Back at the Sumeragi facility, a woman with pink hair and green eyes wearing a white lab coat, a maroon sweater, forest green pants, a black belt with a gold buckle and maroon sneakers with pink highlights was walking when suddenly she stopped to look at Franz.
"Waldo?" the woman spoke.
Franz jumped up at the voice and turned around.
"It is you!" the woman cried happily before running up to Franz and hugging him tightly.
Franz then returned the hug.
"I missed you so much Anthea dear." Franz smiled.
"Me to." Anthea sighed joyously.
Suddenly, Franz received a call.
"Yes?" Franz spoke.
"Daddy? Where are you? Mr. Delmas is looking for you and science was cancelled." Aelita answered.
"I'm sorry sweetheart but I've been reinstated by the Sumeragi. If you can, please find Mr. Delmas and place the phone on speaker so I can tell him." Franz elucidated.
Aelita took no time to find Mr. Delmas since it was lunchtime and found him talking with Jim. Mr. Delmas noticed Aelita and looked at her.
"Is something the matter Aelita?" Mr. Delmas questioned.
Aelita nodded before putting the phone on speaker.
"Hello?" Mr. Delmas spoke.
"I am very sorry to say this Mr. Delmas but I have been reinstated by the Sumeragi and have no choice but to return." Franz apologized.
"It's perfectly fine Mr. Schaeffer. I hope things improve for you." Mr. Delmas commented.
Aelita then turned the phone off.
"Thank you Aelita." Mr. Delmas thanked.
Aelita nodded before running off to the group.
"So, what happened?" Yumi wondered.
"Mr. Delmas said he hoped things improved." Aelita explained.
"Wait, if Mrs. Hertz retired, who's going to be our new teacher?" Ulrich pondered aloud.
"You don't think? Nah. Couldn't be. But if so…" Odd droned.
"What's on our mind Odd?" Jeremy interrogated.
"You don't think Naomi's dad could be our new science teacher do you?" Odd questioned.
With Franz, Anthea had another job to do. Then, a Sumeragi soldier walked up to her.
"Are you feeling alright ma'am?" the soldier queried.
Anthea nodded. The soldier then walked off. Akito returned before noticing Anthea and remembering he was working with her on an alternate project, Project Change.
Project Change was so Japan could control Adepts. Since the nanobots in injections got found out by QUILL, they aimed for a new idea. Adding nanobots that would have the same effect in food this time. Because it was a mandatory thing everyone needed.
"So, was any progress made while I was gone?" Akito queried.
Anthea shook her head.
"I'm afraid not." Anthea sighed.
"I see, well, let's make some progress shall we. I had concocted an idea that if we add some sort of coating to the nanobots they would be impossible for metal detectors to notice." Akito commented.
"But won't the nanobots be added after the produce finishes being processed?" Anthea interrogated.
"It's best the bots be added during the preparation process." Akito denied.
