so good. We were happy. We were happy and doing well then things changed.. We were okay up until.. Until.." "Until what!?" Lightning yelled in anger. "Just say it, Sally! Until I proposed! Until I wanted to marry you! Right!?" He asked. It was quiet for a moment. Sally whimpered, "I never said that.." "You didn't have to." Lightning growled. He sighed and repeated that "You didn't have to..." It fell quiet. Neither saying a word. This is when Lightning noticed Mater standing a few feet away. Probably heard this entire fight. Not that it was in a very private setting anyway.

Lightning placed his hand on the door as he said, "Maybe we shouldn't get married..." Sally didn't reply to that. She wasn't even talking to him. Mater stared at his friend. That hurt. It hurt seeing Lightning hurt like this. And mater did not understand what was going on here. So, he asked, "Is Miss Sally pregnant or the lady with the fluffy hair that married your friend?" Lightning looked over and answered, "Jesse. Her name is Jesse and she is the one that's pregnant. Sally isn't." Thank god. Mater nodded. Lightning stared at his trailer door. Trying to think of what else to say to Sally. What could he say to make this better? To fix whatever the hell was wrong with her. He was clueless and helpless. So Lightning walked away.

He looked at Mater and asked, "Could you stay here and wait for her? Just wait for her to come out and see if she's okay? I need to take a walk.." "Sure, Buddy." "Thanks.." Lightning said with a fake smile then began to walk. He needed space from Sally. To think about things. He still wanted to marry her and he did not mean what he said there about maybe they shouldn't. Honestly, Lighting was scared. Scared because he was in the dark here. Sally was trying to change and trying to push him away. Or was she? Was he just overthinking all of this? He was in the dark and hurting and didn't know if it was him if it was her, the two of them. What if Sally didn't want to get married?

But that didn't make sense because they had been together for years! They had started a life together, they lived together! Bobby was right. The dog put off the entire getting married and having a family thing. Once Bandit died, Sally wanted that family again. Lightning didn't have women friends. Just Flo, who wasn't here and not the best to talk to because she was a little blunt about things. Jesse was still mad at Lightning for spilling the beans about the situation and Meg.. Was Meg. He found it hard to talk to her a lot of times unless Sally was with him or Cal started the conversation. He thought about Josephine. She always had the sweetest voice and the sweetest fix to situations.

She was kind and caring and helped people. If only he could talk to her right now. But then that would probably cause some problems between him and Sally later. Lightning sighed. His freedom was being taken away by dedicating himself to Sally and he started to notice it. He just figured that was marriage. This is what his life would be like with any woman he married. It didn't exactly make him happy about it, but he loved Sally and wanted to be with her. He was frustrated. Frustrated and angry and confused and just wanted to fix what was wrong with Sally...
