(The Dragon's Roar)

*October 14th, 1920*

Everyone was relaxing in the main living room area while Irina, Felix, and Olga were reading on the couch together.

Anastasia was playing cards with Tatiana, Maria, and Alexei while Kazumi, Kaede and Bartok were watching over a sleeping Yelena.

"It's quite peaceful as of right now. It's rather expected since there isn't much to do but I'm curious to see if anyone has learned any new tricks" Kaede thought to herself as she turned over towards her right direction and gently tapped Bartok on the shoulder in order to ask him about something.

"What seems to be the problem? Is there something bothering you?" Bartok whispered to Kaede as he awaited his response.

"I'm doing good but did you learn any new tricks during your training? I know you must know something up your sleeve or is it a secret?" Kaede asked Bartok as she was met with a nod of confirmation from him which made her smile with relief and happiness.

"I'm glad, Could you show me the new move outside or something? I'm sure Akito has taught you quite well during the last two years that you've spent with him" Kaede had spoken back to him with a smile on her face.

"I can't display it since the side effects could be damaging but what I can tell you is that it's called the Dragon's Roar. I remember Akito telling me about the move but what's interesting is that this move was created by some old hermit who lived in Poland in which was taught from generations to generations before it was passed on to Akito before he met us" Bartok explained to Kaede as this new information surprised her in which left her wanting more information regarding the move.

"That's quite awesome! If I may ask, could you explain in detail what the Dragon's Roar is and how it works? I'm quite curious to know everything regarding the move" Kaede asked Bartok as she awaited her answer.

"It's pretty crazy! I remember Bartok doing that move for the first time and it was pretty wild! So Expect to be amazed at his story!" Kazumi added on to the conversation with a smile on his face as this made Kaede chuckle at his thoughts.

"You already know that I will be pretty surprised!" Kaede whispered over to Kazumi as the pair gave each other fist bumps in the process before allowing Bartok to explain what the Dragon's Roar technique is.

"You sure have a point there Kazumi. But the Dragon's Roar is an ancient technique that was created to counter the Snake's Roar in which is the exact opposite of the technique but you harness all of your positive emotions such as love, will, strength, motivation, and other such wonderful things which will create quite the powerful move. It's pretty crazy if you truly think about it but it's meant as a last resort move if things don't work out for my upcoming battle with Peter. Oh! I forgot to mention the side effects. This move will permanently damage your arm leaving it useless. So that's why I hope I'll NEVER use that move…." Bartok explained to Kaede with a serious look on his face as this new revelation seemed to shock her even more.

"Crazy right? It's not even a guarantee if you'll survive the initial attack since it's quite powerful so it's somewhat hard to master it unlike the Snake's Roar in which you can master it but let's hope that bastard Peter doesn't know about that move…" Kazumi spoke to Kaede as he stared off into the area where Anastasia was at.

"You know what's crazy about Anastasia? She is sure one of a kind. She is always finding ways to cheer everyone up or even lighting up the mood. It truly makes me respect her. I'm glad that a beautiful soul is still here…" Kazumi said to himself with a warm smile on his face as he watched Anastasia playing cards with her siblings.

"You're right. That's why I want to save them. They truly don't deserve to be murdered in cold blood. They deserve to be happy…" Kaede spoke back to Kazumi as she smiled and looked down.

"That's truly a beautiful name. It means breaker of chains or resurrection. I've heard that Nicholas II forgave some prisoners due to her birth. It's truly a remarkable thing to think about" Bartok had spoken to the duo with a warm smile on his face as he looked up towards the ceiling and thought about the previous two years.

"Breaker of chains, huh? It's ironic that if it wasn't for Anastasia going to the future then we all won't be here as one big family. I must say that the moment when she went into the future. She broke the chains that were tied up within us and brought all of us here…" Bartok said once more as he continued to think about the previous two years.

"That's one way to put it, but I'm sure that Anastasia doesn't want to be viewed as some Joan of the arc but rather as a normal girl who just wants to live freely and normally as well. She never truly had a chance to live a normal life but! I'm sure that she will have that chance and everyone here!" Kaede responded back as she gently touched Bartok's hand as the pair stared at each other.

"You better win against Peter! Okay? And treat Maria right as well" Kaede whispered to Bartok as she winked at him before releasing her hands from him which caused him to blush and smile as the others saw him.

"Heyy! Any of you three want to play spoons? Tatiana is conceding for the time being and we could use an extra player" Anastasia asked the trio as she smiled and waved in the process.

"I guess I'll step right up! This game should be fun" Kazumi answered back in a joyful tone of voice as he got up from the floor and proceeded to walk over towards where Anastasia was sitting.

"Don't worry guys! Just wait a little longer! We will reach our bright and amazing futures! We CAN do this! The road there may be tough and quite challenging but we can NOT allow John Claude or even Peter Ermakv to make it, we feel scared. We must stand strong and proud!" Kaede thought to herself as she smiled warmly as she watched everyone around her having fun and enjoying themselves for the remainder of the day.
