Megumi looked down at her plate of food. She grabs some eggs on her fork and stuffs it in her mouth. She looks over to the side, the empty spot Zoro would be sitting at if he wasn't busy. Today is just her and her father.
Sanji turned and sat down across from Megumi, setting his plate of food on the table. He smiled at her. "Don't look to upset. Mommy will be home soon." Sanji says, a little hurt she doesn't seem as happy to be with him as he is with her. But he could see why she wasn't excited about it. Zoro had been going out a lot with Franky and Usopp to practice his driving for the test thats coming up. Then with the wedding planning he's also been going with Robin and Nami to get things ready.
They already have both wedding bands done and bought. Everyone's wedding outfit is pick out, made and picked up. Even Megumi has her dress. The food is also already picked out and planned.
What they are having trouble with is the flowers and the venue. They are trying to get a place in May but most seemed to be booked and filled, having been talked about a year in advanced. And since a date and venue haven't been picked out yet they haven't gotten confirmation that their flowers are going to be ready yet. They also can't get the decorations, tables and chairs ready yet without a venue picked out and a date set. But with Robin and Vivi's help they are getting there.
Sanji knew that today Zoro is going to be practicing driving while talking to Nami and Robin. Hopefully not all at the same time. Sanji and Megumi didn't do anything special. After Zoro left Sanji and Megumi spent minutes talking about what to do for the day, should they entertain themselves at home or go out and do something to pass the time. After talking about it the decided to do both. They got ready and left the apartment. As Sanji started the car they discussed what they wanted to do. Sanji wanted to do something fun, of all the times the blonde was left to take care of Megumi he has either taken her to his work or to visit Zeff, or they stay home. Another example of this is when he took her out to Gin's restaurant. Since they have the whole day ne wants to do something different, something fun. Megumi also wanted to do something fun. After going back and forth a few times they finally decided.
Sanji starts driving with an excited Megumi in the back seat. Their first stop is the movies. They stood around looking around for what to watch. As they were standing around deciding Megumi saw a poster for a cartoon movie she loves but they don't have it at home. My Neighbor Totoro. The word Totoro sounded familiar. He bought them tickets and went in, not buying anything more because they had a big breakfast so they weren't hungry, even if they didn't he did not feel comfortable buying anything here to eat, not for Megumi. At the end of the movie Sanji found that he enjoyed it, as much as it was unusual and childish he still had fun. It was a good start to their day,
They walked around, getting some exercise. Megumi telling stories of what she and Zoro use to do before the blonde. Trying and failing to re-tell some of Zoro's bedtime stories but she was trying really hard so he let her speak. She went back in the story because she forgot to mention something.
It didn't take long for them to find a park and start playing. That tired both of them out, Sanji more than his daughter, and made them both hungry. Just in time for lunch so they made their way to the car, then drove home. At home Megumi helped Sanji make their lunch. A perfect BLT sandwich, with tater-tots and a salad on the side. The two ate with gusto as if they had been starved. It was a satisfying meal. Megumi helped her father clean up the dishes.
The rest of the day was spent at home. They drew pictures together, played some board games. Sanji introduced Megumi to Uno, so they played a couple rounds of that. After the excitement of playing games they calmed themselves down with a snack and a book. Reading a book kept both of them occupied for hours. Before either of them knew it was time to start dinner. So with help from his tiny and adorable sous chef they got dinner started. Sanji even played some music to work with. He did pause it to make sure he heard correctly. He thought he heard a knock on the door. When he didn't hear a second knock he shrugged his shoulders and continued the music chalking it up to his imagination.
Zoro stretched as he got out of the elevator. He wanted nothing more than to just go to sleep, forget dinner he'll just sleep. But he knew he can't do that, both Sanji and Megumi would make sure he ate something. That put a smile on Zoro's face. It had been a very long time since he felt this loved and happy. He couldn't wait to get home.
Zoro slows down as he saw a man standing in front of the door to his home. He watches as the man knocks. Zoro gets closer. "Can I help you?" he asks. The man turns towards him.
"Hello," he greets. Zoro gives him a nod, "I'm looking for Roronoa Zoro." Zoro blinks a few times.
"Um..." Zoro examines the man. He has a clean shaven face, slicked back brown hair, a black suit with polished shoes, and a briefcase with him. He doesn't seem suspicious. "That's me, need something?" he asks. The man gives him a smile.
"I have been looking for you for a long time now." He open his briefcase takes out a large and thick yellow envelope. He hands it over to Zoro, "here." Zoro slowly takes it, locking at the heavy envelope in his hand. Zoro looks back at the man as he reaches back into his briefcase. This time he take a smaller, thinner and white envelope. "Another one." Zoro takes that too, speechless as to what is happening. "Last thing," he reaches into his pocket and takes out a card, "my card." Zoro just takes that. "Call if you ever need anything." he says then he leaves. Zoro just stares.
What?
