A/N: since I think that I was grasping at straws on Game of Life, I decided to document the supposed events that can support this pairing.
Chapter 10: Blood War [part 4]
As the Kuchiki combie, team up to fight the Quincies.
Byakuya let Rukia, led their two man team.
And as they fight together, Byakuya could not help but feel immensely proud at Rukia's confidence and abilities.
Back then, he knew perfectly that Rukia is a very capable shinigami, but watching her fight directly.
It made him question the irrational fear he had for her safety, when in actuality, she's beyond vice-captain level.
Rukia on the other hand, felt restricted, as she tried her best to act normal, knowing that Byakuya is observing her.
She would have fought the enemy more fiercely, but she did not want to appear savage and unprofessional in front of Byakuya.
But nonetheless, they were the dynamic duo.
They are so much in sync, that their enemies were obliterated in minutes.
The perfect team.
Though they rarely talk to one another.

As they race towards the palace of Wandenrich.
Suddenly the sky lit.
Rukia felt overwhelmed by the immense power, as she recognized the source of it.
"Ichigo!" Rukia uttered in pride.
At her words, Byakuya could not help but look up at the sky.
Kurosaki Ichigo.
