The Beginning and the end

Chapter 118th

Lorelle sat inside the ambulance scared as hell watching the medical technicians work on her husband. She was watching the EKG with his heart rate lowered, along with his blood pressure, and with the technician placing an oxygen mask over his face to breathe.

"What's wrong?" she saw the technician talking to the doctor over the radio.

"We need to give him another pint of blood. His heart rate is dropping further." his associate handed him a syringe filled with some type of chemical to help his heart rate come up before going into a cardiac attack.

Loreile was holding his cold hand praying that he was going to come back to him. She closed her eyes to pray silently to god.

WHITE TUNNEL...

Once again he was finding himself inside the tunnel with the same table with no one around. He was getting sick and tire of being here all of the time.

He walks over to the table to pull out the chair in order to wait. However, he wasn't going to have to wait all that long with his ex-wife Diane showing up.

"What's the matter Jethro?" she will tell him with a pat on his shoulder.

"Why am I here again Diane?" Gibbs needed to ask once again.

She laughs in front of his front. "Are you serious Jethro? Today is the day you're going to die?" she tells him even though she was actually lying to him in order to get him to fight...

"NO!" he cried out with his response. "I can't die now? I have too much to do with getting rid of the criminals and Cartel. Plus I can't be leaving my wife and children at this point of my life." Gibbs said with an emotional response.

"I am sorry to say Jethro that it's too late now for you. You've had your chances to stay out of this white tunnel. But yet again you through that chance out the window with getting hooked up with the Cartel leader Alejandro Riveria and others."

"You mean to tell me that it was Alejandro Riveria behind the shooting at Phineas house to get me shot twice?" he insisted with asking her the question.

"Yes, Jethro. He's behind everything from the start. Even though you had thought that he was shot by you two years ago at the Metro train station during one of your so call OFF THE BOOKS operation?" she exclaimed.

"I just don't believe all this Diane as to why?" he said.

"Why? Are you that dense Leroy Jethro Gibbs?" she said to him. "Alejandro Riveria has been after you all of these years for the death of his father Pedro Hernandez."

She disappeared and the ambulance had arrived at the hospital with the doctors and orderlies waiting to bring the patient upstairs to the prepping area to get him ready for the surgery by placing him on his stomach in order to operate on his spine.

Doctor Gomez a spine specialist having spoken with Doctor Cyril Taft and others involved in the Cell Regeneration Program was able to understand the patient's medical history.

"Loreile good evening. Isn't it rather late to be calling?" she was slightly annoyed...

"You need to get to the hospital. Jethro has been stabbed in the back by a Cartel leader Alejandro Riveria. He was trying to find out about you and Shannon." she said. "The doctors so far just have started the operation. But it doesn't look good to have him able to walk or move his lower back or legs." she cries over the phone from the waiting room.

"OMG! I am getting dressed now Loriele. Please try and take it easy. I will be there as soon as possible." she said with anger all of a sudden in her gut.

"Thank you," Loreile said with taking a sip of her coffee given to her by McGee and Deliah arriving. "She's coming," she said to the gang.
